Title: Do you ever clap your hands together in pleasure when you laugh? Post by: Insula Dei on May 06, 2012, 05:46:54 PM I've recently developed this habit and it's really difficult to get rid of. I feel it looks really affected and disingenuous, but I honestly can't help it. On the other hand there's some charm to it. I know a guy who will start beating very hard on the table when he's amused and it's a spectacle that is well worth seeing. (disclaimer: I'm perhaps slightly drunk with victory tonight. God bless Francois Hollande)

Title: Re: Do you ever clap your hands together in pleasure when you laugh? Post by: Bacon King on May 06, 2012, 09:27:15 PM I did it very often when I was younger but (mostly) broke myself of the habit because I thought it was weird. Will still do it rarely.
I'm worse about snapping to show approval- ubiquitous at fraternity meetings, but sometimes I'll catch myself doing it when I'm not around fraternity brothers and I'll feel like an idiot. Title: Re: Do you ever clap your hands together in pleasure when you laugh? Post by: Swedish Rainbow Capitalist Cheese on May 08, 2012, 06:10:44 PM No, never clap my hands together when I laugh, but I do the bang my hand in the table (or if there's no table my leg) just like your friend does when I find something extreamly funny. It's a reflex.
