Title: Fox News kills old lady

... in a way.

I know this personally. FOX News killed my precious mother, Hallie. She watched FOX religiously. And when she fell ten days before she died, she refused to go to the doctor because, "I don't want Obamacare to get all of my information! she declared, recalling the warnings from FOX News "anchors." She was emphatic. She was not going to consort with the muslim enemy. As she made out her will she told her lawyer, "I don't want any of my money going to the Muslim Brotherhood!" And her last protestation dealt with "Obama's death panels." Mother died just days later. I hold FOX News responsible for my mother's death.

Quote from: http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/fox-news-lies-elderly-woman-dies
Hallie Jean Mayes Knauss Culpepper passed away on February 16, 2012. Ten days earlier, she had fallen, but as Knauss says, refused to see a doctor. Her obituary notes that she was a "lifelong, dyed-in-the-wool Republican" who at one time had also been a business owner (TECO Products, now Griffin Products).

And it seems, she got her news from Fox. It's not hard to understand where she got the idea that "Obamacare" had death panels. Just three days before Mrs. Culpepper's death, they were still calling them death panels. Republicans have been working hard (with the cooperation of some turncoat Democrats) to repeal that board, which is really the last best hope we have for keeping Medicare out of the crosshairs of budget hawks.

The death panel lie has been around since the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act in 2009, when Liberty Council first started circulating emails to seniors and Sarah Palin amplified it. Then we had the Fox News Parade of Idiots saying it over and over again, along with the usual complement of birthers. Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that a lifelong Republican who entered the age of television with the Fairness Doctrine where fair coverage and truth telling was part of the mix, would believe what Fox told her?

It seems her ignorance and stubbornness is what killed her, but certainly FoxNews deserves the sh**t they are taking for this.  If you believe the news over your own children that you (presumably) raised and (again, presumably) have your best interests at heart then you deserve your fate.

and who the hell needs five freaking names?

I don't understand how a greedy bastard can have five names when there are poor souls out there with only one like Adele.  Typical American greed right there.

I don't think Fox News killed her, I think her ignorance killed her. I mean, I have respect for the dead, but she didn't want to go to the hospital, so it's her fault.

She reproduced.  Although the child seems a lot better, so I suppose it wouldn't be a deserving award.

Wow... just wow...

People actually believe this story?

It's actually far more likely that the rabid leftist venom spewing marxist wacko invented the story to try to lash out at Fox News, in the same way he's invented other stories about various political topics.

And this gets reported as news? The ramblings of a lunatic who hates conservatives and Fox News?

Yeah, this guy is real credible.

http://crazyoldmanwtf.blogspot.com/2011/12/dont-tea-party-on-me-t-shirt-by-tracy.html

This story is nothing more than a delusional fantasy with the hopes that communist bloggers will push it as reality.

Right out of the Alinsky playbook.

He's making the assertion. He has the burden of proof. No one has provided a shred of evidence that he is even in the ballpark of truth.

What we do know is that he is a rabid leftist hack who routinely tries to insert himself in political situations.

That is evidence that points to a motive to lie.

The fact that you want to believe this story to be true doesn't make it true.

Fox News is a poor news network and biased, but it's a choice to believe them, thinking for yourself and not believing clearly false information is something you must do. Risking your health by not going to the doctor over nonsense is something only a foolish person would do.

People who take a "news" channel's word as God deserve stupid deaths.

I feel no pity whatsoever for this woman.  I do pity her kids though, who seem to be in denial about the true cause of their mother's death: her utter and undeniable naivety about the world around her and the excess stupidity in her system that ultimately caused her to GO BEYOND IDIOCY.

People who blame Fox News for her death, as if Fox News was some kind of f***ing cancer disease virus or a serial killer of truth, are either naive or being too nice about the cause.  Fox News doesn't cause stupid people.......STUPID PEOPLE CAUSE FOX NEWS.

I'm far more concerned about the many more people who routinely die because of lack of access to routine medical care.  This is a serious problem in the country, and it's a shame that so many people refuse to believe that it exists. The United States can do better.

One might say that FOX had a fair contributory hand in those deaths as well, n'est-ce pas?

My co-worker's father got so worked up by Glenn Beck in 2011 that he literally had a stroke and had to go to the hospital.

I stand corrected.  Ther has been ONE time that an anchor on Fox News said he was a Muslim.  (Although I believe the anchor who said  that was the morning anchor, and unless I have class, I'm never up that early, so I at least can say that I was truthful in saying I've never seen it ;D ).

That FoxNews morning show is quite possibly the worst thing "news" related ever broadcast that didn't feature the Iraqi Minister of Information.

I don't think Fox News killed her, I think her ignorance killed her. I mean, I have respect for the dead, but she didn't want to go to the hospital, so it's her fault.

Well that's the point - ignorance leads to FOX-viewing.

Or vice-versa. ;)

I wouldn't say that... I watch Msnbc, Fox and Nbc

I think the ignorance comes when you only watch an extremely Liberal or conservative channel and just accept whatever they say as fact without thinking for yourself.
