She only won by 7 Sure, but the question is about open seats. Also, 7 points was a pretty cushy margin compared to her last two wins. 'Not to mention Obama was on the same ballot and lost by 19. But Republicans also had 20 seats up in that cycle to the Democrats ten in a addition to the fact that is was a midterm of a Republican President. Democrats really had no excuse for losing the Senate that year. Shaheen and Mondale should have won. |
