Is the Vermont GOP seriously about to nominate the same person for literally every statewide office besides Governor? LOL. How is that even possible?

Apparently yes, though SEN R remains too close to call.

Still being cautious on Johnson-Pawlenty just because of the huge upset it would be.

MN Gov Rating tilt D--->likely D

LMAO T Paw!!!!

omg how did this happen?!

I also think Walz carries his congressional district again in the gov race.

It happened because nobody had any appetite for Pawlenty's attempt at a political comeback.

(With the disclaimer that I have not officially called the race)

As I said on here and on discord several times, Pawlenty's Governorship was very meh to most Minnesotans - no one loves him, and no one hates him. He was the favorite heading into the primary because MUH INCUMBENCY, but ultimately the enthusiasm for him just wasn't there.

Does Walz carry his congressional district in the governor's race, what is yall's guess? Mine is yes.

Yes, though I'm still skeptical Dems will hold the district on the house level.

No, Milwaukee isn't even on the map yet since it's still counting. The counties surrounding Milwaukee are always Republican.

It's time to update the Amazing Senate Primary Turnout Map! In Minnesota, Dems received 67% of the vote in the Regular Senate Primary and 66% of the vote in the Special Senate Primary! Dems should have no trouble retaining both seats. In Wisconsin, where we'll use the gubernatorial numbers since Baldwin did not appear on the ballot, Democrats received 55% of the vote, which should give them some comfort. In Connecticut, where again gubernatorial numbers will be used since Murphy did not appear on the ballot, Democrats received 58% of the vote, confirming that Murphy should have no trouble getting re-elected. Meanwhile, Democrats dominated in Vermont, with a very nice 73% of the primary vote!

Quick Update on the still uncalled race for second place in WA-2:

Congressional District 2 - U.S. RepresentativeCounty Results & Map
Candidate   Vote   Vote %
Collin Richard Carlson(Prefers Democratic Party)
11,985   7.71%
Uncle Mover(Prefers Moderate GOP Party)
11,750   7.56%
Brian Luke(Prefers Libertarian Party)
12,238   7.87%
Stonewall Jackson Bird (Stoney)(Prefers Green Party)
6,479   4.17%
Rick Larsen(Prefers Democratic Party)
100,863   64.87%
will finish first
Gary Franco(Prefers Independent Party)
12,172   7.83%
Total Votes (not including write-ins)   155,487

At this point, I can officially project that Stonewall Jackson Bird, Uncle Mover, and Collin Richard Carlson will not advance to the next round. However, it remains too close to call between Gary Franco and Brian Luke. Approximately 906 votes remain in the counties in the district (though not all votes are in CD 2), and the bulk of those are in a county where Mr. Franco (who is in 3rd districtwide) leads Mr. Luke (who is in 2nd districtwide). With a difference of less than 100 votes districtwide, it remains much too close to call, and may remain such until the counting deadline on the 21st.

With only 106 remaining votes in the counties in the district (props to Skagit County for counting 800 votes over the last 24 hours), we have a winner for 2nd place in WA-2:

Congressional District 2 - U.S. RepresentativeCounty Results & Map
Candidate   Vote   Vote %
Collin Richard Carlson(Prefers Democratic Party)
12,034   7.71%
Uncle Mover(Prefers Moderate GOP Party)
11,808   7.56%
Brian Luke(Prefers Libertarian Party)
12,301   7.88%
will finish second
Stonewall Jackson Bird (Stoney)(Prefers Green Party)
6,505   4.17%
Rick Larsen(Prefers Democratic Party)
101,290   64.86%
will finish first
Gary Franco(Prefers Independent Party)
12,235   7.83%
Total Votes (not including write-ins)   156,173

This concludes the Washington primaries.
