Title: MI PrimR: Public Policy Polling: (Preview) Santorum leading, but not by as much
Post by: Alcon on February 17, 2012, 11:23:10 PM
Tweet: "Santorum leading on the first night of our new Michigan poll, but much closer than we found there a week ago"

Last PPP result was Santorum +15.  PPP is a robo-poll, which tends to benefit Santorum because his supporters are higher-enthusiasm.

Hopefully the first poll was just a major outlier and that's why Santorum has dropped.

Realistically though, this is probably Florida Part II in the making.

To be fair everyone else showed a much more moderate lead, between 3-9 points. So unless the other companies also show Santorum's numbers eroding it must be just a correction.

After all his national numbers and PPP's Arizona poll don't seem to indicate a Santorum collapse.
