The racist tram woman recorded in a two-and-a-half minute viral YouTube video has been arrested.

The video was titled "My Tram Experience" and featured a woman, with a young boy on her lap, screaming obscenities and racial slurs at individuals on a South London tram.

The British Transport Police announced on Twitter that they had arrested the 34-year-old woman on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offense, reports The Washington Post.

"We've arrested a 34yo woman for racially aggravated public order offence as a result of #mytramexperience video brought to our attn," posted the BTP.

Anyone else seen this [NSFW] video? TL;DR version is some woman starts insulting people for being black, black people get pissed, another white woman starts yelling at the belligerent woman to stfu. Obviously very rare, but purdy shocking stuff to see such blatant racism on the London Underground.

The most interesting thing about this is that her English speaking skills are inferior to the majority of immigrants in this country.

There is no tram in the London underground.

That's true - she was on Tramlink, which is operated by Transport for London, the same publicly-owned company that runs the Tube.

Yeah, my bad, stupid foreigner mistake. I just associate the British Transport Police with the underground since every time I rode it there was a "If you see suspicious activity, please contact the British Transport Police" PA like every ten minutes

The BTP cover all the railways, not just London Underground.

Not only in the UK:

Cab driver throws out dark-skinned opera singer

An opera star has said that she was kicked out of a taxi for being black.

Afro-American soprano Angel Blue said that she was ordered to get out of a cab in Vienna moments after she entered it.

Weekly magazine News reports the singer as saying: "The driver said: ‘I don't drive black women - get out!’ I did so – and started to cry. All I wanted in that moment was to get away from here."

The 27-year-old from California currently is currently starring in Benjamin Britten’s opera "The Rape of Lucretia" at Vienna’s Theater an der Wien opera house.

Blue said the incident occurred two weeks ago. She appealed on police to track down and punish the cab driver she described as a grey-haired Austrian man aged between 50 and 60.

Andreas Curda of the Association of Taxi Drivers in Vienna argued: "It will be impossible to find the man based on this information and with no licence plate number."

Curda explained around 4,500 taxis are registered in the city. He added: "Every driver is obliged to chauffeur paying customers."

Viennese Social Democratic (SPÖ) Integration Issues Councillor Sandra Frauenberger said: "Such incidents must not occur without any consequences."

That's not the case here...

There's freedom of expression and then there's breach of the peace.

Then you better call the magistrate in charge of the case and tell him he's wrong...
