Donald Trump (R-NY)/Mike Pence (R-IN) – 480
LaVar Ball (D-CA)/LaMelo Ball (D-CA) – 58

Since the theoretical Ball/Ball ticket is from the same state, they are constitutionally ineligible to win CA's EVs.

Donald Trump (R-NY)/Mike Pence (R-IN) – 535
LaVar Ball (D-CA)/LaMelo Ball (D-CA) – 3

Technically, they only lose the Electoral College votes of either the Presidency or the Vice-Presidency.

I imagine California's Electors would reluctantly go LaVar Ball/Mike Pence.

They wouldn't vote for Pence, they'd probably go for some other Democrat (or several). The DC ones too since LaMelo will be 19 in 2020. I included him as VP only because LaVar would no doubt pick one of his sons.
Which, mind you is also illegal, because it violates a law about appointing relatives to government positions.
