The only positive thing I can say about her is that she appreciates the value of the Tea Party; however, that comes with the negative that she has attempted to hijack the Tea Party and turn it into Christian Conservatism 2.0.

I wouldn't trust her with a pair of scissors, let alone the Presidency. Glassy-eyed nutcase, she is.

It was negative before the GOP NH debate, but I thought she performed well. For now, she's neutral.

She talks Mises and free markets/non interventionism, but supports the PATRIOT act.

I will wait and see what she does.

Somewhat positive, and it was somewhat negative before the debate.

I think if you went back to 2008 and told someone that that weird Congresswoman, who made waves by calling Democrats treasonous or some nonsense, would be a viable candidate for the Republican nomination for President , they'd shoot themselves in despair.

Verry negative, of course.  Though I'd personally love her to win the GOP nomination =).

Somewhat Negative.  She's a HP, but unlike the other HP of her nature, she at least has a job and manage to make it through law school so I give her credit for at least doing work.

FF though I disagree with her on the Patriot Act.

Crazy seems to be the perfect word to describe her.

*Called for McCarthy-like investigations into perceived anti-Americanism in members of Congress.
*Said the U.S. Census was too "intricate" and wouldn't complete it because the Constitution doesn't require that citizens do (when it does).
*Told supporters to be "armed and dangerous" to stop the cap and trade bill.
*Thinks global warming is a hoax.
*Thinks being gay is a sexual identity disorder and a sign of sexual dysfunction and that gay people are trying to recruit children to be gay.

I realize all these things are positives nowadays in the Republican/Tea Party, but I'm not sure how they'll pan out in a general election setting and how these comments will sift with independent and moderate voters.

Still authoritarian and ultra-conservative.

Easy to go after with attack ads against some of these stated positions.

I'm not sure if the fact that she's considered a serious candidate is hilarious or terrifying.

I personally have a negative opinion of her, but her fellow pub candidates better not underestimate her.

Stone cold bitch, and I admire that.  She performed well at the debate too.  I'm torn.  She is scary, but interpreting the question as "opinion of her as a viable candidate" I'll go with Somewhat Positive.

Also, she got her law degree at Oral Roberts University.  That's awesome.

Most extremist and despotic leaders have their combination of ludicrous self-promotion and deadly-serious intention to compel everyone else to toe the line out of fear if love isn't available. Dictatorial types need their cult of personality not only for showing a popularity that transcends any election but also serves as a divide between those who are to get the sugar and those who are to get the shaft (or worse).   If she were President and she had a compliant Congress, then any comparison of her to a female dog might be one way to have nasty things happen to oneself.

She would be the closest thing that America could have to a Hugo Chavez on everything but ideology.

Yes, I don't think this person should have access to the nuclear option.

I don't agree with her dwelling so much on homosexuality, but I do think there is an overly aggressive gay agenda in this country... and I'm a Democrat.

I actually think she's the rich man's Palin, but that just shows more of how utterly impoverished Palin's mind is than anything positive for Bachmann.

Yeah I can't imagine why gays would want people to treat them decently or have equal rights.

I mentioned the gay/lesbian/bisexual high schools that are popping up over here to some of my lefty European friends and they thought it was bizarre.  Being able to get a job and not have ugly slurs hurled at you is an admirable goal, but there are certain demands from that movement that are kind of out there.

She'd be a fun nominee. And with a gay husband, to boot!

Many middle of the road, hard working and law abiding American citizens would be rightly frightened to have her as President. It is for that reason she is entirely unsuitable.
