Title: do you fear that you will be framed for a serious crime?
Post by: © tweed on May 07, 2012, 10:51:49 AM
one of my main fears, perhaps tantamount to death in potency but of course lacking the certainty.

I suppose my situation makes it an active threat.

Well I don't know about "framed", but "swiftly accused of" might be right.

And the accusers shall continue their charade, probably.

Yeah, that's why I try to be so nice to all of you losers.  Believe me, if I wasn't afraid of one of you framing me for a crime, I'd be a real jerk.

What the flipping flip?  You work in Corporate Finance in the Energy Industry, no?

Yeah, fear of planted drugs in my lugage when I travel to corrupt countries with death penalty/very hard prison conditions for drug smugling. Recurrent nightmare of mine.

Interestingly, whenever I enter and leave Thailand, there is no visible customs presence whatsoever - you literally walk right out of the airport.  Not only is there no customs line, or desk, or personnel, you don't even fill out a customs card on the plane anymore.

By contrast the last several times I entered the Bad Place (through LAX) a vicious drug sniffing dog was aimed at my crotch every time, as we were herded like convicts, and twice my bag was searched by the customs troopers.  And I think 'very hard prison conditions' are a given in our dear old homeland as well.

Believe me, corrupt countries are soooooooo much better than the Land of the Free.

Yeah, this bitch at work has had eyes on my job for a while.  She already tried spreading rumors that I was sleeping with one of my subordinates.  I couldn't prove it was her who spread it, but I know it was her.

Could she try something like this?  Eeeh, maybe not, but I've got one eye over my shoulder anyway.

No.  A little older, and married.

If you meant the subordinate - yes, but still in high school.

My fear is that I will be framed for a silly crime, such as coating the sides of the podiums at a presidential debate with superglue so that the candidates end up stuck to it.
