I'm not sure if this is in order.  We still have no Speaker, and the SOAP says nothing about who the Acting Speaker would be.  It would be the Acting Speaker's job to open hearings, which would last for 72 hours (three days).  I note that this can be shortened to a minimum of 36 hours (one day and twelve hours).

I was also under the impression that LLR was the speaker?

If anything I'd appoint him to be acting speaker, effective immediately.

Long Live Rock is no longer in the assembly. Soon, Clyde won't be either.

Is this supposed to be an insult?

Also, what Enduro said.

Are you guys going to vote? I don't mean to be annoying, but I believe that Kingpoleon motioned for a vote, and I'm pretty sure that the time allocated for vote has passed.

Now, we have a two person assembly. Stop being inactive, and get the special election going to replace those seats.

I'll take it, those special elections need to happen before we can move forward though.

Alright we have two routes right now. One: Approve Gass's nomination so he can open a voting booth or Two: I open the voting booth for a special election (in 24 hours so those who want to be on the ballot can actually be on the ballot).

Y'all tell me what you think is best right now.

Although I'm not an assembly person, I'd wait 24 hours for Gass, and if he doesn't swear in open the voting booth.

Yeah, what's up with this? When will the special election be held? Just do it already.

Not good!

Right now, it looks like we'll have a vacancy until someone runs for the special election.  The Assembly can work just fine with four people.  Please get your collective sht together.

I think it'd be better to put up a leave of absence. Then, I think, the governor can open it. I'm not 100% sure though.

Per the Constitution, the Speaker of the Assembly opens the voting booth in the absence of the Lt. Governor... but there is no Speaker. In the absence of the Speaker, the powers of that office devolve upon the Acting Speaker, who is... the Lt. Governor. At this point, I think it's best if Flo just opens the booth himself - this has gone on far too long.

I agree, let's get on with it.
