I know it wouldn't have made a difference against Snowe but they should have tested Michaud.

     Given Snowe's strong cross-party support & Maine's general friendliness to independent candidates, if she receives a tea party challenger she might be wise to just forgo the primary & declare as an independent immediately.

Snowe should run as an independent or as a democrat. she receives the highest approvals from democrats =S

Democrats/left-leaning indies love them some "moderate" Republicans. I don't really get it. They should be thinking who they would rather have as Majority leader, Harry Reid or Mitch McConnell.

Meh, same thing(well, before the last election anyway) with the Blue Dogs to varying degrees.

If Snowe is primaried, she can either win as write-in (not hard to write-in "Snowe", but Leesa Murkoki was funnier), or she did not run, and there's solid D pickup.

For sure, Snowe is the only one who can win as R this year.
