The politician who receives the biggest total of votes will be eliminated.
In case of a tie, the politician who will have received the biggest total of votes in previous rounds will be eliminated.
In case of a new tie, the politician with the shortest total of years in office will be eliminated.
In case of a new tie, I'll decide which one is eliminated.

I know you said you wouldn't drop him, but just for the record, Truman never actually joined the KKK (he asked for the $10 fee back soon after paying it and was never initiated).  Also, the person who made this claim was an enemy of Truman's, so make of that what you will.

Some people you forgot: possibly Edward Douglas White, David Duke (seems like an obvious one :P ), and Thomas Watson

I was joking about Truman.
I'm ready to drop him, but shouldn't Watson be let aside too, as he wasn't formally a member (or was he ?) ?

Duke was only a LA Representative, not a US one.
Douglass White was Chief Justice, not Congressman or Gov.
That's why I didn't include these 2.

But if there is a general demand, I can enlarge the list.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Watson was a formal member (I could be wrong, but I think he was)

OK, I let this "open" for suggestions for one day.

And let me know if any of you disagree with
Truman out of list (that could have been fun ;))
and Watson in the list.

Nhoj's, homely's and Julio's votes will be counted, unless the appearance of Thomas Watson on the list changes their votes: just tell me guys.

So, for the moment, the tally is:
Morley 2
Gordon 1

And I cast my own vote for

Clarence Morley

James Eli Watson.

Douglass White was Chief Justice, not Congressman or Gov.

You definitively need to include him. He was U.S. Senator from Louisiana.

OK, back on track after this chaotic first round.

And I'm myself trapped: should I vote for those I dislike (and who may be bad ones) or for those who are the "best" evil ?

That's why Truman would have been funny: should he have won as he wasn't on the same level as the others or should he have been ousted first ? :P

OK, let's vote in line with the first round:

Clifford Walker

And to answer Fab's question, I guess you could make an argument for Gordon or Bilbo being the worst, but I would argue that Watson's influence during the Leo Frank incident made Frank's lynching inevitable and that Watson was the only one on the list whom one could argue directly participated in murder (there have been unverified claims that he was actually part of the lynch mob).  However, Gordon was instrumental in the klan's formation and Bilbo was more "entertaining."  Watson (whether he was at the lynch mob or not) was knowingly instrumental in causing a murder, and I'd argue that makes him the worst (but, again, a case can easily be made for Gordon or Bilbo).
