A BILL

Recognizing the the sacrifices made by our veterans, this bill seeks to remove an unintended hindrance to veteran aliens seeking legal status under the ‘Development, Relief, and Education Act for Alien Minors’ or the ‘DREAM Act.’

Title: A Dream of Veteran Fairness Act.

The third bulletpoint in Section 2 of the Development, Relief, and Education Act for Alien Minors’ or the ‘DREAM Act.’, shall not apply to the military veterans in the first part of bullet point 5.

This bill exempts veteran aliens seeking legal status under the Dream Act from having to meet the GPA requirement.

I don't want this to be controversial and I don't this to get sucked up into a larger debate about immigration and and immigration policy and so forth. There have been other and bills and other places to do that. Lets do this for our veterans and lets get it done before Christmas, preferably long before.

Therefore, I ask unanimous consent to waive the minimum debate time requirement and the cloture requirement to proceed immediately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.

Seconded (if it has to be seconded).

But this seems like something hard not to support.
