Title: A Real Free for All
Post by: PBrunsel on December 18, 2004, 11:49:48 PM
Well this is the lot of them. Inspired by republicanjew's poll I decided to put them all down in this huge, no holds, free for all extraveganza! The battle royal of 2000, who comes out on top?

The Contesestants:

Representing his dad...Governor George Walker Bush (R-TX)

Representing President Slick Willie...Vice President Al "The Albert" Gore (D-TN)

Hailing from "I fought in Vietnam"... Senator John McCain (R?-AZ), the original "Slim Shady"

Dribbling in from far, far-left field...former Senator Bill "The Dunkerooner" Bradley (D-NJ).

Hailing from "Snowballs's Chance in Hell"...

Ambassador Alan Keyes (R-MD/IL/Galaxies far far away)

Senator Oriin Hatch (R-UT)

Reagan Apointee Gary "I see where your hands are" Bauer (R-VA)

Businessman Malcom "The Steve" Forbes (R-NJ)

Bob Dole's Wife Elizabeth Dole (R-NC), who was also head of the insignifigant post of Secretary of Transportation.

Former Vice President James Dan "Potatoe" Quale III (R-IN/CA, he practically grew up in Pheonix)

Rep. John "K2K" Kasich (R-OH)

Senator Bob "Feel sorry for me" Smith (R-NH)

Writer and Nixonite Patrick "The Facist" Buchanan (Ref-VA)

Harry "Leagalise Pot" Browne (LB-TN)

Marxist turned Mussolini Lyndon LaRouche (Nutter-VA)

Gov. Lamar "Lamar"  Alexander (R-TN) John Ford really hates you!

Of course BRTD's favorite person on earth, Consumer Activist Ralph "Not Safe at Any Speed" Nader!

Now LET"S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!

Amazing. All these people and I'm not hugely fond of any of them.

Back then, I wasn't sure. I liked most of the candidates, but after seeing Bush's handling of crisises and strong leadership, I'd vote for him.

Gore for 4!

Bradley could do well in Florida, lots of old Knicks fans there.

Gore

Even though Bradley is probably closer to my views, Gore's administration's stances were a sure thing.

What's Lamar Alexander doing there? He ran in 1996, not in 2000, by my knowledge.

He did briefly...

Where's Howard Phillips? :(

Of those mentioned... QUAYLE!! The Republican whose favorite state aside from the aforemention California is "the great state of Chicago"

Seriously though perhaps Bauer, Hatch, Dole, Smith, or Browne (not really sure which though, I'd have to know more about their positions on various issues)

Gore, without question.

Is that more certain than of course? If not, then change that to of course.

I voted for John McCain in the Republican primary in 2000, and that was the closest thing to a free-for-all.

Acceptable candidates for me were Elizabeth Dole, John McCain or George W. Bush, for whom I voted in the general election.

My choice would be Newt Gingrich or Sarah Palin but from that list I'd have to go with John McCain.
