I don't think anyone should get points except those who predicted Santorum. That's my objective view.

Same here. And I predicted Romney... Tongue

I hate to say it, but New Hampshire makes Iowa look amateurish. Next time, the NH primary should be first with IA second.

We'll never know the real winner, but Santorum will be beaming tonight...ugh.

Good. At this point, I would rather see Santorum stealing some votes from Gingrich compared to the other way around.

It's funny that NHI and Politico are so butthurt after their candidate looses a single caucus by a hair to someone who won't get the nomination anyways.  Grin

Well, let's face it: Iowa is a farce. It's easy to figure out who they are going to pick: The most openly religious of the bunch.

Than why is it such a problem?  Wink

I actually salute their amateur hour this time. It gave Romney some good momentum, and the correction of their error(s) will now give Santorum a minor boost just when we needed him to steal a few votes from Gingrich. And apparently Phil is down in Charleston, so hopefully some of that Phil magic can help give Santorum a strong showing against Gingrich.

Santorum looks like to become the first candidate of the post-McGovern/Fraser reform era to win Iowa but lose every other state.  (Other than Iowa favorite son Tom Harkin in 1992.)

It has to do with the primary predictions we make:

https://uselectionatlas.org/PRED/PRESIDENT/2012R/pred.php?action=indpred&id=1150

For every contest (out of the 52), you'll get 1 point for the winner and 1 point for the percentage or confidence of the win (tossup, lean, strong).

If someone picked Romney in Iowa (like I did by accident), Dave should make it so that both those who picked Romney and Santorum should get the points, because the vote count in Iowa was apparently flawed.

Great news! Better to be known for that than for you-know-what.

This means I have 4/4 points now. Hopefully it will be 6/6 tomorrow... Smiley
