Title: Primary results Post by: 2952-0-0 on February 05, 2005, 01:26:32 AM My primary polls have expired and we have:
Santorum/Allen (R) vs. Bayh/Warner (D) What would happen? Who wins? Could Santorum unite the so-called RINOs? Will Bayh bring in the far left wing of his party? Title: Re: Primary results Post by: AuH2O on February 05, 2005, 01:28:31 AM That Dem ticket would probably mean a severe split on the left, more than likely meaning a 3rd party candidate with teeth.
Santorum/Allen would probably win, though they wouldn't in a pure 2-team match. Title: Re: Primary results Post by: Moooooo on February 05, 2005, 11:15:10 AM ()
That would be a brutal race. Those two matchups (bayh/warner and santorum/allen) are probably the strongest tickets that either side could put out. Title: Re: Primary results Post by: True Democrat on February 05, 2005, 12:35:03 PM Bayh/Bayh
Title: Re: Primary results Post by: went that way on February 06, 2005, 08:45:11 AM I'm thinking Bayh/Bayh

Explain to me why you think Bayh/Warner would do so well there? Title: Re: Primary results Post by: True Democrat on February 06, 2005, 01:56:02 PM () That would be a brutal race. Explain to me why you think Bayh/Warner would do so well there? It would be close because New Hampshire is economically centrist, but slightly libertarian socially. Bayh's populism would hurt him there. Title: Re: Primary results Post by: A18 on February 06, 2005, 02:09:59 PM New Hampshire is very right-wing economically.
Populism = liberalism. No difference. Title: Re: Primary results Post by: ian on February 06, 2005, 03:33:13 PM I (grudgingly) voted Bayh-Bayh, though I wish the Republicans could turn out something better than Santorum.
Title: Re: Primary results Post by: AuH2O on February 06, 2005, 03:37:35 PM They will. Trust me.

No difference. populism=liberalism? liberalism in US (left) or EU (right) sense? Populism in my opinion is a man who want: to increase taxes on rich people (to decrease taxes for the rest), social security for all, death penalty for bastards, guns to protect his family,... |
