So when Rassy shows a close race, it isnt dominating but when an Indy poll shows a GOP dominance it is taking seriously. Quinn is in the exact same spot against Brady. But the Dem dominance in the state legislature will end.

Because that's what Dominating means. If it's close, it ain't dominating.

Dems are in hot water due to expiration of income tax. When the time comes Quinn will open up on Rauners anti union ways. Rauner has positioned himself as a moderate on SSM.

Doesn't surprise me, since Quinn's recent Twitter controversy and the new criminal investigation into his Admin.  Splendid news if it's accurate.

decimals tho

Do you think Republicans will win the legislature?  The Dem majorities there look pretty robust.

Republicans will not win the legislature. They will make gains though.

I said dominance. But GOP will be looking to add 3-6 Senate seats and a turnover may be imminent in 2016.

Why would there be a turnover in 2016, of all cycles? ???

I know nothing of IL politics, but I would assume that Democrats sort of have built-in majorities for both chambers in Cook County as well as the smaller, liberal cities downstate.  Is that not true?

Well the Dems are more insulated in House than the Senate due to Speaker Madigan. But the GOP is likely togain3-6 Senate seats  With a narrow control of Senate, Lisa may opt to run for Kirk seat instead of gov

Once again, this poll has 75% of its respondents above 45, and 40% of them are over 60 (a problem that WAS has failed to correct).

Throw this poll out. The crosstabs are beyond garbage.

I think Quinn is done. The state is in distress I see no good reason why voters should re-elect him.

Here are the cross tabs. Weighted toward the elderly and downstate. Not surprising that they put Rauner up big.

Also the idea of Republicans taking the Illinois House is laughable. Beating the supermajority would be what they would focus on. They're not getting control of either of the chambers anywhere but ILGOP's pipedreams.

Voters reelected Daley time and time during th he crime wave of 90's. Voters as long: as you have a D after your name in Cook will vote their conscious. This is his last term anyway and he will be the very person, not Rauner to increase min wage.

I think that's his point.

Hmm? It is that very quote and the others linked that is the source of this treachery. Fool me once...

Now Quinn is backtracking, along with Senate President John Cullerton and House Speaker Michael Madigan. They want the tax increase to become permanent.

I still have Pat Quinn surviving re-election by a slim margin due to high Democratic turnout in Cook County. While Cook County alone won't secure Quinn's re-election, it will definitely be a contributing factor to it.

Regardless, Quinn is done politically either this year or in 2018.

Folks in Illinois are getting sick and tired of him.

If you read the article, it mentions another poll around the same time that shows Rauner leading by 19 points, so I doubt this is a fluke.
