I have buffed the 2000 Scenario, though it is still not quite finished, as I have yet to add in the Consitution and Libertarian Parties. Here are the current canidates:

I only aks two things. One, I have never uploaded a download before, though I woul prefer if I could just paste the file here. Second, just post the results of your game here, and tell me what the set was, any flaws you think might have occured, etc.

The only House Rules are that "smoke-fillded room" canidates cannot be run in the primaries (since they do not have percentages), and you cannot run multiples of the same person. Everything else is fair game.

By the way, those characters that are in bold are not yet in the released version.

Okay, I was going to post a download point here from Rapidshare, but whenever I try to browse to upload the file, I can't find it. I searched my entire machine, and it is not there. The only times it actually exists is when I actually play the game and look under scenarios, and when I load Campaigns Forever and look at those I can edit. Any of you have an idea where it might be?

(On a side note, all of my custom scenarios I have discovered are like that.)

Okay, great idea, btw. One mistake though, is that under the Reform Party primaries, some of the primaries don't occur until 2007.

I forgot about those. Normally the Reform Party does not have access to all the states, but because I added canidates like Donald Trump and Ross Perot, it seemed realistic to out them on those ballots. I'll move them up, or may instead create a primaries system on my own.

Okay, I've set up a primaries system for the Reform Party, which involves primaries (except Iowa) running in blocs rather than individually. I'll let you find out the rest once the next version is released.

New events have also been created for the "smoke-filled room" canidates, based on their conditions (For Eastwood, "Do You Feel Lucky........Punk.....") Also, I have decided to give some of the "smoke-filled room" canidates, who could have actually run, percentages in the primaries, and eventually will move them into their proper columns.

Also, I may make Jesse Ventura available as a smoke and mirrors canidate instead of Bill Gates.

Wait, what is a smoke-filled candidate?

Those are canidates who had NO interest in running for that partiy's respective nomination, and then recieve the nomination because of a deadlock at the convention. For example Colin Powell, who to many would have been a shoe-in for the Presidency on the Republican side, but he never wanted the office.

Alright, I have set up an interesting set of Reform Party Primaries. Also, since this can no longer really conform with a "historical view", I might be forced to regulate the main percentages to a level that makes them more competitive. However, this also presents the problem of regulating the amount of money the main canidates use in the regular primaries (since support for the party is still small), so I might make the party count on fundraising (using revolutionary new methods such as the internet) rather than the block grant.

The primaries go in regional blocs (except Iowa), all primaries. However, Florida remains a proportional vote caucus state, where two-thirds of the delegates are located, with the exact positions of the Reform Party. This fight closes the day before the convention begins. I did this largely because the number of Reform Party canidates had dropped since then, and it is likely political leaders in the reform party would have the deciding vote. This also represents what would have likely been a brokered convention.

Also, while I normally would have released a new version by now, I am having trouble getting the game to work in a way that I can edit it. I may do an expanded 2004 scenario as well, allowing the possibility of W not running for re-election, or many other wacked possibilities.

However, I do ask that if any of you "finish" a game on this scenario, to please post it here on this thread. It will allow me to do at least a basic analysis and judge the difficulty of certain canidates.

Also, are there any major Democratic-Republican canidates (not under the primaries playable section) that I might have forgotten to add? (I forgot Daschle for a while)

Alright, thanks. I've been trying to weaken the third parties, but it seems to be a problem with the game.

I'm still really interested in this scenario if anyone happens to have a link to it or something, I could buff it up if needed. 2000 is one of the more interesting elections that doesn't have a PF scenario available.

I want this, and I am glad it has been bumped. Anyone have it still?

Well isn't this a blast to the past; never was completed, but I was proud of what was there all the same.

Unfortunately I don't have the files any longer, long since having been removed either during a rebuild or God knows what I had been doing. Didn't particularly pay it any mind until just now. Regardless, if I was to do this again, it would have to wait until 2012 releases a more accessible editor, given the options presented in that version would manage to eliminate many of the problems that were present in the 2008 version.

When it does come around I'll look at another release, promise. :)
