Debate- McCain pummels President. Is Oval Office Syndrome present?- 9/5/03
()
CONCORD- John McCain appears to have "hit it out of the park" last night against the President in New Hampshire. At ABC's debate he attacked the President on Domestic as well as foreign issues with one notable line merging- "Mr. President, you're harming my America, your America, and the America of the future" Bush, on the other hand, fumbled and repeatedly created awkward silences as he was not quick on his feet. Overall McCain may likely receive a bounce over the next few days.

McCain Condemns End of Libyan Sanctions- 9/12/03
()
NEW YORK- Yesterday the United Nations announced it was ending the sanctions against Libya put in place following the Lockerbie Disaster. Senator McCain, in a speech, announced that he highly condemned the actions stating "Just a day following the anniversary of one of the worst acts of terrorism in history we pardon Libya, proven to have committed one such act?" This comes just 2 days before the second time him and the President will face off in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Debate A Draw- Are They Doing More Harm Than Good?- 9/15/12

()
LAS VEGAS- Last night, for the second time, the President and John McCain debated only this time there was no clear winner. Both candidates "played it safe" but even so quite a few gaffes were made. McCain made several wrong statements about Foreign Policy including a mangling of facts on Iraq while the President accidentally called Colin Powell a Democrat. Both candidates will likely be skewered in late night comedy as well as SNL which brings to mind one question: "Are these really doing any good?"

Chafee, Snowe, Collins, and Smith All Endorse McCain, Call Last 4 Years "Wrong Direction"-9/20/03

()
D.C.- 4 of John McCain's Republican Senate colleagues came out in support of him today. Susanne Collins-R ME, Lincoln Chafee-R RI, Olympia Snowe R ME, and Gordon Smith R OR all spoke at a rally in Ohio today. They cited the President moving farther to the right as well as Iraq as the downsides of the last 4 years. Collins and Snowe together however delivered what is considered the speech of the entire event and got loud cheers from the crowd gathered. This event has done some good as well as bad as it has enflamed leading Conservative journalists as well as a large portion of the party. Other notable Republicans at the rally include the newly inaugurated Governor Mitt Romney as well as Secretary of Styate Colin Powell.

Last Effort to Win Votes in Cali.-9/26/03
 ()
SAN FRANCISCO- Schwarzenegger, Issa, and Bustamente all participated in a last minute statewide televised debate. Schwarzenegger, however, appeared awkward while Issa won this night. He linked Bustamente to the failing Governorship in progress as well as pushing the narrative that Schwarzenegger is too inexperienced. Overall polling conducted immeadiately after shows that he is now surging and could win the recall election.

Who do you support for Governor?
Issa- 32%
Bustamente- 27%
Schwarzenegger- 24%

RNC Announces Several Primary Date Schedules, Most Similar to Democrats- 10/1/03

()
D.C.- Earlier this year reports indicated that several states wouldn't be holding primaries as it was a reelection year. However, following John McCain's entrance the RNC created a new schedule almost identical to that of the Democrats in order to get every state in. The McCain Campaign applauded the efforts with a press release while all has been silent from the White House.
GOVERNOR-ELECT ISSA!- CALIFORNIA RECALL- 10/7/03
()
SAN DIEGO- Darrell Issa will be the next Governor of California according to our projection in the California Gubernatorial Election. He beats both Bustamente and Schwarzenegger by a margin larger polled. This comes just 2 hours after we projected the majority of Californians have supported Gray Davis' recall.

3rd Debate McCain Comes Roaring Back- 10/12/03

()
DES MOINES- After a disappointing finish in the previous debate John McCain appears to have come roaring back. Last night he challenges the President on several issues including bipartisanship (which he said the president lacked) as well as the Middle East. Although this has been shown to boost his rating with independents it's still not clear how the conservative wing of the party feels.

Early Election Map Shows Problems for Both
Sides- 10/24/03

(
)
CHICAGO- With our first General Election map of the season created we've discovered some terrible new for both sides. It will be close. A generic Republican vs. a generic Demcrat puts many states into play including the all important Ohio and Florida. Although individual candidates may affect the map we believe it will generally look something like this.

Mississippi and Kentucky Gubernatorials Show Great Results for Republicans- 11/6/03
()()

JACKSON/FRANKFURT- Even though it is an election off year there are still elections taking place, much to the delight of Republicans. Haly Barbour and Ernie Fletcher will both be placed in the Governor's mansions we can project. The margins both mirror each otyher with the Republicans in  both states winning 55% and the Democrats getting 44%. These results may give hope to Louisiana's struggling gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal who is currently in the race for his life against the Democratic Candidate Kathleen Blanco. They are scheduled to compete in a runoff taking place in just a few more days.

Bin-Laden Video- "Bush will help us fill our goals"- 11/8/03

()
KABUL- A video surfaced today in which Osama Bin Laden states that Bush is fulfilling terrorists goals by making the world hate the U.S. with their involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. The White House in response issued a statements saying "We can assure all Americans that we are doing all we can to make sure we capture Osama Bin Laden." This appears to be registering negatively for Bush's campaign however as party members from both sides attack him.

Jindal Gets Narrow Victory, Democrats Unfazed- 11/15/03

()
NEW ORLEANS- We are now able to project Bobby Jindal will beat out the incumbent Democrats for the office of Louisiana's Governor. His victory comes as a surprise to many analysts as rumors were circulating he was already preparing a 2007 run as he expected to lose. Kathleen Blanco, in her concession speech, sounded unfazed and pledged to help Democrats fight on for a better Louisiana. Blanco's spouse, Raymond, is already creating speculation his wife may try for the Senate election in the upcoming yoear. If that's the case she may be able to clear the field of any potential Democratic opposition.

Issa Sworn in As Governor- 11/17/03
()
SACRAMENTO- Issa has officially become California's newest Governor, however, polls show that his approval rating is only at 52%. This could already mean trouble if he decides to seek reelection in 2006. Following taking the oath the new Governor along with his family attended state inauguration ceremonies. To put it simply it was a very proud day for Republicans in one of the nation's most liberal states.

Is Bush Back in Action?!- Narrowly wins debate- 11/24/03
()
MYRTLE BEACH- Following the endorsement by Osama Bin Laden the President's campaign has been made out to be stumbling, however, last night's debate may silent some of his critics. Bush beat back McCain from the right and framed his as too centrist. Already having a lead in the polls this brings to question whether or not McCain Campaign is even valid anymore.

Braun Launches Bid for Illinois Senate, Clears Most of the Democratic Primary Field- 12/2/03
()
CHICAGO- Long time specualted to be a candidate Carol Braun has announced today she will be begining a late-entrance bid for the Democratic Nomination for Senator. This comes just a week after she announced that seeking the Democratic Presidential Nomination was no longer feasible. Almost over night Braun caused State Senator Barack Obama, Radio Personality Nancy Skinner, and Daniel Hynes all to drop their bids and endorse her. Braun stated that she was "eager to get fighting for Illinois again in the Senate". Flash polls taken just hours ago do indicate she has a good chance of winning as she tops out all of the Republican opponents by 5 points or more.

With One Month to go Dean, Bush Ahead in Iowa- 12/19/03
 ()()
DES MOINES- This just one month to go until Iowa's first in the nation caucuses President Bush and Howard Dean both are clinging to narrow leads in Iowa. John McCain, surprisingly, is doing OK in the Hawkeye State even though he has been told by many nes not "a good fit". However, in this volatile political climate it is truly likely anything can happen in 1 month.

Hussein Narrowly Evades Capture! Was It Due to Bush Campaigning?- 12/29/03
()

BAGHDAD-
We are now able to say with quite a bit amount of certainty Saddam Hussein has narrowly escaped capture. Reports indicate that The Army was notified of his location but failed to receive orders to proceed as Bush was giving a harsh campaign speech against John McCain in Ohio. Bush's numbers are almost at a free fall and this primary went from lean Bush to a horse race.

Kathleen Blanco shakes up Louisiana Senate Race, Announces Bid Just Days Before Iowa Caucuses- 1/5/04

()
BATON ROUGE- Just days following her sucessor's inauguration Former Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has announced she will indeed seek the Senate seat in the upcoming November Elections. She will likely face little opposition in the jungle primary and potential runoff but will have to dodge quite a bit of Republican firepower. David Vitter,  her opponent, will also have an uphill battle as this seat has only been held by a Republican once shortly following the Civil War and Reconstruction. Whatever the case it appears Louisiana will be hotly contested this election season.

Bush, Edwards Carry Iowa By the Skin of Their Teeth!- 1/19/04

DES MOINES- Last evening we were able to call Iowa for the President as well as a surprising victory for Senator John Edwards.

For the Republicans the evening started out close but following more and more western caucus sites closing Bush's percentage began to rise up until he was around 10 points ahead of John McCain. Almost immediately following the call McCain didn't seem  disheartened by any means and in a brief speech he maintained a positive tone about New Hampshire.

Dean and Edwards were neck and neck all night up until around midnight we made the call in favor of Edwards. Senator Kerry placed in a distant 3rd but pledged to move forward. Almost all of the other candidates besides the 3 mentioned above dropped out this morning.

BOSTON/MONTPELIER/RALEIGH- John Kerry appears to be sealing up the nomination following tremendous, surprising wins in many states including Missouri and North Dakota. Edwards managed to hold onto both South Carolina and Oklahoma but was visible disappointed with the evening's outcome. Howard Dean however fared the worst. He didn't manage to carry a single state and according to some sources he will end his campaign tomorrow morning. However these could very well be rumors but if it is the case party leaders may be asking Edwards to bow out.

Dean Ends Campaign, Makes No Endorsement- 2/5/04
()
MONTPELIER- Although he appeared to be an early frontrunner for the nomination Democratic candidate for President Gov. Howard Dean ended his bid today. "I see no future for me in this campaign so today I tell my fellow Democrats it's truly been a great honor of mine to have been given such a wonderful opportunity." Kerry applauded Dean's exit calling him a "True American" while also suggesting Edwards bow out saying "It's time to unite so we can win back the White House".

Michigan, Washington: McCain and Kerry Sealing the Deal?- 2/8/04
()

PHOENIX/BOSTON-
Following 2 more victories in last nights caucuses held in Michigan and Washington the 2 Johns appear to be sealing the deal.

Last evening when the call broke in favor of McCain the President gave a brief and somber address to a crowd of supporters. He never actually mentioned McCain by name instead gave a more gentle to calling him "my opponent" also he gave mush less blows than he has before. In Phoenix, however, there was an entirely different reaction. Crowds of McCain's supporters crowded into the rally chanting his name. In his address McCain reminded voters of how replacing an incumbent from the Primary is a unique precedent possibly set during this Primary Season.

John Edwards' campaign made little reference to their double loss except for a brief statement. Edwards cancelled an event in Michigan following internal polling. Kerry now is making widespread calls for him to step down but currently that doesn't appear likely. Edwards stated on the Today Show this morning that he wants to give voters a choice in the Democratic Primary stating "that's how a healthy Democracy works". Whatever the case McCain and Kerry do have the momentum heading into Maine and beyond.

Maine, Tennessee, and Virginia All Take Place Over Past 3 Days- 2/11/04
()
AUGUSTA/NASHVILLE/RICHMOND- The past few days appear to be validating earlier statements that the Primary Season is ending. John Kerry swept the 3 states while McCain took all but one over the last few days. Bush stayed strong and won Tennessee but didn't managed to deliver in either Maine or Virginia. Edwards stated he will be reevaluating his candidacy while Bush said he will press on. But at what cost?

Breaking: Edwards drops out; Surprise Endorsement of Kerry- 2/13/04
()
RALEIGH- Following continued dismal showings in his party's primaries so far U.S. Senator John Edwards suspended his campaign for President today. Edwards, initially a long shot candidate was given a second look by many Democrats following an unexpected Iowa victory. Iowa, however, didn't managed to win his the Nomination as Kerry won all but 2 states up until today. Regardless the Primary season for the Democrats has now ended and America's focus will turn to the Republican race where McCain is leading the incumbent for a historic attempt at winning the nomination.

Bush Will Stay in the Race Until Super Tuesday, Just a Few Weeks Away- 2/15/04
()
D.C.- Following yet another Primary loss, this time Nevada, President Bush announced last evening that if he doesn't manage to win/recover on Super Tuesday he will drop out. This comes just hours after a large ad blast led by Karl Rove hit the airwaves with a new, rare positive ad for the President. However McCain has attacked the Bush campaign for the ad stating "How can a man run on his record when the majority of party leaders as well as a few of his Cabinet members have endorsed his primary opponent for President?"

Pope Dismayed at John Kerry's Platform- 2/17/04
()
ROME- Pope John Paul II has gotten distantly involved in the United States Presidential Election. In a brief statement the Pope was apparently disappointed in Senator Kerry's views on Abortion. According to recent polls Kerry does narrowly lead both John McCain and the President with Catholics by a 47-43 margin. However, that will likely change as many Catholics may be forced to give Kerry a second look, whether they like it or not.

McCain Continues to Sweep Primaries, Wins WI, HI, ID, and UT- 2/24/04
()
PHOENIX- Little mention of John McCain's continued victories has come from either his of the President's campaigns. However looking deeper it appears John McCain has a very high chance of becoming the party's nominee accomplishing a feat in which Reagan, Ted Kennedy, and Theodore Roosevelt all failed in. Unseating an incumbent of their own party. This has ramifications way beyond this election of this indeed comes to pass and it could create a truly humbling perspective for future incumbents.

Candidates Criss-Cross Nation in the Last Push for Primary Votes- 3/1/04
()
NEW YORK- With just hours to go until the most crucial night in the Republican Primaries both candidates are circling the nation in a hectic attempt to win over the last groups of Republican undecideds. The President has been darting from East to West gradually while McCain has just been in the so called "primary tossups." It seems very clear that both sides know that this could be it for the primary season.

Edwards for NC!-3/2/04
()
RALEIGH- Senator John Edwards announced just mere hours before Super Tuesday voting closed that they will both run in their respective Senate races. Edwards' Senate race leans in his favor as he is running for reelection. Even so, North Carolina leans R on a national level so the results could be surprising.

SUPER TUESDAY- McCain Pulls Ahead With Wins in CA, CT, MD, MA, MN, NY, OH, RI, VT! Bush carries GA!- 3/2/04
(
)
PHOENIX- Tonight has all but sealed the deal for McCain and the Republicans. He managed to carry all but 1 primary against an incumbent on the most important night of the election. No word from the Bush campaign yet however, we can confirm that he will be speaking in a few minutes from Austin.

Bush Bows Out. GE- KERRY v. MCCAIN- 3/2/04

()
AUSTIN- History has just occurred. Senator John McCain has just defeated n incumbent president in their party primary. This changes election forever for incumbents everywhere.

George Bush had a somber mood in his speech but said he is "leaving this office with dignity for my successor John McCain". An endorsement was actually not expected to comes as an unexpected bonus for McCain as he now faces John Kerry in an attempt to win the election. Our current poll average actually has the 2 men tied both at 47% on when could be considered the 1st Night of the General Election Campaign.
