I can't recall the poll board ever being this bad. Everyone just pretends as if every poll going against their candidate is useless with arguments of ever-decreasing quality. Title: Re: National, Monmouth: Romney in the lead Post by: Umengus on October 22, 2012, 12:31:04 PM Party id= D +4

I can't recall the poll board ever being this bad. Everyone just pretends as if every poll going against their candidate is useless with arguments of ever-decreasing quality. I agree with you when it comes to party ID etc, but I think there is some credence in being concerned with demographic sub samples which don't change nationally by too much year on year. I mean this poll is pretty consistent (when compared with other polls) when it comes to White and Black voting intention; but it sticks out like a sore thumb with Hispanics. It would be the same if a poll suddenly showed Romney within 10% of Obama on the black vote despite that not happening in any national election in the modern era. Title: Re: National, Monmouth: Romney in the lead Post by: Warren 4 Secretary of Everything on October 22, 2012, 02:19:20 PM Is there a reason RCP includes this crappy pollster, Rasmussen, the Wash Times, and Politico but not PPP?
Title: Re: National, Monmouth: Romney in the lead Post by: Lief 🗽 on October 22, 2012, 02:21:30 PM Because RCP is a joke run by Republican hacks. They're also not including the Democracy Corps survey, showing Obama up by 3, for some reason

Title: Re: National, Monmouth: Romney in the lead Post by: J. J. on October 22, 2012, 02:32:21 PM How reliable in Monmouth? First time I ever heard of it. It's a uni poll, so it is not particularly good. What's really galling are the bogus claims of false equivalence. Title: Re: National, Monmouth: Romney in the lead Post by: Lief 🗽 on October 22, 2012, 02:55:24 PM Gustaf loves bogus equivalence. It's no coincidence that he's complaining about this in a thread where the red avatars are (rightfully) criticizing a suspect poll.
