Sanders is late to the conversation.
If Newman wins, I think Gillibrand deserves far more credit/blame (take your pick), for at least getting in early and putting her cards on the table.

To be fair, Justice Democrats endorsed around the time Gillibrand did.

Yeah, I think Gillibrand's endorsement legitimized Newman as a candidate.

At this point I don't really care who wins the primary.

Also a surprise that Sanders endorsed Newman. I'd thought he'd've stayed out of the race.

Yup. She endorsed before Gutierrez and Schakowsky did, too.

Waste of money on a safe seat but Pelosi doesn’t run the DCCC.

Nice to see the DCCC isn't going in lockstep behind the forces that want King Dan.

It's news to me that Pelosi runs the DCCC.....

And I'm fine with this, DCCC is incumbent protection too, and is funded... by the fundraising of those incumbents. This is what they have to do, it's policy to back incumbents, not to mention them not wanting to piss of the Blue Dogs.

With it being this close, I wouldn't put it past Lipinski to pull a Lieberman and run third party should he lose the primary.

I think IL ballot law prevents that.

If Lipinski loses, and the GOP somehow drops Jones, could they nominate him instead?

Leave it to the dee-trip to support the single worst candidate running as a Democrat this cycle.
