Last of the Canadiana for now. Ending with a local 1980s favorite signed to Nettwerk Records (Sarah McLachlan), The Grapes of Wrath. They're more folk rock than Americana, but I think close enough. Their early songs especially sounded a lot like early 1980s R.E.M.
