Connie Mack would be less controversial as nominee than Bush, although he would lack Christian Right machine at Iowa and other states...

Neither man is exactly charismatic in the scenario but I think Gore would have ran a better campaign and could have possibly used Clinton's help more. Gore would have won anyway in the scenario, the Congressional races would be a little better for the Republicans.

* I honestly don't think he'd change his strategy much, albeit maybe using Clinton a bit more out of desparation. But it shouldn't have been a huge difference to his strategy, ex. Anti-Lewinski gate, etc.
