Title: The Greatest American Post by: afleitch on August 10, 2012, 04:01:57 AM This is a debate and a survival game in many ways. If you wish to play then you may choose to nominate and individual that you consider to be the Greatest American. It's not good enough just to nominate; tell us exactly why. What were their achievements and legacy? What makes them truly great.
Be passionate about your choice and ready to defend them. This is not about who is most famous, but who you think is the greatest and it may be someone very few people know. (The BBC did a Greatest Briton series along these lines and the otherwise unknown Isambard Kingdom Brunel got 2nd place) Once we have enough nominations we will whittle it down to 10 and then vote them down one by one. So if you wish to nominate do so now and give us your reason why. Please more than one or two lines :P |
