Title: Building a 2012 scenario for President Forever+Primaries
Post by: NVGonzalez on August 04, 2011, 12:25:25 AM
So I am currently working on a 2012 scenario for this game. However I need some suggestions for Republican VP's and issues. Suggestions?

Hmmm..VP's is a good place to start, they are very easy to create. I dont know what PIPs and skills most have, but I can give you names and recognition levels.

Nikki Haley-Medium
Marco Rubio-Medium
Scott Brown-Medium
Bobby Jindall-Medium
Mark Sanford-High
Jim DeMint-High
Sarah Palin-Very High
Michelle Bachmann-Very High
David Petraus-Low
Ron Paul-Medium
Rand Paul-Medium
Sam Brownback-Very Low
Rick Scott-Medium
Bob Riley-Low
Allen West-Medium
Gary Johnson-Very Low
Susana Martinez-Low
Tim Pawlenty-Low
Jon Huntsman-Low
Jeb Bush-Very High
Sunny Perdue-Very Low
Ben Quayle-Very Low
Jan Brewer-Medium

I suppose Jesse Ventura, Mike Bloomberg, and Nader can be potential indies. Libertarians could have Mary Ruwart, Christine Smith, and Wayne Allen Root as possible candidates, and the Constitution Party can have Virgil Goode or Alan Keyes. Will the Green Party be included?

I will probably include Ralph Nader but I am not sure whether to put him as a green or an indy. I almost done with the main party leaders I just need to put some final touches to their percentages. My first test play made Romney a little too weak.
I still need to modify the primary dates, delegates, Party info, update issues, add endorsers and update some of the states info including population and EV's so its going to take me quite a bit.

EDIT: I will not include Ralph Nader after he said he will not run. The Green Party is not going to be included as of now but when candidates announce I will add them in updates. Also I will not change the delegate counts or dates until the full schedule is released. That will come in updates. Expect it ready in 2-3 weeks.

Production has gone by faster simply because of the fact that I am holding to do the primary date and delegate count until they are released. I only need to finish endorsements and third party candidates. I will add Tea Party Express as an endorser. Expect it ready by next week if not sooner.

Despite the fact that the primary schedule hasn't been released I found out its a good idea to modify the schedule. Endorsers are almost done and I perfected the percentages. Still need to work a lot on the 3rd parties but this should be done soon.

I love it when I'm about to finish a scenario then I hear the news about Perry's 10 point lead. Looks like I gotta do a little percentage shifting.

I'll start the thread when it is done. I am trying to make sure this scenario is as great and accurate as it gets.

An update will be available either after the GOP calendar has been announced or if/when Christie announces.

Will include:
-Updated poll numbers
-Updated primary dates
-Some better pictures
-The addition of Christie if he runs
-Added events if anything big happens

There's one floating around the P4E forum. Quite hard to play as Obama.

Needs to include events like "Perry: "Social Security is a ponzi scheme"." "Cain unvails 999 plan." "999 plan universally attacked." to do this crazy GOP cycle on P4E. The momentum increases and deceases would need to be crazy...

Yeah, the next edition should have alot of events, and maybe a few hypothetical ones in the future, like "Greece defalts" in early January, resetting the economy to a high profille issue. Maybe weaking Perry and Romney a bit so Cain, Newt, and Paul have stronger chances. A few more third party candidates would be nice as well, but otherwise this mod is perfect :) I play it the most out of all my other scenarios, its my favorite.

I actually am currently working on the updates and trying to see if there is a crazy change in numbers it is doable to reflect it on the scenario. I made Cain much stronger while Perry was weaken. Gingrich also received a boost and added a few Ron Paul moneybombs. Other than that I am waiting for a few events to happen and the confirmed schedule for the primaries to release the update. It will be ready soon though =]

Update is almost ready. Now I have just to fix the delegate allocation and try to see if I can make it possible to have the flavor of the month thing happen. Sorry for the delay guys!
