JFK on the other hand was a pretty moderate Democrat who was strongly anti communist, if I remember well he even donated money to Nixon during his senatorial race in 1950

Technically it was Joe who paid it but yeah, HGD was too commie friendly to the Kennedys (and they probably viewed her as a threat for 1960 IMO)
