Does this include Proud Boys/3 Percenters/Oath Keepers/Whatever-the-domestic-Nazis-are-calling-themselves-these-days marches?

I ask b/c it honestly wouldn't surprise me if NC Republicans wrote in an exception to the law for their most loyal voters - cowards who wear masks and carry tiki torches while chanting "Jews will not replace us."

Or did they just stop at virtue signaling against efforts to stop the spread of infectious diseases?

Quote
Three Senate Democrats proposed amendments to keep the health exemption and exclude hate groups from masking, but Senate Republicans used a procedural mechanism to block them without going up for a vote.

It doesn't explicitly make an exception, but I find it troublesome that the Republicans moved to block the vote on those amendments.

Troublesome, or on point?

Or just human decency, something lfromnj apparently lacks.

You become effectively whatever you deem evil by such attitude.

It's pretty much clear that most Atlas users would be awful diplomats or not users i would trust holding an important function or job like ever.

One of the fun things about being a civilian is you do not have to act like you are part of the state department. This is why when henry kissinger died, you can make various insinuations about his firey new accomodation rather than giving some po-faced statement about how he loved his family and the united states.

This isn't the innocent dead of gaza, it is a bloodstained dictatorial butcher who is directly responsible for the death of your ideological milieu.

You may think this is a good or "fun" thing, but you and the other posters here reveal your true colors. You may fancy yourselves virtuous defenders of good in the world, but instead you're amoral hacks devoid of principles except to blindly follow Western geopolitical interests. This thread is a disgusting display of cheering and wishing for the death of a world leader who dared to defy your will and oppose your interests. Never mind that it is a flagrant violation of the TOS; if I said similar things about Zelensky or Biden I would be banned quickly. Of course  the forum authorities agree with you and will turn a blind eye towards your vile posts.

If you need time away from the forum to grieve, then by all means,…

Judge Reopens Sentencing Hearing for Man Who Attacked Pelosi’s Husband
The court said it made a mistake by not asking David DePape if he had anything to say at his sentencing hearing. The parties will be back in court on May 28.

Quote
A judge reopened on Saturday a sentencing hearing for the intruder who bludgeoned Nancy Pelosi’s husband two years ago, admitting that the court had not given the defendant a chance to make a statement.

David DePape was sentenced on Friday to 30 years in federal prison for breaking into the San Francisco home of Ms. Pelosi, who was speaker of the House at the time, and attacking her husband, Paul Pelosi, with a hammer. But it was a mistake to not ask Mr. DePape beforehand if he had anything to say, Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley acknowledged in a court order, setting a May 28 date to reopen the hearing to allow Mr. DePape to make a statement.

During Friday’s hearing, Judge Corley wrote, “no party brought to the court’s attention” that it had not allowed Mr. DePape to speak, a requirement of federal criminal procedures. “As the court did not do so, it committed clear error,” she wrote.

The error is unlikely to alter the sentence, but Mr. DePape will now have the opportunity to make a case for a more lenient one. The error was noticed by prosecutors on Friday afternoon, shortly after the sentence was read...

Just a procedural matter to ensure the sentence isn't reversed on appeal, as the right to allocution is fundamental and could easily get an easy layup in this case tossed back. Anyone want to bet whether the sentence will change one iota after this guy is given a chance to address the court?

Nope. But I do feel that allowing a lawful, fair referendum would have been a better exit than the mess of the last decade. And in that sense, blocking any possibility of such ended up being counterproductive if you compare to Québec or Scotland.

Good idea. Hope they post this weekly
As you can see Biden led the Average Polling by 5.9 four years ago. No wonder he was competitive in all the Swing States and made Texas very close.

If Trump is tied with Biden heading into E-Day I think he wins.

This still assumes that Biden doesn't get many of the voters who disapprove of him to vote for him, even begrudgingly.

It also jumps to the conclusion that polls are either completely accurate right now or underestimating Trump's support again.

All of those things could be true, for sure. I just think we're too polarized to see that kind of Trump-friendly result, even uf he is the victor.

Somewhere between too early and too close.

I've kind of finally been beaten down enough where I am getting concerned...at least somewhat. In five months a lot already happened, and a lot more is still coming around the corner where Biden still shouldn't be written off, and Trump shouldn't be considered a shoo-in.

I will maintain that Trump does not win the popular vote or win in anywhere near a landslide. He only wins due to third parties or an enthusiasm gap-much like 2016. Hell, I don't even think he wins the rust belt trio-if at all-by more than a point from his 2016 margins.
Do you think Biden will continue to slowly recover like what has been seen of the last two or so months?

I think he will win enough support to win the popular vote for sure. How the electoral college pans out is going to be determined by how much he wins by.

I personally think he will win it by about three points, as of today, but I'm very iffy on which battleground states go to him with that margin, if any.
That should be enough to get him 2020-one or two states
