Edwards will have had 8 years as veep and Obama will have had 8 years in the Senate. If all the other parts happen, that won't be the problem.

Thats if everything goes the right way for the Dems. Who knows Obama maybe kicked out of office in 4 years and Edwards wont win the Vice Presidency.

Edwards will only be President if Kerry wins and then dies.

In 2008, if Kerry wins in '04, he will be run out of office.

Meaning Obama could try in 2012, but frankly he's wildly overrated and once he has a Senate voting record he will be vulnerable in moderate to conservative states.
