Climate change does occur, but I have to wonder how they are measuring some of this.

Quote
It calculated that five million deaths occur each year from air pollution, hunger and disease as a result of climate change and carbon-intensive economies, and that toll would likely rise to six million a year by 2030 if current patterns of fossil fuel use continue.

For instance, how are they linking disease related deaths to climate change?

Quote
More than 90 percent of those deaths will occur in developing countries,

Hunger and disease kill people in developing countries more frequently than developed ones regardless of climate change. Again, how are they distinguishing these five million from other deaths that aren't linked to climate change, if they did at all?

There isn't a direct link to the report, and the site that is linked to doesn't have any apparent location for it. Climate change will certainly impact us, but I'm suspicious of things like this where the numbers sound exaggerated and there's no ready access to the data.

We're on track to have 90 million die from climate change by 2030 (a WTF result by itself), and the headline is that if we don't do something we'll have 100 million die? That's some extremely disingenuous reporting.
