If she somehow wins, Heidi Heitkamp could be an interesting player in the Senate.

Looking at this list, we could be seeing a lot of new liberal women in the senate.

Carmona might be interesting.

Tammy Baldwin, both for historical reasons and because she's appealing, and Elizabeth Warren, because of the capture of the senate by finance among both parties, including senior Republicans plus NY-area Dems like Chuck Schumer.

Least interested in Shelley Berkley or Tim Kaine although naturally happy to have the support in the Senate if they win.

I think Richard Carmona would make a good Senator; I'm impressed with his record and his ads so far.

I'm weirded out that 538 has Donnelly a slight favorite to win and Berg a very heavy favorite to win. I'd average them out and have both Mourdock and Berg favored to win with a reasonable chance for an upset.

Tammy Baldwin, Elizabeth Warren and Heidi Heitkamp will all be great new progressive female senators. Richard Carmona could be really great, but I suspect that awful Flake will squeak through.

Mazie Hirono is breathtaking.

If you mean which one would I most like to see elected, then Richard Carmona, though obviously I'd prefer Flake. (Arizona's Senate election this year is really top-notch; two awesome candidates, it's a shame they both can't be Senators). Which one is most exciting -- I suppose Warren, in the sense that it'll be exciting to watch the Republicans keep her influence in the Senate as low as possible.

So which should I vote for?

It's what the polls say. That is more odd. That race is the hardest to get a gauge on, with polling varying widely and coming mostly from unreliable players.

Carmona may not be progressive, but he has an excellent record and a compelling story, so I'm excited for a possible win by him.

Warren and Heitkamp. I know nothing about Baldwin, though.

Yes, they're fantastic! 

Hirono and Baldwin.  They would represent historic firsts for women in the Senate and would help bring a diverse perspective to the caucus.

But the cold, rational part of my brain thinks the candidate with the greatest potential to impact policy is Elizabeth Warren.  And because her race has been nationalized, she would likely have a media spotlight which a savvy player could use to their advantage.  OTOH, she isn't an experienced pol like Hirono and Baldwin so there is a greater potential for her to be a bust.

I'm ecstatic for Warren - she's my favorite candidate of them all. Carmona also looks very promising.

After November, we'll start to see Draft Warren and Draft Baldwin movements. Heinrich is a good Presidential material in 2 or 3 cycles. If VA gets more and more Democratic, Kaine would be in position to be VP or Democratic Senate Leader. Carmona would be a favorite to be Vice Presidential nominee in 2016.

Yes, with five Democratic women in competitive races with five Republican men (MA, WI, NV, MO, ND).

Carmona, Heinrich and Heitkamp are really pretty good too.

assuming he wins, Murphy would be my favorite senator. He's still relatively young and could hold the seat for a good five or six terms and become a committee chairman.
