The Democrat needs to drop out and throw her support behind Cutler.

...okay, if Cutler actually wins this, I will eat a hat big enough to compensate for the entire election cycle.

I did not think this was possible.

EDIT: And I've found the cause - Cutler got the endorsement he needed the most. Angus King has endorsed him.

Mitchell is quickly becoming the third party candidate here just as Maes did in Colorado.

Let's hope Maine Democrats figure it out before Tuesday.

Cutler looks like a boring Moderate Hero from his site. But I'd take that over an absolutely insane fascist.

Cutler has also racked up a boatload of newspaper endorsements recently which could explain his sudden late rise.

That's not even the word for it. From what I heard, he won all but one of Maine's major papers in one fell swoop.

He better be blasting the airwaves with Angus King 24/7 if he wants to win. Still, Maine is weird, he could pull it out.
