In 1932 Hoover is nominated by his party and is reelected because the Economy was close to crashing but it didn't due to Hoovers massive economic reforms.

Not only does the scenario you pose make little sense...

The map makes even less sense. I'm sorry.

The map doesn't make sense, but Hoover could narrowly win reelection if he vetoed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff.

There are a zillion nitpicks I have with the map, but two of the biggest:

How'd Roosevelt win VT...?

Not only do the Dakota's vote differently, but 60% so!

It definitely would have been a tough fight.  If he continued to oppose the Republican consensus (as the first post indicates), I don't think they would have given him the nod.

Hoover makes a surprising move in his Inaugural address he states America shall support the Jewish people.

He also announces FDR to be Secretary of the Navy to show appeal among Democrats and Republican FDR supporters. Then Germany is invaded by the polish because of falling relations, which is overthrown in 1934. Hoover announces he will aid any allies who are in need of aid. Then Poland invaded Iraq and immediatly took it over. President Hoover declares neutral in possible European War.

In 1935 Japan invades Poland and bombs there main Naval base. FDR announces he will seek the Democratic Nomination for US President. Hoover doesn't run. Henry Beckindridge announces run so does Harry Truman. Alf Landon for Republicans.

In 1936 Harry Truman is nominated on the 100th ballot with FDR as V.P. Alf Landon is nominated and Robert Taft for V.P. Then Alf Landon wins in a massive landslide.

It's mathmatically impossible for the REpublican to win 268 EVs while the Democrat to win 265 EVs, since there were only 531 EVs back then and 268+265=533. I calculated the values on your map and it should be:

Republican: 268
Democrat: 263

Not only is this completely factually inaccurate, it's just plain unrealistic...What's happening in the US?  The Dust Bowl?  The Great Depression?  Also, how the hell does Poland invade Iraq?  Just what is this I don't even

In early 1945 Calvin Coolidge is sworn in for a full term. When August comes he learns that Former-President Hoover will run for US Senate. In October President Coolidge travels across the country.

In 1946 Robert Taft is appointed to be Secretary of State after his predecessor dies. The Senate immediatly confirms him. foreign relations are great. But Iraq overthrows Poland in early December that year. The President is in a crisis.

In 1947 the President says he will not take action unless a war starts. His approvals then skyrocket. President Coolidge announces he will not run for reelection. Thomas Dewey, FDR, Harry Truman, Wendel Wilkie.

1948 The President endorses Dewey for President but President Coolidge's approval is way down.

In 1949 Thurmond is sworn in as President, he immediatly passes legislation that gives the states to much control. Congress begins impeachment process on abuse of power. 7 hearings are held before the house votes 275-132 for impeachment,3 weeks later the Senate votes 60-34 in impeachment. Fielding Wright is sworn in as President.

In 1950 foreign policy has never been better, Robert Taft who was still Secretary of State made 20 foreign trips throughout the year, without even missing the bus! But the economy took a downfall many people lost jobs and homes. President Wright immediately responded to the situation.

In 1951 the economy improved but barely. President Wright addressed the nation on his economic plan. 7 months later FDR died in his sleep. Harry Truman, JFK, Adlai Stevenson all announced hey will run for President on the Democratic side. Thomas Dewey, Alf Landon and Robert Taft all announce they will run.

In 1952 JFK and Harry Truman were nominated for President and VP respectivley. Robert Ttaft and Thomas Dewey for Republicans

How does Thurmond "pass legislation" without Congress?  And if Congress is passing the legislation, why are they impeaching Thurmond for signing the legislation that they themselves passed?

Also, my memory is a bit rusty on this, but don't you need a 2/3rds vote in the Senate to remove the prez from office?  I don't think a simple majority does it.

Also, whatever happened to the crisis in Poland-occupied Iraq?  ;)

I like how it's phrased like he's shot **while in the middle of a meeting with the Polaqi prime minister**.  Like they're just sitting in a room somewhere, discussing policy, and someone pulls out a gun and shoots Kennedy in the head 5 times.

5 times in the head.  Wow.

I guess that begs the question, if he died instantly, what were the other 4 shots for?

In 1953 John Kennedy and Harry Truman are sworn in, President Kennedy visits the Polo-Iraqi federation when Kennedy is meeting with Prime Minister Bolesław Bierut he is shot 5 in the head causing instant death. Harry Truman is sworn in.

That must be Kurdish-German separatists!

Just to make sure!

And please tell us, who did it!

Brazil invades Argentina in 1957 and it becomes Brazatina with Getulio Peron-Vargas as President (Vargas marries Peron's daughter) and Juan Peron-Vargas (Peron marries Vargas' sister) as VP. Joao "Pokemon" Goulart is Secretary of State, and he has an affair with Robert Taft.

Damn, I thought I'd seen the most unlikely country ever here already:

You can't see its northern territories, but that's Finno-Serbyzstan (a Muslim Serbian/Byzantine union).  Sadly, shortly after that image was taken, they lost Finland.  :(

This thing is pretty funny.  I personally like the career of Robert Taft.  Before being elected Vice President in 1936, the only office he held was one term in the Ohio state senate where he lost reelection.  In reality not in the Senate until 1938.  So here it is:

1936-1939: Vice President
1939-1942: President (wins in 1940) and then resigns due to illness.
1946-1949: recovers and serves as Secretary of State
1952: Again runs for president but loses
1953: doesn't die
1956: agains runs for president and wins

In 1957 Robert Taft is sworn in. He immediately gets word the Soviets have split into 6 factions with there own Government. The President goes to Buryowski where he holds meetings with the Government in that region.

In 1958 Ronald Reagan is elected Governor of California and is widely seen as a possible candidate for President in 1960. Taft returns home only to have a massive heart attack days later he passes on, Richard Nixon sworn in as President. Economy increases greatly.

In 1959 Ronald Reagan announces bid for Presidency as does Richard Nixon, Nelson Rockefeller, LBJ, Hubert Humphrey,  Barry Goldwater, Henry Cabot Lodge. Richard Nixon travels to 7 countries this year and reunites the Vietnamese.

In 1960 Ronald Reagan nominated for President and Rockefeller for VP. LBJ and Herbert Humphrey.

Election 1960:
(
)

Democrat: 265
Republican: 260
Independent: 12

In the house Reagan elected President, in the Senate Rockefeller elected VP.

Soviet Civil War or peaceful break-up?  Will Polo-Iraq take advantage of the situation to try to steal the Baltics?

I would like to see the following countries enter into a federation:

Colombia and Monaco join together to form "Coco".
Isle of Man and Thailand join together to form "Island".
Western Sahara and Oman join together to form "Woman".
Poland and Sri Lanka join together to form "Polka".
Spain and the West Bank join together to form "Spank".
American Samoa and Indonesia join together to form "Amnesia".

Then you could have some of these federations join together into some sort of larger international organizations to form sentences.  For example, Polka and Woman could form an alliance with Togo to form "Polka Woman To go".

President Landon is shot dead by Conservative Democrats wanting America to stay neutral.

In 1942 however President Taft went to Europe to decrease war chances. During the trip he becomes very ill and comes home. He resigns the Presidency, Calvin Coolidge is sworn in as the nations 34th President.

In 1953 John Kennedy and Harry Truman are sworn in, President Kennedy visits the Polo-Iraqi federation when Kennedy is meeting with Prime Minister Bolesław Bierut he is shot 5 in the head causing instant death. Harry Truman is sworn in.

Taft returns home only to have a massive heart attack days later he passes on, Richard Nixon sworn in as President.

On November 22nd 1963 President Reagan is shot and killed in Dallas.

Is anyone ever going to finish a full term as president?

Nah, clones aren't that great.  I think this timeline needs either a shapeshifter or time travel.

1974: June 8th, 1974 was a day that would live in infamy. It was the day of the "Great Bomb" Polaqi had been secretly developing a weapon they considered 500 times more powerful than the nuclear weapon, it was so bad they could only test it in simulations. That day Polaqi Pope Muhammad Ali says "It is time to destroy America,"

And so he did, the bomb had to be supported by several fighter jets. It took a grueling 7 hours for the planes to reach their destination, New York City.

The explosions could have been seen from California--if it even existed. The Thing shook the earth and caused over 10 million to die and nearly 100,000,000 to get injured. Suddenly the earth began to crack and it exploded everywhere.

The end...or is it?

I do NOT see that happening, if I recall, Hoover is one of the most hated POTUS ever.

THAT'S your contention with this?

And that young boy, yougo1000 who started out writing timelines on an obscure map fetish website, grew up to be .....QAnon.  And now,  you know.... the rest of the story.

Paul Harvey (died 2009.  Reanimated by the Polaqi empire 2013)

Emperor Trump had done a decent job in his role. He had gotten what remained of America into a stable spot and had managed to not piss off Polaqi.

Until he did.

After he finished his weekly speech someone forgot to turn off his mic and he was overheard saying he wishes he could bomb Polaqi and take them all out.

Pope Ali was not a fan of this statement and decided to pay Trump a surprise visit.

The meeting did not end well for Trump as he was slain during the meeting.

"Don't **** with Polaqi" Pope Ali said as he left.

It's been 10 years, I'd assume OP is like late teens early 20's at this point, so I hope OP is doing this ironically

Not only was the tenth anniversary two weeks ago, Yougo did an update that went mostly unnoticed.

Man I randomly remembered this while watching the election results. I think this story has ran its course as I will never be able to top the sheer ingenuinity of my 10-year self. I would like to thank everyone that read this and sorta made this a meme throughout the forums over the years. Although I don't have the interest in politics/history that I used to and I have changed significantly since I was a little 10-year old with little friends, this is something that I will always remember fondly.

Polaqi forever!!

THIS. IS. LEGENDARY.

I have just read this for the first time. That's the magic of joining an online political forum when you are 10 years old I guess. I have always been fond of fictional cities, timelines, and similar as well. But all my "works" from when I was a child or early teen are now lost. Instead the Polaqi timeline will live on for as long as this community exists. Kudos.

Thank you, yougo1000.
