The United States isn't on the verge of a double-dip recession, FWIW. Growth is slowing, alarmingly so, but that's not the same thing. The leading indicators generally haven't supported that call, although the jobs report was obviously terrible.

It's worth noting that (IIRC) even if a recession does being in the next month or so it'll still be too late for the ECRI to have been right, so... Tongue

He's the favourite, certainly, and I'd put money on him winning (even with those unfortunate jobs numbers), but Romney will probably win if Obama eats a baby on live television or something.

Oh, I agree, certainly, I meant specifically the most recent numbers. Of course they're going to have to improve in general.
