Yes both me and my wife did, but not that much more heavily than in average weekday.

She is drinking a few shots of Vodka, while I am taking a few sips of Canadian Whiskey.

Naturally we are dipping into a our herbal stash jar and smoking a few bowls of Southern Oregon Homegrown "Reparation Weed" from a Couple Pound jug courtesy of my Wife's Ex and Father of her firstborn child, but obviously these are not trimmed so gotta' split the twigs, leaf, and other items out, to get a cleaner toke out of the old stem pipe bowl.

lolwut:

I read this as him mocking those calling for a pardon. I see various sites are citing it and assuming he means it though.

Then he is just terrible at being satirical.

If he were on this site, he wouldn't get any recommendations.

It's not toxic to express support for Trump to go to jail. I too share support for the outcome of the trial and have expressed my view on that, as has other people. Now, it is generally toxic to relentlessly mock and and get personal towards people based purely on their view towards the verdict. It would be toxic if Trumpists were doing it (and they are in some corners of the Internet dominated by Trump supporters) and it's toxic as well if anti-Trumpists are doing it. Especially as, instead of playing the man, they could instead just say they have no reason to view it as unfair, even politely say there's no real room to debate that. and stop there...going out of your way to get nasty at people and unpromptedly attacking them like this just because of political disagreement over the trial, even those who think the trial was fair...is awful.

I would name Central Park after the Central Park Five...somehow. Divide it up into five, I guess?

For about a month leading up to the conviction, it was tilt/lean Trump IMHO. Now, it's a pure toss up that depends on whether or not Trump manages to get acquitted. If he's acquitted on a majority or all of the charges, he wins, if he isn't or is only acquitted on a few, I think that may be enough for Biden to hold on.

Are you talking about the appeal? I think the chances of the court allowing it, especially before the election, are very miniscule.

If appointed by a court I would try to do the job. Whether or not Trump would let me do it is another issue entirely.

I don’t want the death threats that would come with it.

Magnanimousness is important. We are still one country.
Let's not forget the Golden Rule, everyone.

I promise to treat Donald Trump the same way I would want and expect to be treated were I to constantly make racist, sexist, and other hateful remarks; constantly perpetrate fraud in my business dealings; sexually assault women and brag about it; try to ban Muslims from entering the country; separate immigrant parents from their children as a sadistic deterrent; seek to subvert a democratic election; lead a mob to attack Congress; repeatedly lie to the FBI and many others; etc. I would probably face social rejection and prison time if I did those things and I would like to think I’d be humble enough to accept that, so I think Donald Trump should as well. But I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth to a racist father, and I have on occasion faced consequences for my behavior. Maybe if those things weren’t true I’d be twisted and broken just like him.
Bold of you to assume the focus of my post is Donald Trump.
I'm talking more about how people in both parties ought to deal with each other generally.
What do you think my position is regarding all this, seriously? Be blunt.

Bold of me to assume a post in a thread about Donald Trump is in fact about Donald Trump? Come on, man. Be serious, be honest, don’t hide behind these vague holier-than-thou statements about magnanimity. Why does he deserve a shred of magnanimity, a trait he has never displayed a shred of towards anyone in his life?
I don't care for Trump. I care about people getting along though. Omelott's posts struck a chord with me and seeing the toxic discourse led me to want to try to encourage/help foster something better.
Maybe I expected too much.

I’m not seeing how there’s “toxic discourse” on both sides here, though. People are expressing support for a verdict in a criminal trial. Is it toxic to say someone convicted of serious crimes should go to jail, especially when that person has been happy to send others to jail (including verifiably innocent people)?

Though this too good to be true, Trump could probably win upstate New York this time around. But I could only see him winning the state low double digits at best. After everything is said and done, this poll could give us a clue if New Jersey is really in play in November. I do suspect Biden only getting high single digit margin in New Jersey.

Republicans have registered massively in the last 4 years in NJ so I expect NJ to be somewhat in play.
