Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: Small Business Owner of Any Repute on August 04, 2010, 09:50:50 AM "... Basil Marceaux -- who apparently had been recently injured in a tragic sausage-making incident -- discussed his revolutionary position on forced 2nd Amendment rights.
... Marceaux later illuminated his stance on capital punishment, saying that if troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan were to murder someone, "he'd have no choice" but to kill her." Well, he's on to something. If I were voting in a Tennessee GOP primary, this man would certainly have my vote. ;) Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: Lunar on August 07, 2010, 02:26:32 AM If I were voting in a Tennessee GOP primary, this man would certainly have my vote. ;) I think if I could vote in every GOP primary nationally, that joke candidates would receive the majority of my votes Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: Mr. Morden on August 07, 2010, 05:48:39 AM He says he's open to a run for president:

I have a guy in West Virginia that wants to give me all his property so I can run for Virginia in West Virginia because up there all you have to do is own property to vote… There’s a website out there that says Marceaux and Palin in 2012… It takes a lot of signatures to become a candidate for President. If I get enough support from everyone out there to get me signatures, I’ll give it a shot because I don’t think anyone else is going to have guts to fix the country the way I want to fix it, where we all say a pledge to the republic and we actually mean it and we fly the real Betsy Ross flag.” Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: King on August 08, 2010, 01:10:28 AM I think if I could vote in every GOP primary nationally, that joke candidates would receive the majority of my votes Why support the frontrunners? Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: Mr. Morden on August 09, 2010, 12:23:39 AM I've actually changed planes in Memphis before. I don't remember what airline stops there though. I wonder if Memphis is big enough to qualify in pbrower's eyes.
Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: Lunar on August 09, 2010, 12:28:49 AM Might be close enough for the V.P. slot? Might not be enough to win the primary election outright, but I'm sure Memphis has good connections to South Carolina

As we all know, a major part of the air hub quandry is the difficulty in shipping in your own sound system: The candidate can use private aircraft all that he wants, as can staff. But delivering and setting up sound systems is prohibitively expensive by private plane. If you could ship it directly from Memphis, you'd be set. Basil Marceaux will have the awesomest personal sound system of any candidate! Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: doktorb on August 11, 2010, 09:25:32 AM Here's hoping Basil keeps running for something in 2011 and 2010 - there's an audience out there on YouTube which far outnumbers his votes in the primary....
Title: Re: Basil Marceaux Post by: King on August 11, 2010, 01:22:40 PM Nashville is a hub for Southwest (unofficially, as they don't use a true hub system but I've connected there before), if they count.
