Whose name has not been mentioned?

For me, I would have to choose the other Senator from Illinois - Sen. Dick Durbin.

D: Sen. Bennett (D-CO), Sen. Feingold (D-WI), Gov. Lynch (D-NH), Sen. Heinrich (D-NM), Rep. Kucinich (D-OH), Sen. Gravel (D-AK), Gov. Dean (D-VT), Gov. Richardson (D-NM), Sen. Webb (D-VA).
R: Gov. Sandoval (R-NV), Gov. Haley (R-SC), Sen. Cruz (R-TX), Rep. Amash (R-MI), Sen. Flake (R-AZ).
I: Gov. Ventura (L?-MN), Mayor Bloomberg (I-NY).

This is only those who haven't been mentioned much, as specified in the OP. There's also people who I certainly don't want to be anywhere near the ticket, like Gillibrand, Klobuchar, Sanders, etc.

I would like Andrew Cuomo to run, he reminds me of an Italian Nixon.

I get that impression of him as well, which is why I don't want him to run, or at least lose if he does.

In order:
Democrats: Bernie Sanders, Russ Feingold, Van Jones.
Republicans: Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum.  Someone who can make any of those three Dems look electable, especially Sanders.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada, so he can't be POTUS...

Wasn't his mom a citizen though? If the Republicans really want him as a presidential candidate, they could easily use that interpretation of the Constitution.

The GOP would look like two-faced liar.  As we all know, the Birthers argument is invalid because Momma Obama was born in Kansas, thus making him an American Citizen.  They purposefully ignore that very fact.  To turn around and say Momma Cruz's birthplace counts but Momma Obama's does not.  Everyone including the media would be crying foul and rightfully so which would derail any chance Cruz or the GOP has.

Yes, and this debate was settled long ago.

Could someone please interpret Bushie's post for me? He seems to be saying this:

Premise 1. Barack Obama is constitutionally eligible for the presidency.
Premise 2. Ted Cruz is constitutionally eligible for the presidency.
Premise 3. Some people claim that Barack Obama is not actually eligible for the Presidency.

Conclusion: Ted Cruz should not run for office.

But I can't believe that anyone is actually that ridiculous ingenious.

The GOP would look like two-faced liar.

"The GOP?" Dog-whistles and pandering aside, birtherism is not Republican doctrine.

Actually, birtherism is ridiculous because Obama was born in the United States.

Huh? What?

Barack Obama. But, seeing how that's either unconstitutional or only possible if he loses...

Gillibrand/Bill Richardson sounds like a good ticket.

Sane Republican/Sane Republican would be very welcome, too.

Joe Biden is seriously my #1 choice for 2016 at the moment, with Hickenlooper a close second.

But really, I'd go for anybody but Cuomo (yes, that includes people who might be even more "moderate").  The Nixon comparison is very apt.

Brian Schweitzer I think would be the best for the Democrats. He appeals to a wider base while having the ability to maintain today's Democrats. I think Andrew Cuomo, Martin O'Malley, and a far shot, Al Franken are who I would want. If Hillary runs, she would also be up there.

As for Republicans, who I obviously don't want to win, going with one of their rising young-guns is the best choice. Christie and Rubio come to mind, and I think Ryan is hurting his reputation this year. Not to a Sarah Palin extent, but still damaging among the moderate GOP base.

In my own impossible world, Bernie Sanders would be good. But that won't happen, considering his age and what appears to be radical left to the US.

On isidewith.com I was in 0% agreement with the republican platform. Remarkable. So basically what I'm hoping for in 2016 is this:

GOP: A bunch of unelectable crazies. Just like this year, minus Romney and Huntsman.

Dems: Someone electable. Anyone really.

But really, I would like to see Hillary Clinton as president. I think she would be great. In 2008 I supported her vs Obama and really wanted a Clinton/Obama ticket. I don't think she's gonna run, though.

If Romney, inspite of everything, does a really good job in his first term as president, then I hope to god the Democrats nominate Martin O'Malley or Elizabeth Warren. They would lose terrifically.

Sherrod Brown could be the best potential Democratic presidential candidate. He can win white-working class voters while holding the base. Great guy, and would be a great candidate to run. Definitely my favorite presidential possibility.

For the Republicans, I hope Santorum runs and gets the nomination. Mostly because I don't want the Republicans to have a chance at winning the White House.
