Title: Have you ever been to a two-story Target?
Post by: they don't love you like i love you on August 02, 2012, 10:18:51 PM
I used to think the one downtown was the only one in the country, but upon reading a bit it seems like they do exist in other locations and aren't uncommon on the West Coast. Of course people from Minnesota outside of Minneapolis often aren't aware they exist at all.

The Target in DC is two stories.

No, and, hopefully I'll never go to a Target.

Yes the one near Cleveland I go to is two-story and it's on floors 3 and 4 of a 5-floor mall built around a parking garage in the center. It's a very odd mall.

There might be a two story target somewhere in the county. Not sure.

New Orleans and Charlotte both have them.

Target is a dream. Went to a two-storey one across from the Grove in California.

I've shopped at the downtown Mpls store, so yes. I also used to ride my bike to the original Target in Roseville across from Har Mar.

I've been to a Target in Flordia.

It wasn't two-story though, or at-least, I don't remember it being two-story.

It's rather inconvenient with a shopping cart, but I've been to a few.

I've been to this one in Lakewood, not technically two story, but it has an underground parking garage.

I had no idea any major retail stores had more than one, albeit very spacious floor to them. O.o

They don't have the cool shopping cart escalators?

This is the closest Target to my house; my group used both stories in filming our AP English final project. It has the cool shopping cart escalators, naturally.

The one outside New Orleans did (I presume still does.) It's still an awkward thing when you have a lot of goodies in the cart. Or maybe I'm just not used to it. No two storey Targets in Memphis as land is quite cheap and readily available here.

I've been to a two story one before, somewhere in the south Boston suburbs I think.

Yeah I have, and have also wondered how many two story Targets there are. Didn't know there were so many.

It really is, opebo.

Kmart used to be the gold standard of sophistication, but it went pretty downhill.

I can also confirm that the Target in the Chicago Loop is two story. It is in the old Carson Pirie Scott department store and fills just part of the first two floors. The building is a nationally recognized historic landmark.

There's a target in my town that's two story. It's a very weird artifact, built out of lack of space. You can enter through the first floor parking garage or the third floor.

Target in Australia is a budget department store. I've only ever seen one-story Targets.
