Just an idea, folks as the main board seems to be flooded with nothing but the stuff.

But if that were to occur, what would become of the main board?

Cheers,

I was under the impression that this was the de facto board specifically for timelines, and that other what-if discussions were relegated to the sub-boards.

Looking in Dave's initial guidelines for the board specifically, it references no mention for the purposes of the main board as such. Hmmm....perhaps, I'm still trying (as are some others) to reclaim some dignity to this board, therefore incredibly anal.

What do you mean by that statement? And I ask because I truthfully don't know - I'm relatively new to the board.

First of all, welcome to the forums - although, I'm sure I'm not the first who has welcomed you Smiley

Essentially, the overall discussion, analysis and the issue that bugs me the most is the practice of writing timelines has gone downhill markedly - particularly over the last 18 months. It's what happens when a vast majority of quality posters, who added vibrance to these boards a few years back, have all but thrown it to the 'dustbin of history'.

Timelines are what-if discussions (for example, the 1896 timeline deals with the question "What if Bryan defeated McKinley?") I don't see any reason for a seperate board.

Possibly, we may have a new sub-board, but I have to agree with Vazdul--the timelines are supposed to be in the main board, and everything else in the sub-boards.

No, timelines are what-if discussion (for example, the 1896 timeline deals with the question "What if Bryan defeated McKinley?")

In fact, I have to agree with Vazdul.

Ah, in that case, you have proven me wrong. Let's call the whole thing off.
