Kaine (D)- 49%
Allen (R)- 43%

'Seems a bit too generous to Kaine.

Yeah.  I'm not sure if we should believe any poll that shows either candidate with more than a 3 point lead...

Sample is D:31, R:29, and I:39.  Would our favorite green NC avatar like to comment on this?

The sampling actually looks about right - somewhere between 2004 and 2008, but I don't think anything has really happened to cause one of them to be leading by this much.

Meh, we'll see if more polls confirm a possible Kaine edge here.

I think it'd be reasonable to predict this as the closest Senate race of 2012.

Like 2006, I think Virginia and Montana will again be competing for that distinction.
