Title: Gore's chances now?
Post by: BobOMac2k2 on February 06, 2005, 08:59:03 PM
What do you think Gore's chances at getting the nomination now?

After all he did endorse Dean for President and it looks like Dean has the party Chair locked up, do you think he will pull strings for Gore?

I'd think Clinton would have more strings to pull than Gore would.  Gore would face opposition from the Clinton machine backing Clinton and the moderates who will back Bayh.  If Gore can get Dean's support, he may be able to get close, but I doubt most Democrats want Gore to run again.

All Democrats think of Gore as a man who was robbed... I think he stands a better chance than Clinton.

Plus the Democrats are trying to be more like Democrats, Gores campaign in 2000 representated that.

I dont even think Clinton will run in 08.

She wont be able to beat Bayh, Kerry, and Gore in the primaries.

Gore will do well to avoid a complete nervous breakdown before '08.  He has NO chance of winning the Democrat nomination, and even less of getting elected.

He only did as well as he did in 2000 because he ran as a moderate, at least until the last two weeks of the campaign.  Now he is outted as a left-wing extremist, so he would fare even worse than Kerry.
