Title: From the Darkness: A continuation of Death of a Nation - FINISHED
Post by: sentinel on February 17, 2012, 05:12:50 PM
This timeline is a spin off of Death of a Nation by Blackwater Nik/Psychic Octopus.

Death of a Nation: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=122066.0

I’m not going to update you on what happened in Death of a Nation because I think it’s a great read. I believe he was writing it from the first person perspective of  former Senator Russ Feingold. I will continue the story in first person but not only from the perspective of Feingold.

June 4th 2013 – From the diary of Roland Burris, resident of Chicago, former United States Senator

“It’s the worst its ever been here. I went to city hall today and was nearly killed along the way. I swear that some of the people I threw in jail as Attorney General are back on the streets –every one of them. The Chicago Police are no help after the Mayor was forced to strip more and more of their benefits, they need to feed their families and criminal organizations are paying them better than the city can afford. I have heard rumor of one criminal organization that has even been able to recruit doctors so they can give health care to their members. It’s become a fiefdom in a sense. This isn’t just a gang, it’s more like a mob. I don’t know their name –or what they call themselves –I wouldn’t be surprised if they have supporters in city hall or the state house already. I know they’re after me –they wrote threats on my mausoleum.
Mayor Emanuel is not confident about the future of the city or country. I have never seen him look so scared, tired and helpless. There are food shortages in the country, but he has access to food so its not that. The stress of the job is getting to him. It shows how committed he is to the city that he’s still in the job after they killed members of his family. It’s a tantamount to the guards closest to him that he hasn’t gotten hit yet. Emanuel has to know that the Aldermen are trying to oust him. The whole city knows. He cut their benefits and pay entirely, and is barely paid himself.
I learned from Jose, some Deputy in the Mayor’s staff, that Barack is hiding out somewhere. Biden’s pardon might have pardoned him legally but it didn’t help the anger that people feel towards him –I think wrongly..."

June 18th 2013 --- A moment with FBI Agent Luke Daria of Los Angeles, California

”Today the Republican Congress dismantled the remaining gun control laws…President Palin is expected to sign the bill calling it “a step towards  a society that our Founders wanted us to have…”

“Why did they do that daddy? Aren’t guns bad?”

“At this point, the repeal was more of a formality because gun laws are simply not enforced in most places anymore."

“What?"

“Because people want to protect themselves, honey. The government thinks they’re trying to help but they’re just making it worse…”

July 20th 2013From the Diary of former Senator Russ Feingold

President Palin’s approval rating dropped into the 30’s for the first time this week as Social Security was formally fully dismantled. The government had not been paying for it since Republicans took control in 2010 as the government crashed, but now the work of President Roosevelt is truly undone. Unemployment is over 40% with the number of underemployed over 60%. Military recruitment is up because there is nowhere else to go but there’s little money left to pay for soldiers. The only liberal aspect left in government is Veterans health care benefits –and that’s only because Congress fears a military revolt if their benefits are slashed anymore.
I truly think at this point people are more loyal to those around them than the idea of the United States.

July 21st 2013 – From the Diary of David Millband, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

I spoke with President Palin today. I was hoping for good news, or reassurance but I had none. Churchill once wrote that when the United States entered the war he knew that the Allies would not lose –I feel the opposite way –the more the United States withdraws from the global stage the more I feel hopeless. The European Union exists on the books but not in the hearts of Europeans. This crisis has destroyed any chance we had at a European identity. President Palin told me today that the United States will announce its withdrawal from NATO later this week. Palin said that this withdrawal was due to security concerns in Eastern Europe that the United States did not want to be drawn into.

August 8th 2013 – A conversation between two Congressional Democrats

”We have a vote on the floor soon.”
“What is it?”
“A resolution affirming support for the President’s decision to quit NATO”
“She’s tearing this country to pieces. Why bother going to the vote? I don’t know why we do this anymore.”
“There’s so few of us. Someone needs to stand up and be the opposition to this.”
“Its hard to stand when your legs are cut from underneath you”
“We need to keep hoping that tomorrow will be better. It will get better.”
“No, it won’t get better. There are one hundred Democrats in the House, and twenty of them show up to vote if we’re lucky. Twenty.”
“Would you rather them govern on their own?”
“The party is dead, John. The party is dead.”

September 1st 2013 – From the Diary of former Senator Russ Feingold

I know I have wrote before that urban areas are no longer safe but now I can say that they are not only safe but they are havens of crime. Roland Burris was killed yesterday by those who he once put in jail. He was killed walking out of city hall. No one reacted to the gunfire that rang out. It has become too normal in urban life. President Palin is truly an idiot or puts on a good show for the cameras –acting as if everything is okay.
Democrats in Congress are in shambles. Few even show up to vote on the floor anymore. Speaker John Boehner was forced out of office in disgrace for opposing a more right Republican policy. An old friend who still works on the hill had told me Boehner knew the day was coming where the the far right would simply outnumber the moderates like him. A few days ago was that day. Congressman Pete King of Iowa is now the Speaker of the House –his election was personally blessed by President Palin. With Boehner’s resignation from Congress, 20 other Republicans resigned –all moderates.
I am truly worried about the security of the few friends I have left on the Hill. DC, having military patrols constantly, is probably the safest place in the country but in these days trust is hard to find.
I find myself thinking about the election in 2012. Unfortunately there can be no grassroots movements to elect anyone with a real change of changing things for the country because people are more worried about their security, feeding their families and fighting to keep the roof over their heads. They have no interested in electing politicians who they still think are overfed and corrupt. They’re right.

September 23rd 2013 – Diary of Jane Leibowitz, an American Citizen

I remember September 23rd 2013 like it was yesterday. I was only ten years old at the time but its just so vivid a memory. I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t remember what happened. M father was an outspoken liberal who had the respect of our local community. He even served in Congress until he resigned when he felt that the safety of our family was at stake. I was young and didn’t think anything of it. My father, even though he wasn’t working in Congress, used to stay out late and came back looking distressed. Our area wasn’t a bad area but one day my parents kept me home from school –and then another, and another. Soon, I wasn’t going to school anymore. Other than the boy next door, I never saw my friends. I liked him, so I didn’t mind.
On September 23rd my father came home earlier than usual. I heard him say to my mother that “things were not going according to plan” and that “we might have to leave soon.” I remember seeing my mother drop to her knees as she heard this. I think she said something on the level of “they turned on us” and my father tried to console her saying that they had no choice to. I heard car doors slam and my father looked at me and said “Go upstairs honey, pack your bag –you’re going to your grandmothers tonight.” I was ten, so I was confused –I hadn’t seen my grandmother in a while so I was happy about that. I went up to my room, and heard a loud bang which I later learned was the door getting kicked in, followed by gunshots.
I didn’t know what the loud sounds were so I ran back downstairs and saw a man aiming a gun at me –I must have startled him because he fired and it hit me in the leg. The pain was nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. I hope to never experience it again. After that everything went blurry but I do remember the men yelling and surrounding me and then it all went black.
Who were they? A militaristic arm of the FBI meant to put down revolutionaries.

November 7, 2013 – From the Diary of Hillary R. Clinton

It has been one year since the American people decided to hand the fate of the United States back to the Republican Party. These aren’t the Republicans that  I grew up knowing –this isn’t the party of Nixon, Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Reagan or either of the Bushes. These are a new breed –a breed set on turning this nation into a theocracy while the economy crumbles. The President has all but declared the United States to be an isolationist Christian nation. Her incompetence is the only thing impressive about her.

I have been thinking about giving the Presidency one more run. One last try for the sake of the nation but I don’t know if I can bring myself to do it. Bill is sick, and health care is increasingly sparse even for us. Chelsea has the kids now and I know I would be putting them in danger if I angered the wrong people. We are no longer protected by the Secret Service which is something Bill and George went down to Congress together to oppose. Palin refused to meet with Bill, George and Joe. I don’t know where Barack was. I really thought he could turn the nation around. Who would have thought the results of a caucus in Iowa in 2008 would have led to this?

This seems like something out of "A HandMaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. That book took place as demographic, ecological, social, economical and political decline created an environment where Christianist Jihadis from inside the military systematically 66'd Congress and created the Republic of Gilead, where the state micromanaged all the nation's spiritual, genetic and cultural processes. Eventually, there were armed uprisings by moderates and liberals and that eventually resulted in placing Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Sterile Females, Homosexuals, Jews, Muslims, Seculars, Christian Heretics, the Mentally Retarded, Liberals and "Moderates" into "colonies" in the empty quarter of our country...namely for extermination or to work in toxic and nuclear waste facilities.

In a Epologue of the story, it was implied that the revolutionaries eventually won and created a politically fragmented and Multicultural world from the death throes of a dying nation.

November 30th 2013 – An excerpt from President Sarah Palin’s diariy

It is always a great time to be an American. The liberals and anarchists are rioting in the cities but we’ve taken steps to put them back in line and restore this Christian nation to its former glory. I knew it would be tough but we were moving there, we were on the right track. I talked to some of our European allies today and advised them to let their economies loose because it is the only way back to economic prosperity. Look at their socialist countries now –60% plus unemployment. Our unemployment would be lower if it wasn’t for the liberals rioting. They need to learn some work ethic and get back to work or we’ll have to convince them.

December 25th 2013 – An excerpt from Senator Russ Feingolds diary

There is no Christmas in America this year. I am more convinced than ever that if no one stops this Administration there  may be no America.

January 1st 2014 – An excerpt from John Mattews, an American Citizen’s diary

This is the coldest New Years day I can remember. I don’t mean cold like weather…but there was no celebrating when 2013 eneded and 2014 began. I’ve begun to lose hope…I think America has lost hope…

January 15th 2014 – AN excerpt from the diary of former President Barack Obama

If I said “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times” I’d be lying. This is the worst of times. I have not seen Michelle, Malia or Sasha since shortly after I was removed from office. Pardoned legally, but not by the public. Many blame me for this catastrophe and they want my head.
I have had limited contacts with those still loyal to me –and they are few. Congress made me out to be a traitor…and showing my face in public will not end well for me….The country is in shambles, people look fondly on the George W. Bush presidency…Palin is destroying the very fabric of America…
Three rogue Secret Service agents are all I have left. They sacrificed their families to continue protecting me…they were close to me and saw what really happened –they may be the only ones who did.

January 26th 2014 – A clip from a news broadcast

Today, Republican Governor Sam Brownback of Kansas called on President Palin and Congress to provide more subsidies to farm owners and to “make food suppliers exempt from federal taxes” citing global and national food shortages for what would be a radical policy…

…Today, Congress passed a law making English the official language of the United States…President Palin has been a chief supporter of the law and has said she will sign it into effect immediately…

…President Palin’s approval rating is estimated to be below 30%...

…I’m sorry –we have to interrupt –to tell our viewers that Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has just been shot and killed outside of City Hall…

…Mayor Emanuel has been increasingly at odds with rising criminal organizations within Chicago and rumors said he was also at odds with the police force…

January 30th 2014 – From the diary of Roland Burris, resident of Chicago, former United States Senator

The service for Mayor Emanuel was quick, but the room was packed with pale faces of not sorrow –but fear. Fear for themselves, fear for their loved ones and fear for the future of our once great city and this nation. I feel like Emanuel died a martyr, a martyr for what this nation once was. I hope that his death inspires people to challenge what is happening in America now but unfortunately I think fear is dominating over hope.
No one will be prosecuted for what happened to the Mayor. The police are divided and loyal to whatever criminal organization they associate with. There are few amongst them that can afford to stand alone in this new order.
I read today that some cities are without electricity or running water now like New York. I guess its worse there than this cesspool.

February 4th 2014 –From the diary of Anthony Romanelli  a Defense spending economist within Palin’s  Executive Office of Budget & Management

President Palin fired the last few people who had a critical viewpoint of her Administration’s policies. I don’t like just this go with the bandwagon mentality, but I’m getting paid –and if I tell  the real problems, I won’t be getting paid anymore. If she wasn’t so insecure…maybe things would be better…no its more than insecurity…
I saw some projections today for our revenue stream going into 2017…the Administration is going to have to cut defense and drastically…its practically the only thing being funded right now…revenue is going to drop off…big time. They’re going to have to borrow to keep the military at this level…the exact thing that Palin is opposed to doing…and the exact thing that got us here…January 20, 2017 we will not be able to pay the Armed Forces of the United States.
I need to keep this job…I can’t deliver the bad news to the Director…things need to look good, I have to make them look good…as long as I’m not working here on January 20, 2017…

February 3, 2014 – A conversation between two friends in Manhattan, NY

“They’ve literally closed the island. I was on the east river before and there are people jumping in the river trying to swim across. They’re not making it. The Coast Guard is stopping boats, but they’re not doing anything to the swimmers because out of 100, maybe 1 person will make it.”

“They can still afford to pay the Coast Guard?”

“Apparently”

“Is Tony still making pizza?”

“If you want to pay a fortune for one. He doesn’t got the supplies, he’s running on reserves.”

“Times are pretty bad then eh?”

“Yeah, they are.”

“You think we should try to get out?”

“No point, we’d die trying.”

“It’s a surprise we haven’t already”

February 6, 2014 – An unaired interview with Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York
“Sir, with Manhattan closed off due to –what your people are saying are health and safety concerns –how are you going to get these people’s votes when you run for reelection?”

“Well, I won’t be getting their votes because I won’t be on the ballot in November.”

“So you don’t care about the people in Manhattan?”

“No, I care –and I care a lot about them. Since I’m not running again, I can be honest –this President is forcing the hand of the state governments. The other day they completely ignored a request from Republican Governor Sam Brownback. Most of the Governor’s have been united behind some solutions that we have –but President Palin and the Congress won’t hear it. Few of us are willing to stand up to her because the few federal funds that we get –we need badly. Many states have military forces operating inside them. I stood up against her, or I tried –me and Governor Christie. Christie’s house is under military guard. It’s not a military guard, it’s a military threat to keep his mouth shut for “the good of the country” and “the good of the Union.” It’s a load of bullsh**t if you ask me.”

February 6, 2014 – A conversation between Secretary of Defense Rudy Giuliani and a subordinate.

“Sir, Governor Cuomo has claimed that we ordered the US military to guard Governor Christie’s house not to protect him but to threaten him.”

“I don’t know what Cuomo’s problem is, we have credible threats on most of the Governors in the nation, you tell him that. I need to take a call”

The subordinate leaves the room and Secretary Giuliani picks up the phone “Betsy, get me Chuck”

“Hello?”

“Chuck, its Rudy.”

“What can I do for you?”

“Up protection on Cuomo. Apparently he did an interview with the Albany affiliate of NBC.”

“We’ll handle it.”

“Great, thanks.”
February 23, 2014 – A phone call between Governor Dennis Daugaard of South Dakota and President Palin’s Chief of Staff

“Dennis, its been a long time.”

“Governor, to you –I didn’t know we were on a first name basis…”

“We’ve been on a first name basis since the inauguration, now how can I help you?”

“Look –a few of us want to see President Palin.”

“I thought you were calling about security concerns on Mt. Rushmore?”

“25 other Governor’s couldn’t get through about security concerns, I’m not sure why you took my call either”

“Its cause we’re friends Dennis…”

“Governor.”

“Governor, fine. I told the other Governor’s that the President has a tight schedule. You see the chaos in the country going on now. She’s out there leading and we need you to be out there leading as well.”

“Leading? Yeah, leading us down the path to ---“

“I’m busy, I can’t listen to your complaints all day. I can’t get you in with the President –“

“Your going to have a civil war on your hands if you don’t change your attitude to people like me.”

“What are you going to do? Abandon the party? The opposition exists in name only. You can’t do anything. You rely on us now, and we’re calling the shots.”

“Tomorrow morning, South Dakota will be the first state to secede. The United States has abandoned us.”

February 24, 2014 – Breaking News Broadcast

“Governor Dennis Daugard of South Dakota was found dead in his home this morning. What looks like an attempted robbery has gone horribly wrong. Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels has been sworn in as Governor –and the suspects are still at large.”

“President Palin has called the death a terrible tragedy and said Governor Daugaard was a real American and a patriot.”

February 24, 2014 – A conversation between Mr & Mrs Chris Christie

“I can’t believe it. They ordered it. They actually did that.”

“You think so? They’re saying it’s a robbery.”

“Dennis was supposed to try to schedule a meeting with Palin last night. This is bad.”

“Can we do something?”

“Not if we don’t want to end up like them.”

“Should we leave?”

“I don’t know.”

March 18, 2014 – From the diary of California Governor Jerry Brown

I’ll read back on this, or maybe someone will read this once I’m gone and say this sounds cliché –but never has it been this bad.  I’ve been Governor three times and this is the only time I have felt unsafe. Insecure. The others are afraid too. Cuomo and Christie –two of the most vocal of the Administration have been basically silenced for now, Feingold is trying to scream but no one hears him.
The worst part is, I know my fear is real. Dennis called me after he spoke with Palin’s office. He was going to submit a bill to secede from the Union in the morning. His mistake was telling the White House. The new South Dakota Governor looked pale as a ghost when he was sworn in. He knew what happened. We all did.
As for California. She’s been better. Like the rest of the nation, the government barely functions. We’ve cut budgets and tried not to undermine the poor but the burden on the state is too high. The policies enacted by the Administration are only making things worse. I don’t know what the President sees when she drives through Washington DC, or when she flies around the country. Actually, I don’t know if she flies around the country.
No sitting Governor is running for reelection. They’re all afraid. I’m thinking about it. Someone needs to stand up.

An  undated excerpt from former Senator Russ Feingold’s novel Death of a Nation

“I’ve gone back and read the diary of Governor Jerry Brown. He was a great American, and maybe one of the bravest in history. After the murder of South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugard he stood in front of camera and accused the President of ordering the murder. The President responded calling him an Alzheimer’s patient and accused him of just trying to stir up trouble. Palin even said he was disrespecting the family that he left behind.
Governor Brown called me and said he was going to bring cameras and go to the front door of the White House, to expose the President for what she really was. He died the next day of a heart attack. I don’t think he was murdered, I think it was just his time. It was too much for him. People would immediately remember him as a wack job, because that’s what the White House wanted. History would exonerate him, but he wasn’t entirely right either.

Ehhh...that's no fun. It would be cool to have it be more complicated than a cut and dry war of succesion or coup. Perhaps there are suceeding states that are trying to restablish a new federal Goverment and perhaps there are various factions  at both the federal and state level. Perhaps there is an Occupier hipster militia at the Federal Level a string of both conservative and liberal succesor political entities and perhaps some tactical nukes are used. Basically think Shattered Union...but that its not just happening here.

I could think of four factions of the top of my head-

The Allied States of America- Conservative Anti-Palin succesor states in the Great Plains and upper South that are supported by desserting unpaid military elements.

The Occupy Wall Street Movement- Various Celebrities, Military and Business Leader and charismatic Left-Wing Politicians aligned themselves with a few Northeastern and Western States and cities to create a paralell nation. (State of Vermont, City of Salt Lake and the Free Republic of Cascadia were amongst the original members)

The Tea Party - Another group of economic and social NGOs that form a paralell patchwork across the nation to essential abolish the Federal Government and vest all powers in the remaining states or in various religious or economic institutions.

The Federal Government (Those loyal to Presidient Palin).

I don't get the coincidence because I was trying to think of a last name and Liebowitz came to mind. There's no other thought behind it, but if you want to analyze feel free haha

Were trying to nitpick at it just like when the boys on South Park tried to make the most lewd novel of all time and when it became popular, people tried to think of it in any way they could when it was just 4 9 year old boys trying to have a dare.

An excerpt from Senator Russ Feingold’s novel Death of a Nation

“It was then I decided that I would run for the Presidency. Brown was dead, Emanuel was dead, Daugaard was dead. I had talked to everyone who I thought might run, and they refused after Brown’s death. There was one other who was considering it. I hoped to earn his support, and ultimately I was successful –but that’s a story for later.
At this point, I didn’t even think that the other was until he reached out to me almost a year later. Quietly, I began to make preparations for my family if I was going to run.
I started to travel around Wisconsin, to Madison and Milwaukee even venturing over to the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Urban areas weren’t as bad in the Midwest as it was in the East or West, but the situation was quickly deteriorating as inflation began to skyrocket as a result of the Fed pumping money into the economy. Stagflation was rampant. You know its bad when the guys who calculate unemployment didn’t have jobs anymore.  It was a wonder that Congress didn’t –or couldn’t, I’m still not sure—dismantle the Fed.
Gangs and alliances were rampant in urban areas. The suburbs turned into this passive turf warfare zone. The police forces in many parts of the country were ineffective and seeing military officials or soldiers was a fairly often occurrence. This was not the America I had remembered only a few short years ago.

Interview with Jane Leibowitz, an American Citizen, looking back on April 3rd 2015

After my parents were murdered by the Freehs –the militaristic arm of the FBI named after Palin’s FBI Director Louis Freeh –I lived with neighbors from down the road for a few months until my grandparents were able to safely get me to them. I only remember this story vaguely but it has been retold to me since then. Unfortunately the family that took me in was killed in the resulting conflict…but they died the same way my parents did –organizing the revolutionaries that hoped to overthrow this Administration and to restore order and the American dream.
On April 3, 2014 there was a large meeting at the family’s house that I was living at. No one care by car except for one person. This was the first major meeting of the core revolutionaries since the murder of my parents. They would name themselves Jane’s Fighters in the coming years after me. Corny, but they used me as the example of the potential the country still had, they knew their lives wouldn’t be any better by fighting –but they weren’t going to fight for themselves. They were fighting for their children to have the America that they used to have.
What they talked about on April 3rd other than the name, I was never told, but it was clear to me even then that what they were doing was bigger than me –even if I didn’t understand it at the time. I was right, it was much bigger than me.

September 14th 2014 – An excerpt from the diary of former Senator Roland Burris

The last six months have only resulted in things getting worse. President Palin announced that she would seek reelection and she would not campaign against those whom went along with her policies. No one wanted to end up Daugaard, no one wanted the military quarantining their house so no one stood up. Rioting was even more common in urban areas, and suburbia turned into fiefdoms in fact in some places I hear its beginning to look like some towns are controlled by warlords.
To stop stagflation the President, with the stroke of her pen, dismantled the Federal Reserve and put us back on the gold standard. If we even have gold anymore, I don’t know.

October 16th 2014 – An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

I have been following radio reports of happenings in New Jersey over the last week or so. Governor Christie and his family managed to disappear –perhaps the few who are still loyal to him helped him escape the military guard around his home. After word of the Governor’s flight made its way to the cities, riots and gang violence broke out in Trenton and Newark –more so than usual for an urban city of this time. President Palin ordered the military to quell the unrest. 100 people are dead now thanks to the order from the President. This is the first public use of force handed down by the President. This certainly won’t be the last. I have a bad feeling that this is only the beginning.

The Day After Election Day – November 2014 – A conversation between former Speaker John Boehner and his wife

“What were the results from yesterday?”

“Well, there are 9 less Democratic Governors, only 50 Democrats left in the House, and 18 Democratic Senators…the Democratic Party is dead. They’ll all be wiped out by the next election.”

“That’s a shame. You thought they’d be the one hope for the nation.”

“After our party went over the edge, I did...now they can’t help. Republicans are too scared to speak out after Daugaard, the once radical minority in Congress is now the radical majority. They hijacked the Congress, and now it’s the radical supermajority.”

“Do you think someone will run for President in 2016?”

“Whoever it is won’t have a chance.”

“Do they know the turnout nationally?”

“I heard between two and five percent…but it’s not like the voters actually matter now.”

Written sometime in late 2014 – A Chinese National, unknown name –translated to English

…The nationalist forces are scattered. The cities have become slums. We thought we were on the road to topple America as the next superpower but now America is one among equals –on her knees. Her military prowess is focused inwards as is with many other nations.

Here it is hard to find food. My family’s rice farm still is able to produce rice and we are far enough removed that we are not directly affected by the violence in other parts. We feed those who do wander into our field and we take no side in the war.

News comes slowly but we do hear things. There is a radio station with news that we sometimes can listen to….

January 18th 2015 – An interview with Conan O’Brien by Jeffrey Cronkite

“So why did you stop performing?”
“The real question is why are you still interviewing people anymore? There’s no money –in this or anywhere.”
“I like to style myself after Hunter S. Thompson…”
“HST was always looking to get paid to buy some booze…but like I said there’s no money…we’re barely get by. The millions I had in the bank were no match for inflation..”
“I can see,  I honestly thought it would be loftier…”
“So did I. You know I shot guns with HST once…”
“I’ve seen the video…”
“Where’d you see that? Your area still have internet access?”
“No, NBC studios. Saw the original.”
“You’ve done that much research huh?”
“Nothing else to do. I steal or work when I can.”
“This is becoming more an interview about you than me.”
“I don’t mind, its nice talking to someone who isn’t constantly paranoid about their security.”
“We’re a little far out for that. Tends to happen less around here. We don’t see many.”
“How often do you go into town?”
“Every so often. There’s not much there anymore. Food shortages in the rest of the country aren’t as prominent here either. Farmers in the area keep it all local to feed the people around us.”
“Do they welcome outsiders to relocate here?”
“No, we got here just in time. After that they started to harass anyone who tried to relocate here.”
“Harass?”
“At first. They shot one family. Story got around and people stopped coming. So what are you doing?”
“I’m just talking to people who were once somebodys…”
“Oh, thanks –I was somebody.”
“…and trying to get their stories...”
“You think we’re gonna pull out of this thing?”
“Don’t know. Sure doesn’t look good.”

January 30th 2015 – Diary of William J. Clinton

Hillary has been nagging me to start writing this. I’ve already wrote several autobiographies, I don’t know why she insists on me writing a diary too.

Being President gives you a certain insight –at least it did for me.  I can understand, even if I don’t agree with, decisions that my successors have made –up until Sarah Palin. I don’t understand a damn decision she’s made in office. Everything seems counterintuitive or just plain out there.
Maybe someone will read this one day and ask how it happened. Its not all Republicans fault. The Democrat Party stopped standing its ground and kept moving to the right. The Republican Party –since no one was pulling it the other way –slowly kept moving to the right. Slowly they had radicals take positions of power first at local government, and then in 2010 they came rushing into Congress. The economy, which was way out of control of President Obama, got worse and people voted in more of these types of Republicans. Cut all spending and demonize the opposition. Democrats didn’t fight to stop it. They gave in. 2012 proved that the tsunami had just started and by January 2013 there were hardly any moderates left in Congress. Now there are only Republicans and the Democrats in Congress are useless.
I’m not sure what Hillary wanted me to write about but I think this is good enough for a first entry.

February 3rd 2015 – A conversation somewhere in America

“How far away are we from implementation?”
“We were set back again. They took more of our supporters. Others have gone into hiding.”
“We need to wait, I’m telling you. There’s something big coming…”
“What do you want us to do? Wait and get lucky?”
“This doesn’t make sense. They can’t afford all this…”
“We need to create our own luck and make our own opportunity…”
“If we force this it isn’t going to work”
“We’re all going to die here if we don’t act soon…”

Another walks into the room

“The date is January 20, 2017. It will start then, with or without us –it starts then.”

An interview with Jeremy Fort, American citizen, looking back on February 14th 2015

“Yeah, I remember that day. Not much you can’t remember about that day. I used to work at Hoover Dam. Security has lessened over the years, which was why all this happened. We told our superiors that they damn Dam wasn’t secure but they didn’t listen or couldn’t get the money. Probably both.

Anyway, on February 14, 2015 we had a tour come to the Dam, fairly unusual cause of what was happening in the country. People more concerned about getting food, security and keeping their roofs over their head than touring some Dam. These fellas didn’t particularly stand out but they all had backpacks –we used to check backpacks but this time we didn’t. When the rest of the workers were questioned by the FBI after all this, we couldn’t agree if there were five or six of them. Security cameras showed later that there were six and one slipped away allowing all of this to happen. A few hours after the guys left we heard an explosion, and then another explosion. Rocked the whole Dam. We went to see what it was and a bomb had gone off somewhere causing some serious damage to the structure of the Dam.

We later found out that these guys had researched this and pin pointed the weakest spots in the Dam. They got it right cause within the first hour water started pouring through and then the pressure only increased and within the day the Dam came tumbling down. Thing was built in the 1930’s and it had seen better days. No one thought it was weak enough to take down like that though.

The flooding from the Dam killed a few thousand and dislocated a lot more. Luckily, I lived north of the Dam and wasn’t affected besides from losing my job. Still had a lot to live for, and I saw it as an early retirement.

This is going to be a comprehensive timeline. I have a few things that are going to happen drawn up and the seeds are already planted for many of the factions or sides that I am envisioning. I'm not quite done planting all those seeds though.

Diary of former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin

They didn’t help us when Katrina hit, and now they won’t help the people of Boulder when the Hoover Dam got bombed. What do they expect these people to do? Palin says it’s a state issue. It’s going to be a national issue when states start seceding

Governor Ken Bennett of Arizona, Republican – Press Conference February 20th 2015

“…the Hoover Dam terrorist attack was by far the most deadly terrorist attack in American history. It will be remembered as a day where the national government abandoned the states…We’re trying to find out who did it –and bring them to justice. We don’t have the money or the resources but so many people are trying to help right now. Other Governor’s have called me and sent what help they can but it is not enough. There is little I can offer for those grieving or affected by the attack….the initial blast did not kill anyone but the rush of water down the valley and into Boulder City did…”

“I spoke with President Palin. She told us this was a state issue that we needed to deal with. We might as well be a confederation because the only people trying to help are other states.

An excerpt from former Senator Russ Feingold’s book Death of a Nation

I had already decided to run for President when the Hoover Dam terrorist attack had occurred. Palin had touted strong national security credentials and I could not believe that she refused to aid Arizona. Homeland Security Secretary Rudy Giuliani had the audacity to say that the attack was not a terrorist attack. I’m not sure how he came to that conclusion. After watching the inaction of the Administration I traveled to Ohio to speak with someone who had dealt with Palin first hand –John Boehner.

Boehner was not expecting me, but having worked with him in Congress he knew who I was and was happy to see someone from his past, from a better time. He told me about how he was being pushed farther and farther to the right by the radicals elected in 2010 and 2012. Moderate Democrats and Republicans were being pushed out while the liberals were demonized. Boehner tried to steer Palin to the middle and I found out what I had suspected for a long time –the Administration was openly using threats against members of Congress as well as people they perceived as enemies. As the Administration’s base in Congress grew when less and less Democrats and moderate (and even conservative) Republicans spoke up, and eventually stopped showing up. Boehner was quietly bucking the Administration and eventually his good luck ran out when the military showed up at his home to “guard his family.” Boehner resigned his seat immediately and went back to Ohio.

It was then, after telling our stories and sharing our views of a better tomorrow that I offered him the Vice President spot on what would ultimately be the Democratic ticket in 2016 –almost 20 months before the election. It took him a little while, but he would ultimately accept.

March 27th 2015  – An excerpt from the diary of former President Barack H. Obama

The past few months have been hard. The few friends I have left have told me that my family is increasingly being watched and insulated by the government protection that they have. Being away from them is hard, but somehow, I know its best. If I were to show up again they would be in danger more than they already are.
I’ve heard the rumors that Governor Daugaard was assassinated by the military. Its hard to believe but I believe it. Since that and the death of Jerry Brown few have spoke up against Palin. I know there is more going on in the country than what I have seen or heard. Information is scarce when you are trying to stay off the radar and there are few places I can go without being recognized. My long hair and beard has made that easier as of late but my voice is what tips people off. Sometimes the look on their faces tells me that they recognize me as “the traitor” while other times they embrace me without words.

April 8, 2015 – New York Times Article
“…today the 42nd President of the United States William J. Clinton passed away…his Administration saw the largest period of peacetime economic expansion in American history…the last large economic expansion since December 2007 when the country and world fell into a depression…”

April 10, 2015 – Diary of former Democratic Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico

President Clinton once said “Profound and powerful forces are shaking and remaking our world, and the urgent question of our time is whether we can make change our friend and not our enemy.” I remember those days like it was yesterday. We had positive change, change that had the potential to help every American. Now the change we see hurts every American, destroys family and is a slight to the ideals that founded this once great country. We are a great country no longer.
Tomorrow I am going to Washington to ask our two Republican Senators to pressure the President to put military forces on the border. The drug lords have made their own –dominion on the border. Our police forces are not funded enough to stop them and their resources have become greater than the states. Arizona, Texas and California have the same problems also without the support of the federal government.
No one thinks I will be successful but I will go and try anyway.

April 18, 2015 – A conversation between Colonel Carl Xander and a friend

“Colonel, or should I say General?”
“Not yet –another few weeks.”
“Congratulations. How are you feeling about it?”
“Its an honor, but I want to use it to bring to light some areas where the Administration has been lacking…”
“Like what?”
“Our military is stretched too thin and overworked. We are weaker than we have been ever before.”
“I thought you supported Palin?”
“I do –the liberals are destroying this country in the cities. Their cries of ‘intolerance’ and ‘injustice’ are designed to deceive real Americans. The only intolerance and injustice is that these people are allowed to speak their wretched anti-American ideals.”

Perhaps with the weakening military, the drug lords will start to take over Arizona and Texas and perhaps the Lakotah and the Navajo nations will sever ties with the US and then when it appears that Palin still narrowly won after the country started to slowly to disintergrate perhaps then is when the waves of succesion starts to speed up.

Jonny Clark speaks up again”Yeah, he wouldn’t talk much about it. Said not to worry.  His wife was assaulted in front of a local grocery store one day. Beat up pretty badly. After that he resigned from office and we never saw the black suburban again.

Interviewer: “What happened in the neighborhood after that? How did your neighbors react?”

Jonny Clark’s wife Marissa speaks up”Well, looking back on it we know who it was…but at the time it was in the back of our heads that something bad was happening. Few neighbors talked to each other after that. We were worried about our own safety as well. Jonny used to be a defense contractor and was employed by a firm at the time.”

Interviewer:”How aware were you of what was happening in the communities around you?”

Jonny Clark speaks up:”From traveling to work everyday I saw the areas that were worse off, even when the economy was good, got hit hard sooner. I used to drive through this poor neighborhood but my car got shot at once in December 2014. After that I took a different route to work even though it took 20 more minutes.”

Tom Corbett. That was established in Death of a Nation, I haven't talked much about him.

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

When Andrew Cuomo was elected as Governor of New York people saw him as a future President. When he was convicted of high crimes and misdemeanors by the New York State legislature on September 6, 2015 he became a symbol just as Daugaard did. If you oppose the Administration you will be dealt with whether its directly from the top down or from the Administration’s efforts to put their supporters into state legislatures.
Its funny how history works itself out. At the time we didn’t know that other forces were at work inside the NYS legislature. The new Governor, appointed by the legislature, would be longtime Palin-supporter Greg Edwards. Republican Majority Leader Richard Fontana would be selected by Edwards as the new Lieutenant Governor. Fontana had only in 2014 become a NYS Senator and quickly rose to become the majority leader in 2015.
By the time January 2016 roared its head John Boehner and I were traveling the country on what little money we had. We traveled by whatever means we could –had you asked a few years prior if I could see John Boehner traveling like a hobo, I would have said no. Had you asked me a few years ago, I could never imagine the Democratic nominee traveling on a shoestring budget like what we had.
We could have spent more money on the campaign –inflation was high and our families had saved a good amount but it was a disservice to our family. We knew that we would have no way to make back the money so we didn’t use any of it.
By January 2016 unemployment, in hindsight, was estimated to be as high as 50% with underemployment reaching 80%. At the time the Administration said these numbers were substantially lower or did not produce the numbers at all. A gallon of oil by January 2016 was more than $300 in the cheapest area in the country due to a large number of factors including shortages and inflation. At Palin’s State of the Union she called the year of 2016 “the year that will mark a new era for America.” Unfortunately 2016 would mark the beginning of a new era.
On January 18th 2016 I for the first time since 2011 came across Barack Obama. The meeting took over a year to set up.

January 18th 2016 –A conversation between Russ Feingold, John Boeher and Barack Obama

“Barack, its good to see that you’re still alive.”
“Its good to see you too Russ. Its not often I see a friendly face.”
“I’m sorry to have to agree with you. There are so few now.”
“John, its good to see you as well.”
“Barack, I’m so sorry.” Barack assumed John was apologizing for the impeachment proceedings. Boehner had been against the impeachment but was forced to go along with them.
“I understand John. I just wish there were more like you.”
“They’re all gone Barack, the Republican Party of George W. Bush doesn’t exist.”
“These aren’t Republicans, John –they’re radicals ideologues hell bent on ideological purity.”
“They’re starting to actively round up dissenters.” Russ interrupted
“Are they? I haven’t heard much.” Barack replied
“We can’t confirm but we are pretty sure they’re being thrown into federally run jails.” John added
“I hadn’t heard this. This is horrible.”
“I’m running for President. John is my Vice Presidential nominee.”
“You’re going to lose.”
“We know. Someone has to run, someone has to make a stand.”
“I’m proud of both of you.”

Feingold and Boehner’s total conversation would last only 25 minutes with the former President before Obama insisted that he and his three agents move on to another location.

February 8, 2016 –Statement from the White House

“Today Federal officers responded to reports that disgraced Kenyan-born former President Barack Obama was in hiding in a small town in Boise, Idaho. Federal officers arrived at the home to arrest Obama for treason against the United States of America. Instead of going with Federal officers peacefully Obama and three followers opened fire on the officers.  During the firefight Obama and the three others were killed.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“We led them right to him. Saying I was devastated was an understatement. John felt worse because he felt like he could have stopped it before this whole thing started.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

After the murder of former President Barack Obama –and that’s what it was: murder—there was no mourning for the former President, at least not in public…but there was sorrow. Those who still were paying the slightest attention knew something was wrong with the report from the White House. This only increased the lack of trust people had with the Administration and each other. The Administration in the days after the murder put increased military presence in cities where rioting has been the worse. The NYSE closed its doors for the foreseeable future on March 3, 2016. It was impossible for anyone to get to Wall Street –for some time it was hard, but possible –and now it was no longer.
John by March 2016 had gone into a deep depression not only over the murder but also because Barack’s family was unheard from since. We both hope for the best. He is still campaigning with me, but he has asked his family to go into hiding as well. He asked them not to tell him where…
The time between the murder and the election went very quickly for me. I think every day was hell for John because he felt personally responsible for a lot of this but we worked through it. I can’t say I thought it was much better than he did.

Colonel Xander and a colleague– Spring 2016…

“My friend.”
“Yes?”
“The budget was passed today. It is going to hurt us.”
“They claim to be supporting national security and the military. How could they cut anymore?”
“They expect revenue to be down…they said that salaries will remain stable.”
“Where are they cutting?”
“They claim to be cutting research, but something doesn’t add up here.”
“Can you check into this more?”
“There are many aspects of the defense budget that are not public. If I try to get too many details they will get suspicious.”
“If they begin cutting the salaries of our men then that will be the last straw.”

A small gathering of the top people in Jane’s Fighters…Summer 2016

“We are extremely lucky that we have gotten this far…”
“We’re lucky to be here still..”
“Half the original team is dead…I wouldn’t call this a great success yet…”
“I agree, we can’t celebrate until the operation is carried out. “
“When will we be able to?”
“It needs to be after the election. They will be on heightened security until then. I think once they win a second term they will become a little too cocky for their own good. That’s when we will strike.”
“Does our key player know this?”
“Yes, the timing was his idea.”

News Report – September 8, 2016

“A group of terrorists calling themselves ‘Jane’s Fighters’ have killed two military officials in New York City today while in Penn Station. The Palin Administration has condemned the terrorist attack and

Two top people within Jane’s Fighters – September 8, 2016

“Who let them do this? They just blew our cover.”
“Kaspar, they went rogue –no one told them to do this. They got fed up with waiting.
“We’ll be lucky if we’re all not dead tomorrow.”

White House Press Secretary –October 1, 2016

“It is a testament to the President’s leadership and extraordinary abilities that no one has stepped up to challenge her for the Presidency. Real Americans are better off today than at any other time in history. With her reelection there will be no stopping America. Finally, real Americans will be represented the way the Founders meant for them to be.”

Campaign Rally with President Sarah Palin – October 12, 2016

“Well America, we drained the jacuzzi and we threw the bums out with the bath water. We took a good first step in when we threw out Obama and then when you elected me President in 2012 as much as the media wants you to forget that election. Tea Party Patriots won an historic victory again when we swept Congress in 2014. We the people rose up and we spoke up, and the message was we don’t want the Left’s big government agenda. We can’t afford it and we won’t pay for it. Today America is better off than we were four years ago.  I’ve kept my promise to the people who hired me and now I need your help once again to keep working for real Americans…”

2016 Presidential Election

(
)

Republican Party: President Sarah Palin of Alaska / Vice President Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania – 538 Electoral Votes – 73.6% Popular Vote
Democratic Party: Former Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin / Former Speaker John Boehner* of Ohio – 10.3% Popular Vote
Other – 16.1%

*Boehner was still technically a Republican

A reflection from a prominent political scientist on the 2016 election

There was no formal primaries or caucuses this year for the Democrats –the Party and states could not afford those luxuries. There also was no National Convention –no one had any money to give. The Republican Party had a small convention re-nominating the President and Vice President. President Palin never once mentioned her chief opposition Russ Feingold as they both campaigned. Voter turnout was at a historic low of 7% --which many pundits said was impressive given the circumstances –even since the midterm was a meager 3%.

In a concession speech that few saw the former Senator said “I could not let the party that embodies the spirit of the Founding Fathers go out without a fight. I know that their spirits stand next to me tonight, along with the spirits of former Presidents, and they’re crying. They’re not crying for my loss –they’re crying because tonight marks the death of this nation.”

PS - The timeline will continue. I know the last post makes it sound like it won't but don't you worry, it will.

2017

An excerpt from the diary of Arizona Governor Ken Bennett

They thought they had it all after the election. The first female President had won reelection unanimously in the Electoral College. Who would have ever thought to hear the words that Sarah Palin and George Washington were the two Presidents in the history of the United States to win unanimously? James Monroe didn’t even win unanimously. The corruption that this administration has gotten away with astounds me.

We can’t continue being part of this anymore. We pay taxes to the Federal government but they refuse to help us whether it’s for disaster relief or national security. In a way the Federal government should be like insurance. What is the point of paying into it when a situation comes for them to pay out and they don’t? Seems pretty silly to have insurance then.

Tomorrow, January 19, the state legislature will vote to secede from the Union. We won’t take up arms against them, we don’t want a war –we just want our fair shake and we’re not getting it.

A conversation between Colonel Xander and a US Army General

“Colonel good to see you, come on in and sit down.”
“Thank you sir.”
“Let me tell you these Washington bureaucrats have me all heated up.”
“Over what sir?”
“Some baloney about not being able to pay any of us in 2017, but I’m sure its just some mistake –it’ll clear up.”
“Glad to hear that you still have confidence in the Administration sir.”
“Don’t you Colonel?”

A conversation between California Governor Mark Wyland and his budget director

“Governor, I think you should call the legislature back immediately.”
“Eh? Why is that Gwen?”
“Well, we have done a great job of reigning in California’s spending…”
“…there’s nothing to spend…”
“and that has allowed us to see some problems…”
“…What are you getting at?”
“The Administration is about to run out of money to pay for all the military…literally…”
“I hope you’re not talking to people about this, you’ll get us both killed.”
“No, no sir, there’s a rumor…”
“I don’t want to know. You want me to call the legislature back to session based on a rumor?”
“Well, I found a way we can cut some bare bones spending on our end and pay all military in California –salaries at least…not their entire salary but most of it…”
“Go get some sleep. This budget stuff has gotten you a little crazy.”

January 19, 2017 –Chief of Staff to President Sarah Palin and an aide

“Sir, the Arizona State Legislature just voted to secede from the Union.”
“I heard. Let them think we won’t do anything, but we’ll handle this swiftly after the inauguration. They won’t last long.”

January 20, 2017 –President Sarah Palin, excerpt from her second inaugural address

“Thank you America, we did it again. Thanks to you we will have four more years of leadership that doesn’t bow to the lamestream media. Leadership that stands up for real Americans. Leadership that fights for real American values…”

“…You expected me to go to Washington for the right reason and not to just mingle with the right people. You thought that politics isn’t just a game of clashing parties and competing interests. You wanted me to challenge the status quo, to serve real Americans and to leave this nation better than we found it…”

“…Today I can tell you this –you sent me to Washington for the right reasons and we kicked the bums out. Every single career politician who was in Washington to boost their resume –we sent them home. Our common sense approach made the only party in Washington the Republican Party because we challenged the status quo by serving real Americans and not the pockets of special interests. Today, I can tell you this –America is better…”

“..and America can only keep getting better. The real America is back, and its here to stay.”

January 21, 2017 –Statement from the New York Governor’s Office

“A few moments ago Lieutenant Governor Richard Fontana succeeded Greg Edwards as Governor of the State of New York after a sudden departure from the governorship.”

January 21, 2017 –Kaspar Gunter, leader of Jane’s Fighters, to a few other supporters

“This is very good people. They really didn’t call it an assassination? This is excellent work. Thanks you to we have managed to get this far. The incident a few months ago, luckily, did not stop us. It was sheer luck that the incident did not stop us –don’t for a second let your guard down. We must keep fighting. Today is a victory, but it is only a small one. We must continue on. Soon, soon –we will restore the Union and show this administration what it feels like to watch your loved ones die.”

Flashback

November 8, 2016 – A conversation between David Millband, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and his wife

“David, will you be calling President Palin on her reelection victory tonight?”
“I haven’t been following the election results, did she really?”
“Yes, she won the entire Electoral College, as if she was unopposed. They’re calling her the next female George Washington.”
“And she has governed like George Washington in every manner…”
“Do you really think so?”
“Yes, she brought prosperous times to America and the world…we should all be thankful for her steadfast leadership…”
“Your sarcasm is unmatched”
“I’m resigning.”
“That’s what I was talking about.”
“Oh, I’m serious. I have tendered my resignation to the queen.”
“Why didn’t you talk to me about this?”
“You mean you don’t want me at home more?”

November 10, 2016 --  two journalists, the same two who had previously spoken together in South Sudan, Africa

“I just came from the governing council. They are deeply concerned about the reelection of Palin. They are glad that America will continue to not be a negative influence upon Africa but they are worried as to what her reelection means for the world.
“When Obama was elected the world had hope…now we have a new hope.”
“Yes, the governing council is finalizing the constitution for the African state.”
“How does it look?”
“There are many areas where they are widespread agreement…especially in regards to what current nations will have to be entered into the nation slowly. Morocco has recently…come around…shall we say…on the constitution.”
“The revolts did that?”
“That is the rumor. Their people are dying and this represents a new hope for all of us…when they found out that Morocco had declined to be part of the governing council…they rebelled. Since Morocco has joined the council.”

December 3, 2016 – Excerpts of a diary found in Rio De Janerio, Brazil thought to be owned by a young Brazillian woman in her 20s

“It is worse than ever here…we only travel by night when they cannot see us…the city is broken into territories…its not safe…the territories are scattered and meshed together…there is no rhyme or reason…they are constantly changing…the regular people of Brazil are often given the choice of taking sides or being killed…many refuse and try to live their lives…but refusal is not the answer…the police are useless…they go to guard their families and loved ones…they have no loyalty to the people they were supposed to serve…”

January 23, 2017 – Budget Committee Chairman Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin speaking to the Executive Office of Budget & Management Director

“These numbers don’t add up.”
“Sir, everything is in order.”
“No, its not. This really does not add up.”
“Mr. Chairman, I assure you…”
“..and I’m assuring you that they don’t add up…”
An aide to Representative Ryan chimes in on the conference call
“Look, you put the numbers down for how much we need to spend. Your revenues don’t add up, you’re running a deficit. At this rate, we’re not paying our military anything…well…after this week.

January 23, 2017 – Office of the Chief of Staff to the President – Conversation between the Chief of Staff and FBI Director Chuck Landrieu

“Chuck good to see you.”
“You as well.”
“How did the operation go in Arizona?”
“Not well. They fought back, we were unsuccessful.”
“Bring in the big guns, alright? The President wants this to be over quickly. Her vacation home is in Arizona afterall.”

From the diary of California Governor Mark Wyland looking back on January 24, 2017

“We were lucky that Sean looked into the rumors because they turned out to be true. The federal government was about to lower the salaries of all military officials again –and they weren’t happy about it. We didn’t bring the federal government’s attention to it –no that would have put as all in danger. Instead I called back the legislature and we cut virtually everything until we were able to pay military officials in California their current wage…we were the only lucky ones in the country to foresee this…and we barely got it done looking back on it.

January 25, 2017 – Carl Xander talking to a few fellow Colonels.

“None of us are happy about this.”
“Damn straight we’re not f#!king happy!”
“We can’t be put to the side anymore.”
“We put our lives on the line for these people and they just take and take and take”
“We need to stop this.”
“Friends, we will stop this. We will rise up. The Founding Fathers never meant for us to be treated like this.”

February 5, 2017

“Did you get the emails?”
“Yes, we have them.”
“Lets do it”

February 6, 2017 – A Lt. Colonel’s memory of this particular morning…

“I woke up to gunshots. My roommate, a fellow soldier, ran into our room and shut the door. He said there was an insurrection in our compound and that word had quickly spread via telecommunications and email that certain leaders in the military were fighting back against the Palin Administration. He told me we needed to help support our General, who had maybe 20 or 30 other soldiers following him…the two hundred at the base had turned against him…by the time we left our quarters it was all over. Our General surrendered the base saying that he realized he was outnumbered and didn’t want a single American hurt or killed. He was a good man…

February 6, 2017 – Oval Office

“Who is General Xander?!” screamed the President at her Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Army
“He is a renegade army colonel, he promoted himself to General when they rebelled…we are working to put down the insurrection.” Replied the Chief of Staff
“Mrs. President –its no surprise that the troops feel unappreciated, they are stretched thin and their pay was lower than ever..”
“Those men are supposed to be patriots but when you take up arms against America then you’re just as bad as a terrorist.” Palin scolded the Secretary of the Army
“Madam President –these men, they are not terrorists…”
“Darn tootin they are terrorists! We need to take them out, Alistair…” the President pointed to the Secretary of the Air Force
“Yes, Madam President?”
“You said earlier we still had control of the vast majority of the airforce….take out the rebels or whatever you want to call them.”
“Madam President, I think we risk losing airmen to their cause if we order Americans to fire on Americans…”
“That’s an order, Alistair. I didn’t ask you a question.”
“Yes, Madam President.”

The Chief of Staff and two secretaries leave the Oval. Outside of the Oval Office the Chief of Staff turns to them “You two better damned well know whats good for you, follow the President’s orders or you’ll end up like Dauugard.”

Somewhere in New York

“This is an opening for us.”
“Indeed, this is better than we could ever have hoped.”
“Lets roll out.”

A recording by General Carl Xander distributed to the media

“My fellow Americans. For the entirety of the Palin Administration, we, your protectors –the military of the United States have been abused by President Palin and Congress. The politicians in Washington are out of touch with what their policies are doing. For years the military has been stretched thin, for years soldiers have gone with little pay and little time seeing their families. For years soldiers have been asked to commit atrocities that break any moral code.

Today is the beginning of the end for the atrocities against those who give their lives for the American way. Today the Armed Forces of America rise up against the Palin Administration to squash these egregious violations –and we ask all Americans to rise up with us to stop the Palin Administration. The time for the military having a strong voice in government is long overdue –and from now on our voice will be heard.”

I wonder what's going to happen between Jane's Fighters, the Palin Administration and General Xander....and of course, similiar things might be going on overseas. I'm surprised there isn't the resurrection of the Reich or Soviet Union or some other combination of Right-Wing or Left-Wing regimes rolling across the world. This could actually be an interesting precursor to WWIII where most, if not all, sovreign nations are destroyed and replaced by various right-wing (Islamists in Asia, White Supremicists in Europe, Dominionists in the The Americas) and various Communists/Socialists and Anarchists throughout much of the more populated parts of the West Coast, Northeast, Europe and East Asia...sort of think of 1984, but a politically more polarized world between left and right..or this could be the precursor to a large nuclear war that causes the Controllers to take reins in the Ford Wars (Brave New World).

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

When Carl Xander rebelled he counted his chickens before they hatched. The faction loyal to Xander styled themselves “The Armed Forces of America” but what ended up joining them within a month of the civil war was about 70% of the United States Army, 85% of the Marine Corps, 43% of the Navy and only about 17% of the Air force.

The Secretary of the Air force, Alistair Richmond gave orders not to shoot any American rebel without blood on his fingers –a direct violent of President Palin’s orders. Alistair Richmond would ultimately be “removed” from office and killed –but his successor, a strong Palin supporter, managed to lose many of those who had pledged to stay on under Richmond.

March 3 – Press Conference with California Governor Mark Wyland

“My staff saw the problem that the Palin Administration has had with respecting the military coming way in advance. It is why there is no fighting here in California. We have been working with military officials in California for weeks on making sure that they were paid and on today’s announcement. It is clear that the Palin Administration has broken its solemn oath to the American people. The Palin Administration has killed countless Americans –more than we will ever know –and it has to stop. Today, with the hope that American can come back together in peace and unity, California breaks all ties with the United States of America and stands as a sovereign nation under God.”

March 4 – President Ken Bennett of the American Nation of Arizona and an aide

“Sir, I think we should reach out to Governor Wyland…”
“President Wyland now.”
“Well, we could join..”
“We need to work with California to get supplies…they can call it humanitarian aid…we cannot actively fight the United States in an offensive war…we must preserve ourselves until the Union rights itself…and then we can rejoin them…”
“Yes sir.”

March 15, 2017 – Chief of Staff to President Palin

The Chief of Staff answers the phone “Tom Cole here.”
“Tom, its Sarah. Why am I hearing that California is rebelling?”
“Madam President, this happened just moments ago…”
“Tom, I want them dealt with and I want them dealt with now.”
“Madam President, they are mobilized and ready…we need to deal with Xander first…”
“Tom, I want everyone in the Situation Room in ten minutes.”
“Yes, Madam President.”

April 2017 – Various Associated Press News Report

"President Sarah Palin today called California's actions an act of war and treason. Palin has repeatedly said that a declaration of war is not needed because the United States "does not recognize California, AFA or Arizona" as sovereign nations.

“United States forces clashed with the Armed Forces of America just east of the Texas-Louisiana border today…US forces were en route to recapture a base near Baton Rogue when AFA forces intercepted them…US forces retreated after two hours of fighting…”

“US forces suffered another loss today losing a key naval base in Virginia…

”Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey today refused to nationalize the New Jersey National Guard…the Palin Administration had planned to send New Jersey troops farther south to defend Washington DC against AFA forces…

”The battle lines have been drawn in the civil war between the USA and the AFA. The AFA has near complete control of Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Hawaii, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virgina…Arizona remains independent of the United States and AFA has pledged not to turn its eyes on the ex-American state. Oregon and Washington have joined the American Nation of California although control over Oregon is hotly contested between US and ANC forces…AFA has no formal relationship with ANC nor has its chief officers commented on the newly formed nation…”

May 1, 2017 – From a diary of an American citizen

”Fighting has become more intense in the past few days. My family and I evacuated our neighborhood and now we are up in the hills miles out from our town…we can see down into the valley and control has gone back and forth between Palin’s forces and Xander’s…I can’t imagine anyone being worse than Palin…I really hope Xander pulls through…

May 5, 2017 – Associated Press Report

”The Palin Administration has been hammering Xander’s forces from the skies….the Armed Forces of America failed to secure the support of the Air Force when they rebelled against the United States…at least one former general says that this mistake may cost them their entire campaign...”[/b]

May 8, 2017 – Governor Richard Fontana, New York State Legislature Chambers

“Too many New Yorkers have died for the Palin Administration –an Administration that has also taken the lives of many New Yorkers. Take the case of Jane. We’ve all heard Jane’s story so far –from those people that the Palin Administration have labeled terrorists. They’re not terrorists. They’re patriots fighting back against the tyranny of the Palin Administration...”

“If you haven’t heard about Jane let me tell you about her. She is a little girl. Her parents planned to take control back from the authoritarian Palin Administration, and for simply discussing their ideas –they were slaughtered in front of her very eyes…This is not the America our Founding Fathers had envisioned. This is not the America of George Washington, of Abraham Lincoln, of Theodore Roosevelt –this is not the America of Herbert Hoover or Franklin Roosevelt…this is not the America of John Kennedy or Ronald Reagan…this is not the America of George Bush or Barack Obama…this is the America that Sarah Palin has envisioned. An America where the government is above the law, and the law against the people…

All those present of the New York State Legislature who stand with me, in cutting all ties with the United States of America until the Constitution is restored, and forming the sovereign Nation of New York stand with me and say “Aye” in a voice acclamation.”

In a thunderous roar the chamber responds “Aye” and cheering ensues.”

May 8, 2017 – the Oval Office with President Palin, Chief of Staff Tom Cole and Chuck Landrieu Director of the FBI

“You told me Fontana was in our pocket. You told me that he was our plant.”
“Madam President, he was. We had him checked and everything…something must be wrong.”
“Something is wrong because New York just rebelled…How can you two let the nation fall apart like this? If we lose one more state, then you’re both out of here.” the President scowled

Okay man. I'm addicted. I need more. This is one of the single greatest things I've ever read. I'm wondering, with the Air Force, does Palin control America's ICBMs? And with regional divisions, are any under the control of other nations (in and out of the US)?

The AFA has said no weapons of mass destruction will be used on their own people (Americans) and the Palin Administration would say that "all options are on the table."

So the West coast is essentially controlled by California correct?

Essentially, yes.

I wonder what's happening elsewhere. I bet the Scottish, Flemmish Basque, and the various Italian and German city states are vying for autonomy at this point...and I bet there's a renewed Cvil War in China and Korea and there's various warlords in the Middle East and India. I'm amazed no one has brought out the big bombs..

May 10, 2017 – Statement from President Palin

“It is with much regret that I accept Vice President Tom Corbett’s resignation today. Due to the crisis that our nation is in it is important that we keep succession to the Presidency orderly and the Vice Presidency should not go vacant for long. Therefore I am nominating FBI Director Chuck Landrieu to the Vice Presidency of the United States. I expect Congress to confirm him within the next 48 hours.”

Somewhere in Washington DC

“How’d you do it?”
“Well, we are protecting them after all. Gram gave up control over the Secret Service years ago.”

May 11, 2017 – Statement from the Speaker’s Office

“I am pleased to announce that after the Senate’s unanimous approval on President Palin’s nominee for the Vice Presidency, the House has also consented unanimously by voice vote.”

Kaspar Gunter, leader of Jane’s Fighters, speaking to his top supporters

“The ascension of Landrieu to the vice presidency is very concerning. He is too close to the presidency and he is already too powerful. We must work harder to take him out.”

“Kaspar, our resources are spread thin, we are enemies of Palin and Xander. They have labeled us a terrorist organization…”

“The AFA is not a threat to us. Their posturing to us is merely rhetorical, but Chuck Landrieu and the  Palin Administration will murder every last one of us if we don’t stop them first.”

June 1, 2017 – Local News Report

“Janes Fighters, the group that the Palin Administration has labeled a terrorist organization and self described freedom fighters, have claimed responsibility for at least 15 attacks around the nation in the past month. All the attacks were in USA controlled territory at the time and against military or government targets…”

June 2, 2017 – Oval Office

President Palin to her secretary “Could you send in Chuck and Tom? Thanks”

Minutes later Vice President Chuck Landrieu and Chief of Staff Tom Cole enter the Oval Office.  Landrieu is followed by three men in suits.

“Extra protection today, Chuck?”
“Yes Madam President, we live in perilous times.”
“So, I heard that we lost Vermont to New York and we lost 500 of our bravest in a fight today in West Virginia?”
“Madam President, we lost our last bastion of control in West Virginia to Xander.”
“Don’t you dare utter that name in this room.”
Chief of Staff Tom Cole butts in “Madam President, we need to start thinking about moving to a more secure location.”
“More secure? This is the most secure place in the world. IF you don’t feel safe here then leave.” The President rebutted.
“I told you she wouldn’t go for that, Tom.” The Vice President piped in.
“Madam President, its in the country’s best interest that we move you. We have several locations in Pennsylvania and Ohio that you will find accommodating.” Tom tried again
“My decision is final, I am not moving. Ronald Reagan wouldn’t have fled the capital in tough times and neither will I. You two are buffoons to think that these unpatriotic bastards ---“ the President stopped short and her eyes widened as the Vice President pulled a gun out from under his blazer and pointed it at the President. “Chuck, what in Gods name are you ---Secret Service!” the President shrieked backing into her desk and nearly toppling over.

The three agents in the room with the President, Vice President and Chief of Staff  turned and looked at the Vice President.

“Well you heard the lady. Get it done with.”
Without hesitation the tallest agent out of the three fired his gun and the President fell flat on the floor, blood staining the desk and carpet.

The Chief of Staff turned to the three agents “Get the secretary, take care of her too.” Then he turned to Landrieu. “Mr. President, did we take care of the family?”

“Its been done. Lets get started.”

Statement from the White House – June 2, 2017

“It is with great sadness that we tell the American people that President Sarah Palin and her family were killed today in an accident while traveling to Camp David in a helicopter. The helicopter’s engine stalled midflight and then crashed. Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days Vice President Chuck Landrieu was sworn in as President within moments of finding out about the crash. President Landrieu sends his deepest sympathies to the American people and to the Palin family…”

General Xander’s makeshift office – June 2, 2017

“It seems that the right hand of Palin is now in the presidency…it will be much harder for us now, this is a cruel and unmerciful man.”

Kaspar Gunter on Palin’s death

“The fight is not over. This is another dictator in the guise of a legitimate President…Landrieu must go.”

June 3, 2017 – The Situation Room

“Mr. President, Washington DC is in danger of being taken by AFA forces.”
“I read the briefing. We need drastic action to stop these rebels. What is your suggestion General?”
“We call it Operation Thundering Eagle. It is an all out aerial strike on several high value AFA targets.”
“Good. I want you to also hit the hospitals in the region.”
“Sir, there will be innocent…”
“There are no innocent people among the rebels. Anyone aiding the rebels is an enemy of the United States. Make sure that all branches of the military observe this.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“After Landrieu took power things only got worse. Most didn’t think things could get worse –highest levels of unemployment and inflation in history, the dissolution of the Federal Reserve and giving Congress complete control over monetary policy, nuclear weapons around the world unsecured and a civil war here at home…

In the past ten years many thought that China would be the next superpower. Today, China is little more than a multisided civil war, India and central Asian has broken down into ethnic fighting and Israel stands alone as Arab nations in the Middle East kill one another. The closest thing to prosperity can be seen in Africa where they have formed the beginnings of an African nation. Time will only tell if this new nation will last…

…as for the United States…things only got worse. After Landrieu took power California was joined by Nevada and Idaho which the United States and Armed Forces of America are actively contesting. Tensions have risen between the AFA and California over the ownership of these two states but Xander has backed down from his claim on those states for now…

Landrieu’s forces and capital have relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Midwest seems to be the last bastion of support for Landrieu who has now killed thousands upon thousands of innocent people in his carpet bombing of enemy-controlled territory.

July 4, 2017 – Statement from the Executive Office of the President

Interview with Shelly Lannington of Nashville, TN about July 2017

“The US Army had been patrolling Nashville for some time…well, I shouldn’t say patrolling. Occupying is probably a better word. They set curfews, checked anyone who crossed their path and there were countless missing people and violent encounters with them in the street. Some of the violence was warranted on the part of the Army, like when they were attacked by protesters –other times they would beat or kill innocent civilians…on July 4 Xander’s forces and the US Army clashed in Nashville.  We all hid in our basements as gunfire wizzed by our houses and through windows.
When the AFA ultimately took the city, we were overjoyed. We had heard Xander’s speech on the radio and we heard rumors about them treating people well over the border in Alabama. After they took over, the US air force tried to turn the city to rubble –they bombed houses, leveled the hospital, and they reigned hell upon the city the entire night. Xander’s air force did respond but it was too little and too late.
Reality was very different than what we imagined. Over the next few days there were reports of people missing; AFA soldiers raping women, and the same kind of tactics that the US forces used were still being used against us. That’s really when I lost all hope...”

August 11, 2017 – Various Media Excerpts

“…new reports of violence in AFA controlled areas….AFA territory is completely military controlled …General Xander has denied requests to begin the process of setting up local civilian governments in the least contested areas…”

“…US forces retreat from Kentucky and Tennessee…AFA takes control…”

“…Washington DC falls to AFA forces…President safe in Pittsburgh…calls General Xander a “traitor to the American people.””

“…US forces won’t give up losing battle in Utah…”

“Supreme Court Justice Allen West calls the Armed Forces of America “anti-American and anti-Constitution…”

“…Connecticut joins New York…AFA condemns the move calls it “counterproductive to reuniting America”…”

“…tensions on California-AFA border…shots fired…”

What's left of the Industrial world might want to preserve their "strategic interests".

...though I am pretty sure that Mexico (in fact all of Latin America) has fallen to a patchwork of socialist "Pueblos", Catholic and Pentacostal "Missions" , military juntas and drug rings and that most of the major cities in Canada are pretty much abandonned and all that's left there are a few frontier towns, the French and the oil cartels out west. Maybe Jane's Fighters will ally with the former while the AFA or USA allies with the latter.

Well, I think the AFA is going to be hit hard, and set way way back, but not be wiped out.  The USA will be less damaged, and gain the upper hand for a few months as a result.  California will have some breathing room while those two fight.  Who California will face I'm not sure though.

Excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

One of the worst days I’ve lived through, worse than 9/11 even, was September 2nd 2017 when President Chuck Landrieu ordered the atomic bombing of high priority AFA military bases.
Many nuclear warheads had been moved to the areas that Landrieu’s forces controlled Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, etc. At least 25 nuclear warheads were armed and unable to be seized from USA forces in AFA territory. Forces loyal to the USA in these cases had threatened to detonate or fire the missile if AFA forces advanced –and General Xander was not willing to call them on that.

On September 1st Landrieu gave the order to those still loyal in AFA territory to detonate the missiles they had control over. 20 of these failed, 3 detonated in the ground which still had their own consequences –one west of Salt Lake City, another in Wyoming and the third between Helena and Billings in Montana. The final two of those 25 were launched. One failed and exploded over the Atlantic Ocean –its trajectory was unknown –and the other hit Raleigh, North Carolina.

If that was all that was launched that day, I’d be telling a different story. The ICBMs and missiles that Landrieu’s forces had full control over were deadly, and Xander had prepared for an all out nuclear assault. 7 nuclear warheads hit and detonated—another 45, some say higher, were either shot down, failed to launch, or failed to detonate on impact. One of the missiles that failed to detonate on impact sits squarely in the middle of Manhattan. It was as good as a detonation since thousands died as they fled New York and the surrounding region in a panic.

One missile hit Xander’s forces in each Missouri, Kentucky and Virginia while a fourth hit missed its intended target and hit a civilian area in Iowa. The fifth hit outside of Austin, Texas –wiping out part of the city and most of the suburban area west of the city and what was General Xander’s headquarters that had been evacuated days earlier. The sixth hit a naval base in Louisiana while the seventh hit Washington DC –a move by Landrieu to destroy any information that would hurt the USA.
In total, 11 nuclear missiles detonated on civilian or military populations on September 1st. The numbers affected by this genocide against the American people is too high to relive.

September 2nd 2017 – The diary of a teenage soldier in Checyna

“It is today we gain our freedom. The murders in the Kremlin have signed in their own blood the freedom of my nation. They will not soon forget the price for what they did to us. They will not forget the Siberians or the Turkic peoples or the Tatars…our great leader has promised us elections in the coming day and I look forward to participating in a Checyna without the Russian plague.”

September 2nd 2017 –Conversation between two reporters –or wannabe reporters…

“I believe this is the first time in history that there is no France”
“There was no France at some point you know”
“You can’t prove that, there is no internet or Wikipedia anymore for you to look that up.”
“That is true, but you know that you’re lying.”
“So what? I can write my own new history. People will believe it.”
“I will tell them otherwise.”
“What is happening now is already unbelievable, embellishing will just be fun.”
“I wouldn’t call any of whats happening fun.”
“This new nation of ‘Amal’ a Muslim democracy. Unbelievable already.”
“But it is true. The new nations name means ‘hope’ in Arabic. They aren’t an Islamic nation you realize...”
“They all become theocracies at some point, don’t they?”
“Is this more of your embellishing?”
“I won’t have to embellish this one. Its going to fail miserably. French, German, Flemish, Dutch Muslims --this small nation on the northern coast of Europe is going to go down in spectacular colors of flames and I will write about it.”
“Once again, they’re not all Muslim…they have a significant amount of Christian---“
“It began as people with a common identity coming together…sure they let a few others in later…”
“You realize how pessimistic and arrogant you sound?”
“I’m just being realistic. I heard they’re shipping in Albanians too!”
“There’s no way a mass exodus could occur in the warzone that is the Balkans.”
“Oh sure, call me the pessimist…”
“Eastern Europe has been ravaged by war –Western Europe is better off but not by much. At least you can still get one place to another with only half of your entourage getting killed.”
“I heard of some safe routes”
“You’re full of crap.”

September 2nd, 2017 – General Xander’s base outside of Topeka, Kansas

“General, the damage is not as bad as we expected.”
“13 hits, correct Lieutenant?”
“Yes General.”
“I would not call this ‘good’ either. Make sure that everyone knows we are following War Plan RAP.”

September 3rd, 2017 – Media headlines

So that's like half of St.Louis and Austin and all of  Washington DC and Raleigh. That's what? 4 million people? have any other nuclear weapons gone off it other countries? I guessing that though the US's involvement in the Global Civil War has been only six months old, probably more people have died in it around the world than both world wars combined.

I'll address each country's nuclear arsenal.

India - Secure, for the most part. The military has maintained control even though the country is fragmented. The military has also threatened to detonate the nuclear weapons if approached.

Pakistan - Some were secured by India, others weren't. Intelligence on where they are now does not exist.

China - Nuclear arsenal is relatively secure because all sides of its civil war have them. Should the Chinese feel safer b/c of that?  Nope.

Israel - Secure

France - The French nuclear arsenal was dismantled before the country fragmented.

United Kingdom - Secure

Russia - Checynan rebels nuked Moscow, nuclear arsenal is not secure.

So that's what? 12 million people dead in one day. Civil Nuclear War... fun...

I am guessing this is still the tip....I see this timeline where by 2050 the world resembles Brave New World when some post-apocalyptic power "liberates" the world or Fallout New Vegas, where there are a few succesor states and very large organized gangs that fight over control of what the future will look like.

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“In the immediate days after 9/2/2017 many who had hoped Xander would defeat Landrieu had second thoughts as Xander’s forces retreated west and south and USA forces moved forward –the bulk of their strength going south.

The nuclear attack was not without repercussion for Landrieu. Many in the Midwest who still believed in America –or at least had not outwardly rebelled—were now up in arms. Landrieu’s men began to arm local --what amounted to—warlords to keep the populace in line.

The nuclear attacks near Virginia and in North Carolina shook their people’s faith that the AFA was the right answer for them –but the opposite happened in New England which was spared of a nuclear detonation.

Many diaries that I have read of people in AFA controlled territory since that day note that the Xander’s promises dried up. First the aid came to their cities in large quantities and after that it quickly dried up –until only unfulfilled promises remained to the citizens in the Armed Forces of America’s territory….but many thought of Xander more highly than Landrieu –if they thought of the nation at all.

September 8, 2017 – Transmission from General Xander to his top generals

“All troops are to move south of any areas in which a nuclear bomb was detonated and forbidden from being due east.”

September 9, 2017 – War Room, President Landrieu and other top officials.

“Mr. President, AFA forces are retreating, it seems our nuclear attack has scared them.”
“Good, I want all our forces to follow them –hunt them down and kill them. No traitor will go unpunished.”
“Sir, they out number us –this does not seem like a good idea –“
“They are retreating, they know our air forces are superior, we have them running now is the time to strike.”
The Secretary of the Air Force interjects “Sir, the radiation –“
“The radiation won’t be an issue” Landrieu cuts off his Secretary. “Hunt them down.”
“Yes Mr. President.”

California Free Press - September 9, 2017

“Earlier today United States Secretary of Defense Rudy Giuliani was captured in the last area of America control in Idaho. Giuliani had been dispatched by President Palin to the western front prior to the accident that killed her and her family. Since then, his whereabouts had been unknown.

The California Attorney General has announced that Giuliani will be charged in California. The Armed Forces of America have already requested for Giuliani to be extradited, as well has the American Nation of New York –all claiming Giuliani’s citizenship. President Mark Wyland has called the claims “baseless.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“The Armed Forces of America continue their retreat into the fall and winter of 2017. Landrieu’s forces pursued them but Landrieu aggression and nearsightedness led to his own forces withering away.
The areas controlled by the United States of America were mostly landlocked, and supplies were hard to come by. The Canadians had refused to help any side of the Second American Civil War so the United States, its people and its military began to starve, however; Landrieu did not realize it was not merely starvation killing his own troops.

Then the real issue becomes is if the only major country left standing in the world 1) has a revolution, 2) breaks up, or 3) unites the country, if not the world, under a right-wing military junta that basically brings forth a second Feudal Age.

Conversation between two reporters – December 18, 2017

“You read the memo from AFA HQ?”
“Yeah, we’re not to address Landrieu as “President” anymore.”
“What do you think?”
“I don’t know…it’s a step closer to the policies that we’re fighting against.”
“I thought so too, but maybe they’re just trying to draw a contrast.”
“Is that guy even constitutionally the President?”
“Well, the power resides with him, and it resides with Xander. Both of them weren’t elected.”
“One dictator or the other?”
“More or less.”

An interview between a documentarian and a father in Missouri, in a town that has repeatedly gone back and forth between USA and AFA control – December 20, 2017

“Thank you for taking the time to sit down with me, I know its hard for you –“
“Not like we can go into town today anyway, the gunlord that Landrieu has in there will shoot on sight.”
“Why are they doing that? Don’t you need to go to town to buy…?”
“Well, its not like they sell much over there anymore, and its not like we can afford much. What people are left will go in to town to trade with others,  commodities is the currency here…”
“So why’d do they want to keep people out of town?”
“Don’t want us rioting, don’t want us assembling. They think since we were in AFA territory we’re all loyal to them now.”
“To be honest, I’m loyal to whoever is going to protect us and end the war.”
“Did AFA did that when they were here?”
“At first, they gave us supplies, food, aid, but then it quickly dwindled and as it became more sparse, their forces became more strict…more restrictions on what we could and couldn’t do…”
“Was there a real difference between the USA forces and AFA forces?”
“Yeah, the AFA forces weren’t killing randomly…there was violence still…they acted more like occupiers than liberators…the USA forces, well, they put these local gunlords in power…that was scarier for us than the AFA…you knew how to avoid trouble with the AFA…”

January 3, 2018 – Canadian Prime Minister Maxime Bernier’s Office

“Prime Minister, President Landrieu is asking for humanitarian assistance from us once again –this time they are threatening us with military action.”
“They do not have the capacity to hurt us. The minute they raise a hand to Canada is the minute Xander topples Landrieu. They know that.”
“Sir, their forces are on our border, they do still have nuclear weapons.”
“They used all the weapons they had access to, they are bluffing, and NORAD records confirm it.”
“Should we move troops sir?”
“No, Landrieu won’t advance. We’ve managed to keep Canada together with minimal uprisings throughout this…I’m surprised we managed to quell the radical Quebec movements concerns…but we’ve done it. We’ll beat back Landrieu if we have to as well.
“Are you worried about Xander?”
“Not yet.”

War Room – President Chuck Landrieu, Secretary of Defense George Rushbolt, Chief of Staff Tom Cole and other military officials  – January 5, 2018

“Force depletion report, Colonel.” The Secretary of Defense asked of an aide.
“Sir, our forces are depleting much more quickly than anticipated. Since our advance into the AFA occupied zones, we  have seen an increase in casualties…” the aide replied
“You have casualties in war, this isn’t new. How close are we to taking Xander out?” the President interrupted
“Sir, these aren’t normal battlefield casualties.” The aide squeaked
“What are they then?”
“Our forces rarely encounter combat with Xander’s…they have been retreating into areas not affected with radiation…that’s why ours are dying…they’re getting radiation poisoning…”
“Radiation? Why didn’t you tell me about this earlier?” Landrieu looked to his Chief of Staff
“Sir, you’ve disregarded the depletion memos up until now, you’ve disregarded the advice of people who have disagreed with you…” one of Landrieu’s top generals spoke up.
“Since when do you think you can talk to me like that?” Landrieu grew angry and red.
“Mr. President, at this point we have no hope of winning this. The best we can do is surrender and get our men the medical attention that they need and des –“ as the General attempted to finish his sentence the President pulled his sidearm and shot the General in his steps.
“Anyone else have a complaint about our strategy?” the President asked

Armed Forces of America Headquarters – January 10, 2018

“We’ve just gotten the orders from above. Operation Swooping Eagle is a go.”
“Excellent.”

Media Reports – late January 2018, early February 2018

“AFA forces are rolling back USA advances in the past few months. AFA has publicly released maps, now that they are on the advance, of areas that people should avoid that are affected by nuclear radiation. They “risk zones” are divided into extreme, high, medium, low and negligible.

“As AFA forces advanced back towards the nuclear affected areas, Xander ordered the evacuation of Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. It is unclear as to who exactly controls these states which have been almost completely devastated due to the concentration of nuclear explosions in that area after the attack by the Landrieu Administration.”

“The AFA has pledged humanitarian aid to anyone evacuating the nuclear-states (North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia) on their southern border. So far reports of humanitarian aid actually being there have been scarce.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“The southern border of the United States was increasingly disruptive as the Mexican people fought their own civil war between powerful organizations that originally formed around drug trade. The legitimate government had fallen after US illegal drug consumption dropped dramatically, and as a result the US stopped being the primary buyer of Mexican drugs. Competition grew exponentially and violence erupted all over Mexico. The government, which was already close to being a failed state, tried to stop it but the fight was too big for them. Now Mexico was being fought over between gangs that had only the interest of their own at heart –and profit.”

Their Central American neighbors were not faring much better, however; Canada took the title of the most democratic nation on earth.

At home, as the AFA forces pushed back Landrieu’s forces to the last three states that they still had control over – Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. As the war drew to what everyone thought was a close, tensions between the independent American states and the Armed Forces of America heated up.

The nuclear attacks, the radiation poisoning, and incredible levels of dissent within the USA territories made the AFA offensive easier than anyone could have anticipated

By the time spring rolled around, everyone knew that Landrieu had lost the war, but what no one knew was if Xander had won.

April 1, 2018 – Pittsburgh Citizen’s recollection of that day

“Yeah, I remember April 1, 2018. We call that day the beginning of the end around here. One of Xander’s infantry units had taken the city about a day or two before –came and searched my home they did, and others too. They were looking for Landrieu, they couldn’t find him. They knew he was somewhere in Pittsburgh. Xander offered the forces still loyal to Landrieu a “get out of jail free” card if you will. Most of them took the offer, they went home. The ones still loyal, and they were few, fought til they were dead or captured –and the ones fighting were.

It was early in the morning on April 1st when a helicopter landed in a field outside Pittsburgh. The helicopter came for Landrieu –and I’m getting all this from what others in the city told me after –and Xander knew that Landrieu would flee –who would take him I don’t know –but Xander knew. Anyway, Xander’s guys took out the helicopter right before it took off.

Landrieu was alive when they got him.

April 2, 2018 – Statement from ‘Executive General Carl Xander of the United States of America

“It is with great happiness that today I come before the American people to tell the world that the war is over…We have triumphed over totalitarianism and the radicalism of the Palin Administration. We have triumphed over the disrespect and negligence shown to our armed forces, and we have triumphed over those opposed to democracy and our shared American values…It is today that I come to you and that the United States of America is back…but we are not complete. We owe a debt we can never pay to the lives lost, and today, I invite California, Arizona and New York to rejoin our great nation so that we can be whole once again. Only together can we move forward to prosperity.”

In my head the entire timeline is divided into four or five parts. The first part is Death of a Nation by Blackwater Nik/Psychic Octopus, the second part is my beginning up until, I would say Palin's reelection. The third part we just completed.

As I'm explaining this, I do think there will be five parts.

April 3, 2018 – Interview with former Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, in Mexico

“Governor, what do you –“
“Please, just call me Tim. Really. I don’t want to draw attention to myself…”
“Tim, thank you –what do you think of whats happening in the country right now?”
“Country? Which one?”
“The United States sir”
“There is no United States anymore. Yesterday that generalissimo, for lack of a better word, finished off what was the United States…and we have California and New York as sovereign nations…”
“What do you think is next?”
“For me? I came down to Mexico and opened up a tiki bar after I dropped out of the race for the presidency. This is where I plan to stay. This has continued to be one of the safer areas…although I don’t know how long that will last…”
“Wasn’t there a murder in broad daylight yesterday?”
“Only one. Like I said, one of the safer areas.”

Statement from President Mark Wyland of California

“Yesterday was a great victory for the forces of freedom. We have the opportunity to restore the United States now, an opportunity for us to come together again as one nation. I would like to extend an offer to General Carl Xander, and President Fontana on how to unite our nation once again. We will hold national elections in 3 months for the presidency to serve until January 20, 2021. A stipulation will be that Xander, myself and Fontana may not be candidates for the Presidency to ensure a free, fair and open democratic process…finally Xander must refrain from calling his nation the United States because it is inherently not the United States…”

Statement from President Richard Fontana of New York

“We are excited that President Wyland put forth a plan today, and we strongly endorse the plan. We will begin planning for elections immediately…we also request that General Xander refrain from beginning the trial process for the war criminals until the country is reunited…”

Statement from Executive General Xander’s Spokesperson

“We agree with the principals behind the offers from Presidents Wyland and Fontana but their timetable is much too short for us. The Executive General continues to focus on restoring order and giving humanitarian aid to the areas affected by the gruesome nuclear attacks, however; we encourage California and New York to rejoin the United States of America immediately so we can be strong once again. As for the war criminals, they will be put on trial immediately –our justice will be swift.”

Spring 2018 – An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“After Executive General Xander declined  President Wyland’s offer for national reunification hope quickly faded for those who were paying attention. Towns and villages were still run like fiefdoms by those with the most weapons –but things were changing. Changing, but in some places these warlords were driven out by military forces and then those villages were occupied by those same soldiers.

By the end of spring 2018, the “humanitarian” effort that Executive General Xander claimed was happening –was seen by few. The states affected the most by the nuclear cloud were isolated and anyone trying to leave was forbidden. Those that came down with radiation poisoning were often never heard from again.

In other parts of the country, the mouth of Xander said pleasantries, but his hands did the opposite. Those who tried to set up their own elections were silenced and those who dared to speak up soon lost their voices as well.

In California and New York, people dreaded war –but some began to see it as the only option to reunite the country –while inside the “USA” Jane’s Fighters became active once more and openly condemned Xander for betraying the trust of so many Americans. Kaspar Gunter, their leader, would lead the operation from New York.

It was a warm spring day in June 2018 when Kaspar Gunter took credit for an bombing in Xander’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. Xander would be injured in the attack, but that only incensed him more. Xander called for Gunter to be brought to justice and for New York to hand him over.  Richard Fontana, President of New York –who was put in place with Gunter’s help--, would decline to hand over his own.

Simultaneously, California would also refuse to hand over war criminal Rudy Giuliani.

The spring would also see real democratic elections held in New York, Arizona and California, where Wyland, Ken Benett, and Fontana would respectively be elected President of their sovereign nations.

On July 4th 2018, President Wyland, President Fontana and President Bennett of Arizona, would sign the “Treaty of Olympia” forming the “Cross Continental Alliance” whose sole purpose would be to reunite the United States.

On July 5th 2018, the American Nation of Dakota would secede from the “United States” and the Cross Continental Alliance would guarantee their independence. On July 6th 2018, Executive General Carl Xander had enough and invaded the American Nation of Dakota. Hours later, Dakota formally joined the CCA and North American continent plunged into another war.

[South] Dakota had its Governor assassinated earlier in the timeline, which is why they were first to go now.

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

The most interesting thing about First War of American Reunification was that Executive General Xander did not have the control he thought he had when war broke out. His military was tired, and weary of fighting, his people had no morale –were starved, and the Cross Continental Alliance –even though not militarily superior, had the wind at their backs. Their people were propelled and excited by the prospect of reuniting America, and their leaders called Xander “Dictator” in all their public comments, and created propaganda with his face blended with Hitler’s.
That’s not to say that Xander did not put up a fight. This was war, this was bloodshed, this was people dying unnecessarily –but Xander was on the defensive. The first months of the war proved to be beneficial for the Cross Continental Alliance. It is hard to say that other states joined their cause, because there was little centralized control in the states, but some groups that claimed to be legitimate Democratic governments did declare secession from Xander’s America claiming that Xander had violated the oath that the states entered the Union on –thereby voiding the contract.
The war most Americans saw was the battle to put food on the table for their family, the war against starvation, the war to simply stay alive. The people in Xander’s America were not deaf to the whispers of a better life in the sovereign American states –and it would inspire many to set up their own governments but that’s not to say Cross Continental Forces were a cure for the woes in Xander’s America.
When Cross Continental Forces took over new territory, it is hard to say that they “controlled” or even “occupied” it. The bonds that held our communities together were nearly destroyed by the past five years of decline for the United States –and world.

August 7, 2018 – Executive General Xander’s conversation with the officer holding the war criminals

“Executive General sir.”
“General. How are our prisoners?”
“In solitary confinement like you ordered sir.”
“Good. I want you to execute them publicly. We need to teach Wyland and Fontana a lesson for backstabbing the United States.”
“Sir, it would be more secure to do it in the prison, privately…”
“Do it publicly, that’s an order.”

August 8th 2018 – Media Headlines

“Xander executes Chuck Landrieu and other Landrieu administration officials. Says “as the country’s supreme justice, I have judged on behalf of the American people that these people are guilty of the highest crimes against the United States of America…”

A spokesperson for the Cross Continental Alliance condemned what they called “murders” and said “justice has not been done.”

American State of California – Green
American State of Arizona – Arizona (Gray)
American State of New York – Yellow
American State of Dakota – Blue
Armed Forces of America/United States of America – Red

Uninhabitable states due to nuclear radiation – Light blue

States that are no longer under the control of AFA/USA – Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, South Carolina (Note: This does not imply these states have a centralized government, rather it probably means that AFA/USA has little to no control over the peoples of these states)

I want to finish this soon, so I will start to wrap up in the coming updates.

Conversation between Executive General Xander and his top military advisor – September 3, 2018

“Executive General, I think it is time that we begin to consider using nuclear weapons against the CCA.”
“Do you not remember what happened to Landrieu when he used them? His use of nuclear weapons directly led to our victory over him. If we use nuclear weapons on California, the radiation would haunt us in the end as well. We cannot scorch the earth that is rightfully ours.”

An excerpt from California President Mark Wyland’s journal – September 5, 2018

I never wanted to be at war. I never wanted to feel like I was the reason peoples lives were ending…but we wage this war so that more can have the lives that we had, so more can live in the America that our ancestors dreamed of. It is that dream I hope to save, and right now, it is once again a dream –but a dream without the chance to become reality if we did not do something…

I hope we can bring this to an end swiftly and restore the Union, I hope that the past few years have not burned the fabric of American society. California is not much better off right now than Xander’s America. We have had local elections, but many areas are still threatened by record level of violence…our military being gone has not helped our fight against it.”

September 25, 2018 – Media Reports

“The Cross Continental Alliance continues its push across the continent….the Alliance is beginning to see the problems associated with control of this new American society…less dense states are easier to control but those residing there do see CCA’s control as legitimate but are more passive due to the lack of organization…the more dense areas are hard to control, unwieldy, organized and do not see the CCA as legitimate, however; the CCA is making more progress than Xander or Landrieu have…”

“Wyland and Fontana’s alliance may just be what saves this country, but the path ahead is hard…”

Call between California President Wyland and New York President Fontana

“After Xander’s fall, we must form a new Constitutional convention. We have to prepare for this.” Fontana called Wyland that evening to talk about the aftermath.
“There is no way to calm people down in some of these areas…we need order.”
“And we need order for them to be able to vote. We must give them a reason to trust us.”
“Can we provide humanitarian aide?”
“California can barely provide for itself, I do not think both of our states can provide for the rest of the nation.”
“There will need to be representatives.”
“One from every county?”
“That would be over 3,000 representatives.”
“That might be the way it has to be. One representative for each county.”
“California would be the safest place to do this.”
“Lets set a date.”

Media Outlets, October 2018

“The Cross Continental Alliance is calling for a Constitutional Convention on April 2, 2019. One representative from every county in the United States will be allowed. Military leaders will help counties select their representative along with other democratic offices in their states.”

“General Xander has condemned the CCA, saying the convention is illegitimate. Xander’s forces are retreating to Texas, where CCA forces plan on defeating Xander.”

Every county? perhaps a delegation from every state, based on 50000 in each state...for the same several thousand representatives?

San Diego Times Headline: “Xander falls, Wyland and Fontana say ‘victory is the American people’s”

New York Times: “CCA Declares Victory, Xander to be tried in Court”

New America Magazine: “Will America return?”

Associated Press: Xander’s grasp on few American states that still followed him loosened quickly as dissent rose and CCA forces advanced. CCA forces openly admit to not having complete control over every liberated, or occupied, region.

New America Press: “Why not apportion delegates by population?”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s ‘A Death of a Nation’

Wyland and Fontana’s alliance and subsequent victory was an unexpected turning point for the nation. For the first time in years things were looking up. Palin was gone, Landrieu was gone, and Xander was in jail for his crimes.

Presidents Fontana and Wyland invited John [Boehner] and I, along with our families, to move to San Francisco to help them prepare for the Constitutional Convention. We both accepted their offer. Late January we both arrived in San Francisco with our families and the CCA made John and I a critical part of what would become the Third Continental Congress. We guided and advised both Presidents along with their chief organizers at every step of the way.

By March, criticisms over the “one delegate per county” rule were loud and many. Fontana and Wyland began to doubt their decision over the rule. John and I advised them to stand by their decision –and they did. The only question we had was would they vote in-bloc as states or as individual delegates. We decided to allow all the rules and procedures to be created by the Congress and by the presiding officer. I regret this decision to this day, but even now, I see no alternative.

We also decided that John and I, along with Presidents Wyland and Fontana would recommend to the Congress that they first select a presiding officer, and then create a rules committee. The presiding officer and the rules committee should adopt rules to run the Congress by.

While we planned, the CCA made little progress elsewhere in the nation. There were still food shortages, there were still riots and there were still gangs controlling communities. The CCA did not have the resources of a united nation at its disposal but they were making progress. Worst of all, jails were overcrowded and understaffed. I know personally that Wyland stayed up awake many nights thinking of the chaos a jail break would cause –and what progress it would immediately role back.

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s ‘A Death of a Nation’

The first day of the Third Continental Congress gave me hope. Two thousand six hundred thirty eight delegates sat in our convention hall –representing 87% of all the counties in the United States covering over 98% of the population of the United States. A truly impressive feat given the circumstances. The rest of the first day, along with the second, was given to meet and greets for the delegates to meet each other.

On the third day they were assembled and a told to select a presiding officer and then they would become a self-governing body. The presiding officer, and President of the Continental Congress, would be elected by majority. The Third Continental Congress decided to elect me, in their wisdom, as their presiding officer.

After, I would assemble the Rules Committee which consisted of twenty delegates. We agreed  that I would only vote in the event of a tie. That night we stayed up late devising the rules for the convention and the mode of debate. The next morning the Convention approved the rules of debate, and went on to vote on their first question:

VOTE TWO: RESTORE THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION WITHOUT CHANGE & AS IT WERE ON JANUARY 20, 2013

Yeas: 634 (24%)
Nays: 1,899 (72%)
Abstain: 105 (4%)

It was then that I realized this process would consume me.

Sometimes in alternate history the articles of confederation form the First Republic and the constitution is the Second Republic, ala the French naming system.  This could be the Third Republic.

Can't we make this easier for ourselves? We venerate the Constitution, I think people would just want to go back to a democratic government ASAP. Only likely change I could think of is abolishing the electoral college and making the executive somewhat weaker, but those could be amendments.

From an interview with former New York President Mark Wyland

“Well, in the beginning we were all hopeful…but after Vote Three, we saw the rise of factions within the Congress…one delegate gave me his rough count of the factions at some point…”
“What were they?”
“The first one…and probably the easiest…they named themselves the Founders…these were the ones that voted Yes on Vote Three. All of them wanted the Constitution restored unchanged. Some were willing to compromise…most weren’t…”
“How many did they number?”
“Founders had around 300 in their caucus. The number changed often, it wasn’t formal. They would keep voting ‘No’ on any vote that changed a part of the Constitution.”
“What about the other 300 or so that voted Yeas on Vote Three?”
“They weren’t as reliable as the core 300 or so, but they were there, like I said this wasn’t formal…”
“So the other factions were?”
“Well, the second major one to pop up formed around Vote Four. Vote Four failed, and it was the God Caucus. They were pretty blunt about naming themselves. Vote Four would have put an amendment into the Constitution defining life at conception. It failed 63-30-7.  Russ had heard a rucus about it starting on the floor and he agreed to put it up for a vote if they didn’t put it up again. Well they reneged their part of the bargain and it went up for a vote again. There were about 500 in here.”
“Was this their only issue?”
“No, its just the one that brought them together. Russ pretty much helped them organize by letting them on the record about it. They were essentially a socially conservative Christian caucus. I don’t think they really met on economic issues.”

An excerpt from John Boehner’s diary

I’ve been watching Russ closely since he became President of the Continental Congress. He did well up until Vote Four –that was a mistake. He was tired and got overwhelmed by a small number of delegates who stormed his makeshift office. He let them put their issue to a vote and now they went from 30 to 500.

Vote Five should prove consequential though.

April 28, 2019

VOTE FIVE: The Third Constitutional Convention will create a new constitution for the United States of America.

YEA: 1,848 (70%)
NAY:  738 (28%)
ABSTAIN: 52 (2%)

VOTE SIX: GAGES THE CONGRESS’ OPINION ON  A LEGISLATURE

ORIGINAL CONSTITUION TEXT –  1,028 (38%)
ONE HOUSE ELECTED BASED ON STATE POPULATION (Eliminates Senate) WITH SINGLE MEMBER DISTRICTS – 896 (34%)
ONE HOUSE ELECTED PROPORTIONALLY BASED (By share in election IE – Democrats get 50% of votes, they get 50% of representatives etc) – 606 (23%)
NO FEDERAL LEGISLATURE –  98 (3%)
ABSTAIN/OTHER – 10 (.37%)

VOTE SEVEN: GAGES THECONGRESS’ OPINION ON AN EXECUTIVE

FEDERAL PRESIDENT WITH BROADER POWERS THAN ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION – 131 (5%)
FEDERAL PRESIDENT WITH LESS BROAD POWERS THAN ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION – 712 (27%)
FEDERAL PRESIDENT WITH ORIGINAL TEXT OF CONSTITUTION – 527 (20%)
NATIONALLY ELECTED CEREMONIAL PRESIDENT WITH EXECUTIVE DERIVING POWER FROM LEGISLATURE (Prime Minister) –  395 (15%)
CEREMONIAL MONARCH WITH EXECUTIVE DERIVING POWER FROM LEGISLATURE (Prime Minister) –  263 (10%)
NO FEDERAL PRESIDENT – 342 (13%)

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

Vote Seven was the most concerning to me and in a way the least surprising. 65% of the Congress wanted to completely strip, dismantle, or limit the powers of the Presidency. Only 5% wanted to broaden it, and the rest wanted the status quo.

I thought at first that we could get away with the same structure of the legislature that we used to have –minus the decision about the executive –but as April turned into May, it looked like that would not happen…and then May turned to June and June turned to July –but in July we were able to vote on a few major proposals. By then there were caucuses, and then three major factions.

Caucuses:

The Founders - ~300 delegates. Favor original constitution. Could also be considered a faction.
God Caucus - ~500 delegates. Favor Christian values in the new Constitution
Palin Caucus - ~800 delegates. Named themselves the Palin Caucus to be ironic. Favors strong limitations on the power of the presidency. This caucus had the most support by far.
Roosevelts - ~50 delegates. Favored the American influenced Japanese Constitution
Smaller caucuses – ~888 delegates
No caucuses - ~100 delegates

Factions:

Citizen Faction -  Favors strong national legislature, weak presidency, and overall strong national government. Sees only the Presidency as a cause of the Second American Civil War. ~900 delegates
Compatriot Faction - Favors weak national legislature, weak presidency and stronger state governments. Sees Congress and the Presidency as a cause of the Second American Civil War. ~500 delegates
Henderson Faction – Named after delegate Greg Henderson. Favors a British-like (system in the United States. Sees the original Constitution as inherently flawed. ~700 delegates

No faction allegiance - ~500

Very interesting write-up.  As I said before, like the style, still holding true.  Dunno what I'd personally favor... maybe going towards a more British system, but I'm traditionally in favor of a strong president... in this scenario I'm not so sure anymore...

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s A Death of a Nation

In July we voted on several Constitutional Proposals by instant run-off voting to see which one had the most support. The winner would have been only a blueprint for the convention to work with.

The Blunt Constitution – No federal government, states would pledge to protect each other in times of need if they are able. Supported by some elements of the Compatriot Faction.

The Compatriot Constitution – Extremely weakened national government who’s primary duty is national defense and elections. Supported by the Compatriot Faction.

The Henderson Constitution –Creates a legislature elected proportionally, a ceremonial nationally elected President and an executive derived from the national legislature. Supported by the Henderson Faction

The Congressional Constitution – A Constitution that further defined and weakened the powers of the presidency and strengthening the national legislature. Supported by the Citizen Faction

The Original Constitution – Supported by the Founders Faction/Caucus

First Round:

Congressional Constitution – 33%
Henderson Constitution -  23%
Compatriot Constitution -19%
Original Constitution – 15%
Blunt Constitution – 7%
None of the above – 3%

Second Round:

Congressional Constitution – 33%
Compatriot Constitution -24%
Henderson Constitution -  23%
Original Constitution – 15%
None of the above – 5%

Third Round:

Congressional Constitution – 33%
Compatriot Constitution -27%
Henderson Constitution -  25%
None of the above – 15%

Fourth Round:

Congressional Constitution – 42%
Compatriot Constitution -30%
None of the above – 28%

Fifth Round:

Congressional Constitution – 45%
None of the above – 55%

After the vote on a blue print Constitution, it was clear that there were already deep divisions in the Continental Convention. The majority of the convention would rather have no constitution than use the most popular as a blueprint.

Unfortunately while we sat in the Convention, the situation in the rest of the United States grew worse.

News Report – August 2019

”CCA forces have taken a step back in their progress in restoring order in the central and eastern United States. Many of CCA’s forces are tied up keeping the quarantine on the states affected by the nuclear attacks and keeping order in communities…”

”Local and state elections have single digit turnout outside of New York and California…CCA forces found it hard to keep voting places open in some areas and in others hard to find anyone who would vote…”

”One local resident told us the feeling in his community was that the government should be focusing on getting them more food rather than semantics over a Constitution, asking ‘is this new Constitution going to feed us?’

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s A Death of a Nation

“As summer turned to fall, and fall turned to winter of 2019, we still did not have a Constitution. We were closer –we had decided to work with the Congressional Constitution blueprint –but even that proved troublesome. It took weeks for delegates to accept that as the blueprint and then the factions began to lobby for changes that reflected their own.

The Convention by January 2020 was at a stalemate, but what concerned me was the growing caucus that wanted to end the convention and “let the states deal with this on their own.” Basically, a group calling for the dissolution of the Union.

Interview with Ken Bennett, President of Arizona

“As you know, Mr President –there has been not much progress in the Continental Convention. What are your thoughts on how to solve this problem?”

“Well, I think this is what you get when you put a Washington politician like Russ Feingold in charge of a convention mandated with crafting a Constitution for the Union.”

“Are you suggesting that former Senator Feingold is the reason for the stalemate?”

“He’s certainly not helping the problem. Look, everything we’ve fought for in the past five or seven years has been against a problem that started in Washington. Sarah Palin and Chuck Landrieu came to power from Washington. Carl Xander –started in Washington as well. When Arizona broke away from the Union we did fine, and we are still doing fine. We have trade agreements with our neighbors and the only wars we have been threatened with are from where? Washington.”

“Mr. President, there have been many caucuses or conventions formed at the Continental Convention. If you were there, what one do you think you’d find yourself in?”

“That’s hard to say because I’m not actually there –but one that I really like, is the Fifty Stars Caucus. They believe every star on the flag should have its own chance to govern themselves for once –without Washington mandating what to do. That’s what this Convention is all about –politicians creating a new mandate from a new Washington. Let the states try it by themselves for once. Arizona, New York and California are doing fine.”

An excerpt from Russ Feingold’s Death of a Nation

“…and it was Spring 2020 when things began to spiral out of control. I tried. I truly did. I did not think I had it in me after I lost that election in 2016, but I mustered up the energy to try…and it wasn’t enough.

Bennett’s criticism of my leadership wasn’t what hurt. It was his endorsement of everything we’ve been fighting against. We had been fighting against the dissolution of the Union, and we had been fighting to keep it together even after the tyrannical rule of Sarah Palin, Chuck Landrieu and Carl Xander. Bennett was the first domino to fall, and unfortunately many others heard what he had to say, and it stuck.

The spring of 2020 brought a new round of riots from the food shortages. Rumors were rampant about feasts at the Continental Convention when in reality we were only marginally better off than the rest of the country. The rumors didn’t help. Attrition in the CCA military rose quickly, and there were some communities that were swearing off CCA support. Fontana and Wyland decided that if a community or state rejected CCA forces they would leave. They couldn’t afford another war.

On September 4th, 2020, after months and months of delaying a vote because I knew the outcome –I couldn’t resist anymore. A vote to end the Third Continental Congress came to the floor. The results? 69% voted to end the Congress. Just enough.

Even though the media helped pushed the narrative of the Congress to this ends, the result was devastating to the nation. The last glimmer of hope that was the Congress was evaporated. The CCA quickly dissolved as states began to aggressively assert their own sovereignty. Fontana and Wyland tried their hardest but they quickly moved their own forces back into their respective states boarders as a new war between states loomed for those who meddled in the affairs of others.

Years later, looking back on this, I regret one thing, bringing the motion to end the Third Continental Congress to the floor. It is with that vote that I sealed the death of a nation.

I wonder what the world and country be like by 2100? Was the territories of the US eventually assimilated into new colonial powers?

Not making a final map, but it would be states or subdivisions of the states as independent nations. Later down the line, I'd probably say there would be one hegemon in each region of the former US and many small buffer nations.

So America probably goes the way of Europe in the next several centuries? Maybe there is someone who is ambitious enough to cobble up a unified America in the future like in the Liebowicz series and perhaps California and New York remain as powerful rump nations, kind of like the Byzantiums of the 3rd Millenium AD.

America in 2045
(
)
Red- New California Republic (also has the Cour D'elene and Tuscon corridor, which is disputed with ASA and RLDS.
Blue- The Republican of the Latter Day Saints
Grey- American State of Arizona , Republic of Wyoming
Blue- The Commonwealth of New York (CNY)
Green- Vermont and Maine (To Canada)
Red- Rock Island Republic
Green- Republic of Texas (Green)
Grey- American State of Florida
Red- The Confederate States of America

Kansas, Missouri Kentucky and West Viriginia are basically run by various large estate holders that do the bidding of the more organized territories around them. St Louis is a self-governing City-States and various academic communities are independent.

There is also a Kingdom of Hawaii and Canada has joined Alaska and Canada is also beginning to expand into Eastern Siberia and into the North Atlantic.

I appreciate your interest and support, but I don't support fan-fiction on the same thread as mine :)

Thanks for bumping haha, did you like it?

SPOILER: After rereading, I do like how well I incorporated the title into the end of the story...and into the main narrator's own storyline.

I'd have to reread my own timeline but if i didn't mention it then it didn't effect the plot
