However, the news isn't as good as the headline number. Tisei leads Tierney by 37%-31%, which is an absurd number of undecideds at this point in the election. The R base in this district is easily 37%. It seems many people don't have an opinion about either candidate, and Tisei needs large numbers of Dems who are coming out to vote for Obama to vote against Tierney. Tierney does not seem to be reaching Torricelli levels of unelectability, which is fitting, because his problems are Mickey Mouse.

I'm not whistling past the graveyard - Tisei is competitive and could still win. However, this poll is unsatisfying.

These candidates have confusingly similar names - I wonder if this could have had a non-negligible effect on the number of apparent undecided.
