Speaking at a luncheon organized by The Associated Press, Mr. Paterson said that when he ran for lieutenant governor in 2006 on a ticket with Eliot Spitzer, he had hoped that then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton would later become president and Mr. Spitzer would appoint him to her seat. When Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State. Why didn't Patterson appoint a caretaker to Hillary's US Senate Seat- perhaps H Carl McCall. run for the US Senate in 2010 Special Election or appoint himself to the seat. in 2010 let Andrew Cuomo became the 2010 Democratic Nominee for governor. |
