He's so bad that he's good.  "Jesus supports my policies!"  Just the kind of president we needed.  And thank God for Nancy "Bride of Christ" Pelosi, too!

Strongly disapprove. Especially since he's shown his true colors after the off-mic Russia incident.

Strongly disapprove. The economic stuff is to be expected, but he hasn't delivered on civil liberties.

Strong disapprove. He's actually -3 on this measure here, but overall positive by the number of voters.

Voted "no opinion" since there wasn't a "mild approval" option.  He's been much better at foreign policy than I thought he would be. (It would have been difficult for him to have done worse than I thought he would.)  Domestically, he's been only so-so, and in common with many first-term presidents, he did not wisely pick his fights.

It's not like he's run the country into the ground, so I approve. Not strongly, though.

So far 54.3% approve to some extent, 39.1 disapprove to some extent and 6.5% have no opinion or are unsure.

I would consider "Approve" to be a mild approval.

Strongly disapprove. Especially since he's shown his true colors after the off-mic Russia incident.

Is that his fault or the way politics works in this country? No one can get anything done in an election year.

Best President since Carter.

But that's not saying much, considering the stinkers who have ruled the roost in recent decades.

You don't think Carter was better? I think Carter would be the last president I would approve of.

Can't stand Romney, and I never have. Santorum losing has little to do with it, though it certainly didn't endear me to Mitt.

Obama's Forum approval rating is -14.

Or at least that's how Rasmussen would spin it.

I agree Carter's better than Obama.  Like Carter, Obama couldn't lead a dog with a pork chop, but at least Carter had some decent policies (economic deregulation, medium range nuclear missiles in Europe, aid to the anti-Sandanista forces in Nicaragua, etc.)

Approve; best president since Lyndon Johnson.

Wow, even better than Carter, eh?

Anyway, I have to agree with you that LBJ was better than Obama, if only because he always got substantial numbers of Republicans to vote for even his most controversial bills.

What are you seriously gonna vote for Romney?

Whats with all these New Englanders that love Romney so much? Maybe you guys think he is "one of you", but he isn't. I'm from Massachusetts, I know what a bad governor Romney was. And so would the rest of the country, had he opted to run for re-election in 2006 instead of tee-ing up for a two year, failed presidential campaign.

He saddled my state with a huge debt upon leaving and was almost dead last in terms of job creation. And don't gimme that bullshti about how the unemployment rate fell during his tenure. It was 2003-2007, the national economy was gearing into peak bubble mode. The rate was going down in lots of places, but in Romney's Massachusetts you barely felt it.

I hate moderate heroes. Having even a basic understanding of economics doesn't make one a moderate hero.

Just plain approve, if we're in a vaccum - that is to say, not considering the alternatives (President Hillary Clinton or John McCain? Or, this time around, Mitt Romney? *vomits*), strongly approve otherwise. :)

Not voting for Obama doesn't mean you'll vote for Romney. When it comes between choosing between two ineffective politicians I vote for neither. It's not like this is an election between Chris Christie and Hilary Clinton, it's an election between Obama and Romney in which neither of them have shown the kind of toughness to be effective within the hardball politics of Washington or the kind of vision that makes me confident to entrust them with the next 4 years.
