However I do tend to avoid the problem by not going outside during the daylight hours, or at least minimizing this sort of hazardous behavior.

For the last half dozen years I have found frames that have magnetically attached sunglasses designed to fit the frame. Its then easy to switch from outdoor to indoor by pocketing the sunglasses. Wearing sunglasses is good for your eyes, especially if you live in areas with strong and consistent sunlight. I suppose that isn't a "problem" in Sweden. :P I always wear sunglasses when driving and it's sunny out. It's ridiculously strong in higher elevations. Before vacation, I'm gonna pick up myself a pair of Oakley Gascans online. My eyes have always been sensitive to sunlight.
