Former DNC chair candidate, and South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg announced he was engaged today, further becoming one of the biggest names in the LGBT community as 2020 approaches.

Indiana, LGBT, appeals to the white working class - could be a great candidate for the Democrats.
In what world is he one of the biggest names in the LGBT community?

He’s all we talk about on Grindr.

As I look over the posts on this thread, I notice how weak the Democrat stable is. When was the last House member elected President?

Would Cuban not pull your party further right than most of you want?

Why is Senator Warner not on any of the listS?

What happened to Senator Brown?

DO YOU WANT HILLARY TO CAMPAIGN FOR YOUR CANDIDATES IN 2016?

James Garfield was the last House member elected president in 1880.

Cuban would pull the Dems to right.

Sherrod Brown hasn't shown much interest in running. Ditto with Mark Warner.

And Hillary's era in the party is done hopefully.

Gillibrand dodges the question when asked about running for president:

So Hillary is not running in 2020!

Well I bet she campaigns for Democrats in 2018:

     https://sputniknews.com/us/201712221060223643-hero-zero-clinton-campaign-2018/

     https://www.spartareport.com/2017/07/hillary-clinton-plans-campaign-democrats-2018/

     https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/moving-forward-to-2018-the-danger-of-undead-            Y. hillary_us_5913101de4b0e070cad70a70

If she does:

Will she do it for her health?

Will she do it for love of the Democrat Party?

Whatever!

If she is alive and the Democrats do ok in 2018: she will run again.

The question will be will the Democrats do ok, if Hillary campaigns?

Sleep well!

Gillibrand running would be the least surprising development of the 2020 primary field.

I don't see what makes him an especially interesting or appealing candidate.

For what it's worth, Swalwell also had an event in Indianapolis with Andre Carson recently. Wasn't for much of a reason, tbh. Obviously people are starting to connect dots...

Politico has a new story on Warren’s potential 2020 moves, saying that she “has spent the past year making a series of below-the-radar moves that would put her in prime position to run for president in 2020 if she decides to”:

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/02/elizabeth-warren-2020-election-democrats-319045

The most revealing part is that people in her political orbit are themselves saying that she’s consciously changed her approach:

Didn't Harry Reid ask Warren to run as he was leaving the Senate? She does appear to be taking a potential run seriously. Her newfound appreciation of the media after years of running from them should raise eyebrows about a potential run.
