Everyone registered in the Southeastern Region respond:

Do you support Governor Ernest's action of nullification?

Absolutely not.  Not only do I believe this violates our constitution and government, the bill he is trying to nullify is one I support and voted in favor of, and it is absolutely necessary that we maintain it.

Senator Harry,
If you wish the death penalty to no longer be used in the Southeastern Region, I remind you that we do have an initiative process to bring issues before our fine citizens.  Depending upon the wording, I might even place it on the next ballot myself, as is the perogotive of the Governor, without the need for you to find two other signatures beyond your own.

I don't believe the Governor ever stated that the south would leave. He just wants the death penalty to be overturned in the region.

I don't think Ernest nor any other official in office in the Southeast is even contemplating sucession. That would be suicide and it would lead to a dissolution of the nation.

This is not only a southern opposition to this law. StevenNick from Washington in the Western Region was in opposition to this act as were many Republicans and UACers. Only because their was such an overwhelming majority of Democrats and other Leftists in the Senate was this act passed.

Yes I know, but This is nothing we can do. The New Senate needs to handly  this issue.

But the issue here is not necessarily do we support the death penalty, it's do we think that Ernest can just nullify it.

If he wants to nullify it, then hold a vote asking people in the south if they want to.

Well that is up to the Supreme Court to decide not a Senator and not a man from North Carolina. Once the Supreme Court rules on this case it is final.

I entirely support this act of nullification.  The death penalty is matter that must be decided by the governments of the states individually (in our case regionally).

I'll just give my opinion on this here.

I do not like the bill that was passed in the Senate I feel that it is deeply unfair and disrespectful to the regions. I believe we should return the death penalty with reforms that would allow those on death row to have their attorny ask for a D.N.A. test to confirm innosense or guilt.

Now will I try to get the Pacific to leave the nation if I don't get my way? Of course not... I am an Atlasian first a Pacifican second.

What Ernest is saying is that if the Senate desided to outlaw all Federal executions that is entirely within the power and the responsibility but since they outlawed all Executions in all the regions without the approval of the Regions then it is Unconstitutional since the Senate was infringing on the rights of the regions as enumerated in Article 5, I think it is, and the Civil Rights Amendment.
