What's there to be excited about? This, but Jeff Flake is most likely to dissent from the party shooting money at its allies like a firehose, so I voted for him. The same way that Torie likes Tom Coburn even though some of his other positions are really difficult to support. Contrast with George Allen, whose idea of a conservative campaign is marrying social conservative bona fides and personal viciousness with a pork barrel approach to defense spending. He's spoken with several political scientists and they have assured him that when Democrats propose socialist legislation, the Congress has natural mechanisms to shut that down.
