Lazy, inefficient Chinese need to reform their labour market, or else they'll remain uncompetitive. No use capturing the wealth creators who've been good enough to given them below subsistence wages, they need to adopt the work ethic of the Indians.

I don't think kidnapping is worth the death penalty Lief, but it wouldn't be the first time you surpised me.  They're just poor people stuck in a sh**tty country after all.

The surprise is than the authorities of the said country didn't just launched police on the workers.

Using a guillotine on a worker would be in very poor taste, dead0.

And at some point, the following things will happen...

1. An unresolved grudge between two employees will be dealt with.

2. Li-Yen, the shy guy in accounts payable, will tell Mei-Ling, the comely assembly line girl, how he really feels about her. And guess what? She feels the same way about him!

3. The American boss will agree not to move the factory to India because this whole situation has reminded him that what really matters in life are people.

4. In a misunderstanding, the SWAT team will ambush the factory in a scene reminiscent of National Lampoons' Christmas Vacation.

Well, perhaps boss would care more if their decision had an impact on them and they had to take a real risk, instead of living in a virtual world of numbers.

It is a step in the right direction.  All they need now is a guillotine.

It would be ironic if the underpaid grunts in the various Deep South sweatshops, kept in a state of perpetual irateness by Fox News and the outrage-industrial complex and armed to the teeth via lax firearm restrictions, one day decided to turn their anger and their guns on the guys upstairs.
