Likely :P Sounds like he may have been banned from the forum - if true - would that not make him ineligible to be on the ballot?

I think so. I'll raise this issue at the convention.

No, looking at this account, he looks to be active and thus not banned.

But he's essentially not running.  Anybody who votes for him is voting for a candidate who isn't even allowed to assume the position.

Would his VP not then get the votes?

That's not relevant to his Senate campaign.

Title: Re: yougo1000 for senate

He's eligible to run for both.

However, he is a 10-year-old kid who is legally forbidden from being on this website, and when his parents found out he was on here, they grounded him.

It was in a different thread.  But his exact age is irrelevant.  The point is that he isn't supposed to be hear, and it's better that he's gone.

That's just the thing. Yougo could easily be someone who just likes to mess with people. I'm not saying he's a sock of another poster (I think I remember someone saying he had a valid IP), but, he could simply be an act.

From a legal standpoint, if a poster posts that his age is 10, and he acts like he is 10, he should be banned, in my opinion.

There actually is an age limit of 13 here?  Is this United States law, or just Atlas Forum policy?

Didn't Bill Clinton sign COPPA or something that restricted internet participation of those under 13?

U.S. law - COPPA, which Barnes and Libertas sited.  I wouldn't really care if it was just a forum policy, but it's an actual legal issue.

Yes, and better for it, I say. Not only from an irritant standpoint, but also that these kids can get into a lot of trouble unsupervised.
